Skye Nàdair is located in Camuscross in Sleat on the Isle of Skye.
Good views but not for the very young or old.

Not easy to find after leaving the main road; directions could be improved.
Steep path and steps down to cottage, not suitable for infants or the infirm.
One storage heater switch not working, Velux blind in bedroom faulty. Leak under lavatory cistern. A few items could usefully be added to the kitchen. Dead insects inside one duvet cover.
But: clean inside, warm, good views. I imagine tenants do not report faults so they are not rectified.

Owners Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback, which is very helpful in our first season of offering the cottage on the wonderful Isle of Skye, and will help us ensure that we can make it even better for the future.
We are so sorry that you did not have the super positive experience that our other guests had, as evidenced by their feedback. Our excellent housekeeper, who tried to visit the property several times during your visit to help address your concerns, has not found any evidence of bugs, or insects in the cottage, either on the bedding, or furniture and we are confident that this was an isolated incident. We will, of course, be extra vigilant in the future.
The path down to the cottage is certainly a consideration and one that is clearly noted on all of our listings. We have, however, had several young families who have enjoyed a stay at the cottage as have our own parents, who are in their 70s and not particularly stable on their feet. They felt that the effort needed was more than worth it to experience the fabulous views from this very accessible part of island.
Again. Thank you for your feedback and we really hope you find somewhere that better suits your particular needs on your next trip.
Kind regards
Skye Nàdair' Owners
Dawn and Craig Cameron

A lovely cottage with absolutely stunning views. Very well equipped with plenty of new utensils, dishes, glasses etc.
Hotel/pub within walking distance is an extra bonus.
Would happily stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in this very cosy, well-equipped cottage. It was lovely to see the water from the windows every morning, and great to be nestled in this quiet corner of Skye during the busy month of August.

The cottage was spacious, attractively furnished and comfortable. It is only c15 minutes from the ferry at Armadale and a similar distance to the town of Broadford, which has lovely, independent shops, as well as a good-sized Co-op. There are several good restaurants within easy distance, as well as the local shop and cafe.
The housekeeper, Dawn, was super helpful.
The annexe would benefit from a little fridge. The rather steep walk down to the cottage and annexe was rather a surprise, but was only a problem with large suitcases - fortunately we had a strong man with us, but even he had to do the climb up to pack the car in stages with each case - however the views and the location were worth it.
Magical property and location

Easy to find and wonderful view. The property is really tastefully decorated - someone knows how put home furnishings together.so so comfortable - if there is a negative it is that the duvet covers on the main double bed just fit the bed exactly - it needs to be larger - we found ourselves fighting for coverage but a minor point.
