We had a lovely stay at the Gamekeeper’s Cottage this Christmas with family. We all loved the cottage which was spotless, comfortable and a joy to stay at. Our 2 dogs had plenty of room to run in the garden, especially whilst we spent time in the large hot tub! The kitchen was excellently equipped, plenty of utensils etc and more than enough glasses, cups plates etc. The staff were always on hand for any recommendations and help, they do such a good job at keeping the areas tidy for everyone. Thank you to everyone at Rivercatcher! We had a lovely 3 night stay, the lodge was so well equipped and thought out. Lovely secure garden and great view. We would love to return and try one of the other cottages.
First of all should point out the location is really in the middle of nowhere. Everywhere is a drive and I doubt that there is much in the way of taxis or Ubers. That said they have an efficient food delivery service operating which means you may never really need to use a car if you didn't want to. To the house : fantastic - has absolutely EVERYTHING you could need. Incredibly warm and cosy, very well-equipped. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. So stylish. We were very much looking forward to returning to Flyfishers and were not disappointed! Its a gorgeous cottage in a beautiful location. The team at Rivercatcher are great and are always very helpful. A lot of care and thought has gone into the place and this all makes for a fab holiday.
Lovely cottage, lovely location. Ideal for bringing your dogs. Local produce Welcome basket is excellent. Unlimited logs for the wood burner, and the Hot Tub is great after a day out. Everything is provided - 5☆
Beautiful property. Photos don’t do it justice. Check in instructions were very clear. Perfect location for exploring Snowdonia and more. The cottage was clean and well maintained. Loved soaking in the hot tub and then sitting by the fire at the end of each day. Beds very comfortable too. We really appreciated the list of recommendations and the basket of goodies. Would love to return one day.
It was everything it said it would be and more! The location is perfect, peace and quiet with views over the rolling hills which is just wonderful to soak up in the hot tub. There is everything you need in the kitchen as if you were at home. The bed was super comfortable and a powerful shower. We loved the rest we got there and will be back. Also a great location to do exploring, being so close to Bala we decided to have a day at the lake and hire a canoe and also go on the small steam train. The cwtch lodge was very comfortable and well appointed with quality bathroom fitting's and kitchen equipment. The hot tub is a nice touch with a glass of wine watching the local wildlife and scenery. It is ideally situated for many of north wales tourist attractions a bonus is being able to fish the river Dee adjacent to the lodges.
