One Mill Lands, Cuil, Uig is a modern spacious holiday home overlooking Uig Bay, the perfect place to enjoy fantastic sunsets from the patio while watching the world go by! Sleeping up to 10 people in 4 bedrooms with open planing living, it is a wonderful holiday home!

The four bedrooms sleep 8 people in total. To make One Mill Lands sleep 10 people, there are two single guest beds that can be requested at the time of booking.

One Mill Lands is happy to welcome up to two well behaved dogs. There is a pet fee applicable. This can be requested at the time of booking.

The view from the house was amazing of the harbor. The 4 rooms each had an on-suite, with showers and very well done. Kitchen, dining, and family area worked great with everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We had a great time!

We stayed for one week with our children and friends with their children. The house was beautiful, with a great view, and great setup for big groups (4 rooms, 5 bathrooms) with a big kitchen (including two dishwashers which were really useful)!
The view on the sea was great, as well as the fire place. The jacuzzi was a real plus to relax after a hike. The location was very convenient to explore the isle of Skye. Communication was very friendly, professional and efficient.

Lovely, spacious home with 4 ensuite bedrooms. One mile from Uig ferry terminal and only 20 minutes to Portree, plus a 5 minute walk to a well stocked Rankines supermarket.
We were there for seven nights and weather permitting, managed to achieve everything we wanted to visit and see. Dinosaur footprints, the museum too, Dunvegan castle, Raasay, waterfalls, mountains, lochs and beaches. Skye is very rich with history and things to see, but take into account that it is very large distance wise as well.
A few things that didn’t work at the house. Wi-Fi didn’t work on arrival on Saturday, so contacted the weekend helpline number, but no answer. Was fixed on Monday, then went down again. Apparently the password indicated on the welcome pack was incorrect.
Hot tub water smelled a little bit and was offputting.
We did bring our bikes and had to store them in the utility room (my fault for not checking booking details).
Apart from that, a lovely house, well located, warm, spacious and comfortable.

Clean, well appointed, spacious house in a fabulous location. Outdoor space ideal, hot tub well used, enclosed garden for dogs and plenty of seating to take in the view. Well stocked shop, bar and restaurant all within walking distance. Definitely not a criticism but firmer pillows and additional towels for the hot tub would have been appreciated. Thanks for a lovely stay for family celebration!

Fantastic place. The reaction was the same from all 6 of us: WOW. Very well laid out and equipped, very comfortable, ideal location, wonderful place and the views are stunning. It is convenient to visit the entire island and has a grocery store within a 2 minute walk.



One Mill Lands is comfortable and quiet, very well equipped and clean.

We would suggest the addition of a milk jug and a tray for the kitchen, otherwise One Mill Lands is very well equipped, in a quiet but convenient position.

Our stay at One Mill Lands on the stunning Isle of Skye was wonderful. Communication from the point of booking to arrival was streamlined and efficient. The house was as described - ‘A Dream Home’. It was extremely comfortable and well equipped and suited all of our needs as a large family, including a variety of ages.
We would have no hesitancy in recommending this home to future visitors and have already recommended to friends and family members.
A real gem on a beautiful island.

Our family of 10 - 6 adults and 4 children- had a fun week at One Mill Lands. Comfortable camp beds were provided for 2 pre-teens and set up in the spacious loft while everyone else had private rooms with ensuite showers and toilets and one with main floor walk out. The kids loved the hot tub and the board games.The kitchen was amazingly well equipped - although the fridge is showing wear and tear and more tea towels are needed. The stove top worked great once we googled how to work it. Its manual, in French only, was beyond our limited comprehension. Heated floors on the main level kept us cosy and laundry facilites were much used and appreciated. All ten of us ate together at the dining table. We kept our phones charged on the fitted night table lamps. This property is well designed, beautifully decorated, has great amenities and is situated within a short walk to a local grocery store, hotel restaurants (always booked), and slightly further, Uig pier with cafes and a distillery. The bus to Portree stops here.
I would highly recommend this property.

Booking and pre-arrival experience was first class.

The property itself was generally clean and in decent condition.

My only issue was the condition of the grounds, driveway and outdoor facilities.

The grassed areas were in poor condition and no effort to keep a nice outdoor space had been made.

The stoned driveway was absolutely full of weeds and did not reflect well on the property itself.

There is no real area to enjoy the outside and the condition of the table and chairs is certainly sub-standard.

Our major issue is the hot tub. Without exception everyone who entered the hot tub broke out into a rash.

Clearly serious attention needs to be given to the condition of the water.

The house itself and the local area are good, but the condition of the outdoor space and the hot tub let down the overall experience.

The beds are really comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub which was a lovely place to relax after long walks. The TVs are easy to use to stream films. The upstairs bedrooms feel rather empty but that is the design of the house.

Fantastic property, location and island!!! Needs a little bit of TLC around the edges (cracks on walls, unstuck floor tiles) but ideal for any big family get together type holiday. Close to village shop and restaurant/bar, and loads of dogs walks nearby.

Our party of 5 stayed at One Mill Lands over the New Year period. We found the property to be authentic as advertised in both the photos and description. The house was very clean and tidy. Towels and bedding, again excellent.
The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of cutlery, utensils, cooking paraphernalia, plates, glasses etc. Added bonus was two dishwashers which was very novel and welcome. The house was lovely and warm. Log burner was very efficient and the tumble dryer in the utility room came in very handy as we had bad weather, so great for drying wet walking trousers, hats and gloves.
The only down side was that we were not able to connect to the WiFi and the couch in the lounge was slightly uncomfortable.
However, that said, our stay was very enjoyable and we would recommend One Mill Lands to any group requiring a spacious, upmarket, warm and well furnished property.

We had a fabulous time at One Mill Lands. The house is gorgeous and in a beautiful location. The views from all windows at the front of the house are amazing. It’s closer to the sea than it appears in the photos which was wonderful. There’s a lovely woodland walk nearby, leading to the shore. The fairy pools are very close and worth a visit. We also recommend driving north through Kilmuir; the scenery across to North and South Uist and Lewis is breathtaking. We also walked to the pier across the bay and spent an afternoon shopping, drinking coffee and fishing. Perfect! The local shop is a few minutes walk away and is very well stocked. Uig hotel is just up the hill and we had a lovely meal there. The hot tub was a lovely thing to do in the evening. Our only niggle was that perhaps the pillows need replacing, everything else was just great. Booking was very straight forward and the staff were very helpful. Many thanks.

One Mill Lands is a very well equipped house in a lovely situation overlooking Uig bay. We found it very quiet and peaceful here with everything on hand that we would need to enjoy a family holiday. My elderly mother was comfortable in an ensuite room on the ground floor and housekeeping was able to supply an extra bed to accommodate our needs. My teenage sons enjoyed hillwalking, canoeing and fishing on a chartered boat. Day-tripping to see the sights of Skye was enhanced by the sunshine. The property now has a hot tub which is fantastic to use at the end of the day. Lovely house which I would highly recommend.

Some suggestions:
- Lack of lawn area on which children could play.
- Only chipped area, which is not really child friendly.
- Instructions for hob difficult to follow.
- Difficult to get oven to correct temperature.

Wonderful stay at One Mill Lands in May 2021. The house is beautiful with plenty of space and we loved the location (only 20 minutes to Portree but with good local amenities too and beautiful walks nearby, Idrigill Point was our favourite). The evening views across Uig bay are stunning!

We had a nice stay at one mill lands , the house is lovely with beautiful views over uig , a little disappointed with the level of cleaning due to COVID 19 I expected the house to be very deep cleaned but it wasn’t the best standard , the house is well equipped and bathrooms & bedrooms were very nice , could have done with a hot tub as this is top price rental.

We stayed here in March 2020 with our family, for our wedding celebrations. We have absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay. IH Cottages were super helpful and lovely when communicating with us and all though our booking process. The house is stunning, very spacious with beautiful views. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It is modern whilst cosy at the same time. We would 100% recommend staying here and will most definitely be back!

The house was beautiful and had everything a family needs- from toys and box games to all kitchen and laundry utensils.
The location was perfect- just minutes from Fairy Glen,20 minutes from Portree and a great point for trips all across the island. Will definitely come back and will definitely recommend for others!

We were impressed with the accommodation. It was beautiful, modern and clean. There was careful attention to detail and comfort.
The setting is lovely-nice hikes from the front door to the water or woods. Sitting on the patio, sipping wine and looking at the view was great.
One problem occurred with the light switch in the master bedroom but that didn't detract from our very positive experience.

We loved the house and its location . It is really spacious , huge bedrooms and all ensuite so it is actually a house that caters for large groups .

Would be great to have a fence round the garden so we could let the dogs out .
Some of us fussier ones would prefer slightly less hard beds for our older bones .....
Thanks for letting us stay . We hope to rebook!

This newly built cottage far exceeded all expectations on arrival, including the complimentary bottle of wine and local shortbread biscuits which were a lovely touch. Fitting a group of 8 perfectly this cottage is outstanding; light, spacious and modern. The showers were spotlessly clean and afforded local toiletries. Both the light and climate settings were superb as were the two dishwashers which made cooking for a large group a doddle. Although only used the once, the log fire made for a cosy final evening of our stay before a long drive in the morning.
Finally to be a tad cheeky, the inclusion of a outside hot tub/jacuzzi would probably put this in the very top bracket of accommodation on the island!

We spent an unforgettable week in the spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished One Mill Lands house and could find absolutely no faults. In fact it was way beyond our expectations with touches of luxury one seldom sees in rented accommodation. Excellent communication from the rental agency as well as a bottle of wine and heart-shaped Scottish shortbread on arrival set the tone for a delightful stay. The location could not have been better as our son got married in the Quiraing area which is a short drive away as are many other Skye landmarks such as the Fairy Glen and the stunning Rha waterfall (both within walking distance actually!). Having the charming little local shop/post office selling everything you might need including delicious pies, beer and wine a short and very pretty walk away was an added bonus we did not expect. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience from beginning to end.

Fabulous new property within walking distance of Uig. Everything is to an extremely high standard .
