Tigh Anndra, Flodigarry is located on the moor towards the top of the Trotternish peninsula, by the main road. It has a cosy lounge / kitchen / diner with bathroom and a double bedroom. Perfect for couples looking to explore the Trotternish!

Tigh Anndra is a beautifully equipped cottage for a couple. We have been twice and just love the wilderness of the cottage, just sweeping views of the mountains. It is a special place for us, watching the swallows fly and the sheep come and go across from the moor. There is a handy bus service that can get you to Portree and Uig.
We liked the lack of wifi. It gave us time to truly disconnect.

A very cozy cottage with fantastic views of the moor and mountains. Well furnished with stocks of coffee, tea and spices. The small road does not have much traffic. You can sit outside but beware of the midges. A highly recommended hike is to Rubha Hunish.

Tigh Anndra is a lovely, clean, welcoming and cosy cottage.

Angus the owner had left a lovely handwritten welcome note with some information and contact details if there were any issues which I thought was a nice touch.

There was plenty of information (brochures, magazines, guides, maps) of what to explore in Skye and I loved the hand drawn maps of local area (and the stick men made me smile)

Everything in the cottage was very clean and of good quality and I found the bed very comfy.

My favourite thing inside the cottage was the woodburner, and all the wood that Angus provided was very kind.

I couldn't fault anything about the cottage, it was exactly what I was looking for as a retreat and I found it amazing that there were no other properties in sight. The views from the cottage were stunning in my opinion and even at times when the weather was stormy, the views can be enjoyed sitting in the glass porch.

I would highly recommend Tigh Anndra.

Enkele aandachtspunten: De koelkast erg aan de kleine kant. Er zijn te weinig pannen. Jammer dat er geen Wifi is, want het bereik van de telefoon op die plaats is erg beperkt.

The holiday home has everything you need to get completely offline in the north of Skye. There’s even wildlife just outside your doorstep.
The cottage is provided with all the supplies you need to make a meal and the wood to heat up the stove was provided as well.
We met the owner, very nice guy!

Obwohl das kleine Haus direkt an der Hauptstraße liegt ist es sehr ruhig, da morgens und abends kaum Autoverkehr ist. Toll fanden wir, dass alle nötigen Basics wie Salz, Pfeffer, Essig, Öl, Kaffee, Zucker, Tee, Spülmittel und -lappen, Waschpulver, Küchenrolle, Seife etc. vorhanden waren. Die Heizungen im Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer funktionierten nicht, aber der kleine Kamin ist leicht zu bedienen und macht mollig warm. Jede Menge Holz liegt bereit! Das Häuschen war blitzsauber und behaglich eingerichtet, man hat sich sofort wohl gefühlt. Ein kleines Stück weiter gibt es einen Hügel mit einer Ruine, von dort hat man einen traumhaften Blick und meistens ist man alleine! Um das Haus herum gibt es Schafe, was das ganze noch idyllischer macht. Die Highlights Quiraing und Old Man of Storr sind in unmittelbarer Nähe! Im Haus gibt es Karten und Wanderbeschreibungen.
Schön wäre ein größerer Kochtopf zum Kochen von Nudeln und ein entsprechendes Sieb zum Abschütten oder Salatwaschen gewesen. Vielleicht als Tipp für Angus :-) Denn Restaurants für´s Abendessen gibt es keine in der Nähe. 2 kleine Lebensmittelläden gibt es in Staffin.
Ansonsten war alles perfekt, nicht zögern zu buchen, 100% Weiterempfehlung!

We enjoyed our week at Tigh Anndra. The only quibble we had was that the chesterfield in front of the TV was not comfortable. The location is fantastic with a view of the Quiraing and the company of the sheep and lambs. The supply of wood for the stove is something that we appreciated very much.

I spent 4 days staying here and it was the perfect base for exploring the island. Angus was a great host and it was lovely to meet him and find a bit more about the island and its history. I couldn't fault the accommodation and if staying on the island again will definitely stay at Tigh Anndra again. Comfy bed, cosy log fire and all the facilities and additional extras I could need. Thanks again Angus!

This is a beautiful cottage in an amazing location. The pictures really don't do justice to this amazing location, it's in an incredible spot.

The cottage itself is well equipped for a comfortable stay and the owner, Angus, was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area.

We would highly recommend this cottage.

We spent an amazing week at Tigh Anndra. The cottage was beautifully kept, spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed, including plentiful wood for the wood burning stove!
The cottage is in a great location with amazing views of the mountains. It is in an ideal spot to do the numerous beautiful walks on the Trotternish peninsula.The weather was fantastic, so we spent many evenings sitting outside watching the mountains change colour in the sunset.
Angus the owner was very friendly and helpful. I am sure we will return!

Tigh Anndra is a cosy, well equipped cottage in a stunning location in the North of the Isle of Skye. It contained everything we needed for our stay including some bits and pieces that we had forgotten such as foil and olive oil. We mostly didn't need any heating but, when we did, the towel rails in the bathroom provided enough warmth for the whole cottage. In saying that, the owner Angus had provided enough chopped wood for the wood burning stove to see us through the week if it had been cold. If there had been any problems, Angus only lives a short distance away and made a point of calling in after a couple of days to check everything was OK. The cottage is right on the main (only!) road round the Trotternish peninsula and during the day could be quite busy, relatively speaking, although the cottage is insulated enough so as not to be bothered by traffic noise. Early mornings and evenings the road is quiet enough to enjoy a stroll to take in some of the lovely views. We both said we would be very happy to go back there.

The house is really isolated onkz surrounded by the beautiful quiraing and some sheep. It has got a nice stove which gives You the warmth needed after a long day outside. The kitchen offers all equipment necessary and it has even got a wash Maschine. The bath is always warm and the house has its own water supply by an own spring with wonderful water. The best place to start your own journeys through the Isle of Skye.
