14 Upper Milovaig is a contemporary holiday cottage with lovely views of Loch Pooltiel. It has a stunning open plan kitchen / dining / lounge with picture windows over the countryside! There are two bedrooms; the master has a double and ensuite shower room whilst the other has two single beds and use of the family shower room. There is parking for two vehicles next to the property.

Fantastic stay in this beautiful remote cottage on the west side of Skye. We found it to be incredibly warm, against a blustery storm, and very cosy!

Unfortunately, the fire wasn't working during our visit, but we were told by the letting company that they'd be sending someone over to fix it after our stay.

Would definitely recommend anyone to book this property for the amazing price it's at. Just be aware there's no television, if that's something you're needing!

Very modern and comfortable cottage in a quiet location overlooking the sea. The house has a lot of natural daylight and is very well equipped with quality furniture and crockery. From every room, you have the feeling of being in nature, you can watch the sheep pass in front of the house. It is the perfect cottage for a short break or holiday on Skye.

Upper Milovaig, which oddly is at a lower altitude than Lower Milovaig, is a quiet location with viws to the north down Loch Pooltiel. The only mainstream tourist draw is the Neist Point Lighthouse. Otherwise Glendale is a pleasing, friendly and quiet location with a good cafe and a cute general store. Would be a good place to watch for an aurora.
Cottage is modern and well-appointed. Unusually warm weather caused some problems as house not designed for such conditions, but that heat wave passed while we were there.

Beautiful location and house.
It is a bit far to visit places in Skye, but wonderfully quiet.
A bit expensive.

Hi,
this is the place to be for us (2x over 40 years, 14 years and 18 years).
The house is beautiful and looks like on the pictures and additional it is very clean.
There is no TV, but in this case it was a +! ;o)
We like to sit on the couch, talking or reading a book and enjoyed the great view from there. There you will see (throw the big window") green gras, some sheeps, the valley, the little harbour and the ocean and often the outer Hebrids (22 miles away)!
Still if you are outside it is so quite, all you hear are sometimes a sheep or gull and the wind.
There was only one thing I missed and that were chairs for the terrace, to enjoy the surrounding from there (so we were lying / sitting direct on the terrace).

A beautiful spot in the very north west of Skye

We really enjoyed our stay at 14 Upper Milovaig.. The weather was challenging, but the property was very snug and comfy and a great place to watch the weather. It was also great for the walks we managed to do, as well as Neist Point as well as being well placed for good restaurants (The Dunvegan and Three Chinmeys were both excellent). The property was very clean and had everything you might need. The main living room was fantastic, very comfortable, with great views!!! Bathrooms were also excellent. It was also easy to dry wet walking gear. Just one thing, the double bed is small. It might have been more comfy to have a larger bed in the main bedroom. Really enjoyed our stay!!!

Comfortable and stylish house, with a lovely view across the fields to the harbour with distant islands on the horizon.

We found lots of walks both straight from the house and a short drive away so didn't feel the need to venture far from home in our week. First-time visitors to the further reaches of Skye or the far North-West of Scotland should probably remember that travel along single-track roads can be fairly slow (and then factor in camper vans to make it slower), and the range of local food stores is limited. But that is all part of the pleasure of getting away to these gorgeous parts of the country.

Very convenient for the renowned Three Chimneys restaurant - if you want to go you will need to book months ahead (we didn't!), but we really enjoyed our even closer meal at the Chidakasha tea room - great veggie meal with an Indian vibe. We hope to be back before too long!
