A delightful cottage with a King-size bedroom (with king size bed) in a quiet corner of the garden with an en-suite bathroom with bath/shower above, WC and handbasin. Burys has an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen/dining/lounge area.

Really enjoyable

We had a family reunion so booked five cottages. Had a great time . All cottages lovely, warm, clean and comfortable. All well stocked. Only criticism of Burys was fairly sure that the bed is queen or very small king!

Loved the surrounding countryside and restaurants. The pool is a star. Booked for an hour just us. Peaceful and warm

Burys cottage is part of a complex of converted barn buildings on a farm near Winsley. This particular cottage is intended for occupation by a couple plus a dog. It is quite small. The lounge/diner includes a fairly large flat screen tv. A smaller one might have been better because you do feel that it is a bit imposing. Overall the cottage suited us for a short break and the owners have an efficient customer care system without being intrusive. I think one of the two bedroom cottages would be preferabl.

The cottage needed a complete makeover. Utensils and dishes looked like they had come from a car boot sale. It was clean and warm but uncomfortable. The 2 seater sofa was not for sitting in for a long while like watching tv. We left 2 days early to come home to our comforts. Swimming pool was really dirty, looked liked it had not been maintained for a long time.

A great location and a nice clean cottage. The swimming pool was a good bonus. Everything we needed was inside and the breakfast we got from the local farm shop was amazing.

The cottage was great , The welcome tea was excellent
I have already reported to a son in law, that the toilet flush needs attention . At least 6 flushes are need to empty the toilet
The steps from the upper cottages to the lower ones are very difficult for the elderly . A handrail would help

The bin area is a disgrace
The sheep herding was a great success

WE did not use the Warner room until the last days as the weather was good. My family loved the pool although there was some dispute about usage
I hope they all left their cottages ina good state

Easy to find on a busy road. Comfortable bedroom. Kitchen/diner/living area OK.Good large TV. Needed space for groceries as it was self-catering. Ideal for links to local tourist attractions.

The cottage was neat and tidy. For us it was well-located and the surrounding area was very nice. We thought that as it was a farm there would be more space for our dog to run around but this was limited although information told us about a nearby area for him to do this. We very much appreciated being able to book in at short notice, as this was a spur of the moment visit. We felt that for the size of the cottage this was a little over-priced

Burys Cottage was ideal for us,easy parking and short walk to cottage.Husband uses a walking stick all good for him.
Well equipped for self catering.Cottage had its own heating system which was particularly welcome in this cool start to Summer !
Bathroom had large heated towel rail so no damp towels! Not keen on shower curtain.
"Condition" scored 4 as outside doors and window frames need some maintenance
We enjoyed our stay

We had 6 of the 7 cottages for a birthday celebration and it was perfect. The pool was so nice for all ages and the Walnut Room a bonus where we congregated to eat together on the Saturday. On the first evening we met at the local pub which was a short walk away, and ate a pre-ordered meal. We had great fun with the Farm Activities rounding up sheep and wellie wangling etc. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Our age range was 5 - 83 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it all, whilst still having the privacy of our own cottage if wanted.

We enjoyed staying at Burys very much, however on arrival I thought that the row of 'cottages' looked very shabby. Inside was alot smaller than it looked on the website however it had everything that was needed (except a comfortable chair) and we weren't there for most of the day. It was lovely though to sit outside in the evenings, very peaceful and quiet.

Excellent location for visiting surrounding areas and places of interest. Easy access to food shops, walks and pubs. If planning on cycling canal paths to Bath or Bradford on Avon we would recommend driving to canal access point car parking at Dundas Aqueduct to avoid cycling steep hill on return journey.

We booked out all the cottages at Church Farm to accommodate a family and friends celebration weekend. There were several couples with youngsters and the availability of the pool was a real hit with all the children and some of their parents too. A great facility whether the weather is inclement or not. The games room was also well used, and we held a table tennis tournament for the adults.
All the cottages were very well equipped with good quality linen and kitchenware including a full set of sharp knives – something we rarely find in a rental property but certainly gets 10/10 from us. There is also a Smart TV in every cottage.
The space in front of the cottages is surrounded by hedgerows and gates, which is ideal, as the children could not inadvertently wander into the car park. It also provided a great communal space for everyone to enjoy socialising together. The owners lent us a gas BBQ which we made good use of, and we thank them for that.
We had the option to use the function room but happily the weather was relatively kind to us, and we did not need to decamp into this at all. However, it is a bonus to have it available if required.
We would certainly recommend this venue to anyone.

Good location for visiting the area. Access to a pool was a bonus. Cottage a bit tired and can be noisy from other residents and users especially those sitting outside and from the persistent banging of the door to the pool/games room

We have stayed at Church Farm Cottages a number of times and really love it.
We like is especially that we can bring our dogs and on a weekend break can stay all day Sunday. This aspect is especially appealing.
The hosts are always on hand but let us hust get on with our break.
Thank you

Very happy with the stay at Church Farm. The cottage was lovely and very well put together, the activities and area were brilliant. My son enjoyed feeding the lamps and visiting Longleat. Having an indoor heated swimming pool was excellent, we loved it!
