Coig Deug, Roag is a light and bright holiday cottage overlooking Loch Vatten and with views of the Cuillins mountains in the distance. It has an open lounge, diner / kitchen with log burner and fantastic views! There is a double bedroom with ensuite and a twin bedroom. There is private parking for up to two vehicles.

Nice location . Loads of space inside with everything you needed .
Could do with outside seating , one old flaky bench at the front door , grass overgrown and an old fridge freezer outside not nice to look at. Would have been very piecfull if it weren’t for the 2 dogs constantly barking next door.

Disappointing to find that the cottage wasn't clean on arrival. There were crumbs on the table, the second bed looked like it had been slept in, the en suite bathroom window sill was a midge graveyard. Under the main bed appeared not to have been swept and we found a Waterstones receipt under the bed from 2021. The toilet obviously hadn't been flushed when the last person left - the bowl had toilet paper in it and hadn't been flushed after being used last. Can provide photo if necessary. The housekeeper arrived with a bag of gifts, which was kind, but we had asked them to carry out a proper clean, which wasn't done. The house is in a lovely location but wasn't value for money based on the condition we found it in. A partial refund would be appreciated. Also, we reported next door's constantly barking dogs which were a big nuisance.

We enjoyed the remote location, the view, the peace, the well equipped kitchen, the loungeroom with soaring ceiling and the spacious bathrooms of Coig Deug. The absence of WiFi was a bit annoying but we were able to hotspot from our phones. The mattress in the main bedroom is rather uncomfortable and should be replaced. Nevertheless, we would stay again.

We loved our stay and found the place so comfortable.

So lovely waking up each morning to the sheep grazing outside. The home was lovely and so comfortable. The only disappointment was that the WiFi didn't work and think that it should be clearer that its not reliable. I have to admit that we didn't get in touch with the owner about this, so perhaps it could have been fixed. For some clients, reliable WiFi would be essential.

Lovely cottage in a really good location. Fabulous views from the living room which is light and airy with lovely big windows looking east. If there is a good sunrise it's fantastic. Well equipped cottage although a few more glasses and cups would probably help a larger group. A chest of drawers in the main bedroom would be more useful than the old sofa and updating the dark furniture in the second bedroom would give it a brighter feel. However, these are minor points and I'd go back to this cottage without hesitation. It's comfortable, spacious, bright, easy to reach and to access other parts of the island. Lovely walks available from the front door. Highly recommend.

We very much enjoyed our 4-night stay. The view over the loch is outstanding. Its convenient for Dunvegan castle and Dunvegan hotel's restaurant if you want to eat out.

The main problem was the bed, which is too small, with bars at the foot. King size, divan style should be mandatory in any rental property.

This house was beautiful and very clean. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful view out to the loch, where one evening we watched a pair of white-tailed eagles hunting for an hour. We had everything we needed, including an excellent selection of books and DVDs. We had a lovely and peaceful holiday and enjoyed the friendly welcome from the people of Skye, even during Covid.
