Lovely property in great location let down by whoever undertook cleaning.
Well equipped, everything worked and very comfortable throughout. Owner instruction booklet comprehensive and clear, number and proximity of keys was appreciated. The garden was fully fenced and when the front gate was closed completely safe for our Cairn terrier who enjoyed the terrific walks and great beaches.
Towels and bed linen provided were clean. One evening a blanket was needed and this was found to have dirty marks and this followed a theme, filthy oven, dirty fridge/freezer, especially bottom tray of latter and mucky microwave. Thick dust/dirt on/around skirting boards, below bath and a little mould on handle in shower and around base of door. The vacuum cleaner was left full. The impression we had was that prior to our arrival ( originally we were told book in 1700 so place could be cleaned!) beds were changed, bungalow quickly vacuumed and perhaps sanitary ware given a wipe down. Considering we were instructed to strip beds and empty all bins before leaving ( never been required to do this before) we wondered what the cleaners did between 1000 & 1700.
We can only judge by our own standard and previous experiences. There were only two toilet rolls provided, one in each bathroom, one kitchen roll, salt and pepper pots empty and no clingfilm or foil provided.
Non of the above spoilt our stay but for what it cost, which was the most we have ever spent, we expected more.

The following is not a criticism but observations.
We asked permission to access the beach through the holiday park to which there was some resistance and only given reluctantly because they were quiet so access could be problematic in high season.
We would not recommend the White Eagle for food and locals we spoke with concurred that it was not living up to its reputation.
We ate at the Park restaurant which was another disappointment but they do have a large TV and show sports that was a bonus.
Finally, in high summer, blinds/curtains in lounge we consider a necessity to block out the sun.

We enjoyed our stay and were asked for a review so have given it, based on our standards.
Charlotte, we did not appreciate your final email giving instructions on what to do before we left, it was very clear in the information in your book and the numerous emails sent before we arrived.

We had a relaxing week at this comfortable house, the view is amazing and the property had everything we needed, communication with Michael before, during and after was spot on. Recommend the puffin island trip and the local pub/s eateries and beaches, a perfect getaway.

We had a lovely stay at Plas Diwedd. The cottage was clean, bright and very comfortable with everything you need for it to feel like a home from home. The views are fabulous and the weather was warm enough for us to make good use of the decking area outside the kitchen. With lovely walks and a beach just a short walk away we had one of the best holidays we've ever had in Anglesey. From booking right through to the end of our holiday communication with Michael and Coastal Holidays was excellent. Five stars doesn't do it justice.

A very clean, warm, spacious, well equipped bungalow in the most picturesque location with stunning sea views.
There are two lovely beaches within a few minutes walk and also The White Eagle pub and The Deck House Restaurant are close by.
We enjoyed a most relaxing week in this Special holiday home.

We had a wonderful stay in Plas Diwedd , which is a clean & comfortable "home from home", & very light & airy.
It has a wonderful lounge with additional sun room, with superb views to the sea , & the cows would stroll by a few times a day.
The kitchen was well equipped, & we enjoyed some good evening meals , a few drinks & card games around the large kitchen table.

The owner was very quick to reply to any questions we had prior to our arrival.

It's in a great location for walks with our dog, with 2 lovely beaches within 10-15 minutes walk.
Our favourite walk was walking to one beach & taking the coastal path to the other one, & enjoying the views on the way.
We also did parts of the coastal walk near Holyhead, & South stack lighthouse, which is well worth a visit.

A visit to the local White Eagle pub in Rhoscolyn is recommended , as is a visit to the Sea Shanty cafe in Trearddur.

The score of 4 for "comfort" was due to the beds, which were not as comfortable as we hoped for , but we still slept well.

All in all, it was a great holiday , & we fell in love with the area.

Cottage clean and tidy. Key lock easy. Owners went out of their way to assist if required. Also, provided a Christmas tree as Xmas booking. Lovely view.

Even though not too bothered by holiday camp next door as winter, I don't know if it would be the same in summer.

Regardless, holiday camp is not the run of the mill camp that usually looks like a prison block. Lodges and very select.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this cottage. Lovely quiet location, lovely view, and if into stargazing, fab dark skies so you can see the milky way.

Final note, very secure if taking dogs with you.

09/10 star wise.
