The Turnip House is a perfect holiday cottage for two, with all ground floor facilities. The large farmhouse kitchen/ diner was recently completely refitted, offering built in top quality appliances. The reassuringly comfortable living room with the benefit of a log burning stove makes a cosy, private retreat throughout the seasons. Its roomy en-suite bedroom can be configured as twins or super-king. Everyone agrees the new en-suite layout, with large walk-in shower is an complete success.

Another lovely stay in the Turnip House. Such a lovely warm and welcoming place to stay, we added another night on. Turnip House was spotless on arrival and it is in a good location.

I have returned to field house farm several times over the past 17 years and it never fails to deliver high quality accommodation and friendly welcome.

John , Angela and James are the perfect hosts. And always available if you need them.

This is the perfect location for exploring around the North Yorkshire Coast.

I would recommend it to anyone as I have done already

What a lovely cottage to spend the weekend. We arrived and were greeted by the owner with info we needed for our stay. The cottage had everything we needed, was cosy and perfect for me my partner and our dog. We enjoyed walking round the farm and only 10 mins to the nearby town. Id definitely stay again and planning our next visit. Also great value for money!!

Our first return to Turnip House in 5 years due to covid and then my husband's heath. It was lovely to return to the cottage after so much time away. The garden room is a very welcome addition to the cottage and makes it more special. The condition and cleanliness was as ever impeccable. It is a lovely location with easy access to Bridlington, Bempton, Filey, Scarborough etc, you are never far away from anywhere. John, Angela and James are good hosts and are always happy to make your visit a special one.

It was lovely to return to the Turnip House for our annual visit. The cottage is ideally located for visiting the coast, the wolds etc.
It provides every comfort and the furniture, fittings and equipment are of the highest standard.
We always receive a very werm welcome from John, Angela, James and dad Fiona.

My wife and I were very grateful for the exceptional service provided by Heritage Escapes during our stay at Turnip House. The house was of high standard, and the location was quiet and peaceful. The team was helpful and courteous, which we greatly appreciated.

Another lovely stay. Weather was brilliant this year. Done more than we normally do.
All members of staff very helpful and polite.
Been going to field house for a number of years still enjoy coming to field house will be back next year to this cottage.
Will be returning in October to another one of the cottages with our grandchildren as they liked it last year.

The cottage was the best we have been in, so spacious, cosy and beautifully renovated.
Ideal position for visiting the local seaside towns and cliff path walks
Unfortunately the weather let us down and we only had one sunny day to relax on Cayton Bay.

This was our 3rd visit to the Turnip House.as always we were greeted by one of the team on arrival and had a nice chat.Turnip House is a lovely retreat for two people with everything you require within.fantastic base for exploring far and wide which we did visiting Ryedale Folk museum, Nunnington Hall ,Scarborough Collection and many more.... on our 4 night break. Also had some fantastic food at different locations .we will be back.

Excellent accommodation in the right place for our holiday needs. The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge very comfortable, the bedroom and bed very good. Our only 'down' comment would be the bathroom, which we found quite tight to move around in.
Our Hosts were very helpful and sorted out a small problem that we had promptly.

All, and more, that could have been expected. Cosy and warm with huge amounts of space for two. Any problem - in our case dead batteries - fixed immediately. Hosts very welcoming. Area was great. Flamborough on the doorstep and good locations - eg Robin Hood’s Bay - easily accessible. Eating out was easy and fulfilling. Overall an excellent week which simply flew by.

Another wonderful, relaxing stay at FHF. The Turnip house is a lovely, bright cottage. Our favourite spot is the sun lounge, watching the sun go down and catching a glimpse of the barn owl flying across the yard.

We have had a wonderful week in Turnip House. The welcome tray was a lovely addition. The cottage was very clean, warm and welcoming. The garden room was lovely in the afternoon to sit and have a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. The bathroom was brilliant with that excellent shower. The lounge was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed.
The grounds are beautiful, we had the dog with us and there were lots of lovely walks around the farm.
It was very peaceful, even though it is a working farm and our hosts, John and Angela were very friendly and helpful.
We had a few days out to Whitby, Robin Hoods bay, Beverley and also explored Sewerby Hall and gardens.
Thank you for a truly relaxing week. We will be recommending you to friends and family.

Enjoyable stay, apart from the weather rain most days don’t stop us from going out. Staff always friendly and welcoming, always willing to help if there is a problem. Nice welcome when when we arrived. When we arrived we found out it was John and Angela’s golden wedding anniversary. We love staying there and have booked for October to take grand children to a different cottage, and also will be back next year.

Comfortable, clean and homely. The accommodations was equipped with high quality goods and we had everything we needed. Watching swifts and spotting the odd hare from the sun lounge was an added bonus. We regularly take breaks in self catering accommodation and Turnip House was much larger than the usual two person units. The owners lived on the farm and it was reassuring to know they were nearby. It was also a pleasure to meet them, they made us feel very welcome and clearly cared about the quality of the accommodation and the service that they offered to their guests.

There’s nothing negative to say about this cottage.
The only thing that I could say which isn’t negative really, hopefully helpful. The photos of Turnip Cottage should be updated because it’s smarter and more modern than it shows on website.

Well when something is good you will want to keep going back, won’t you? Angela, John, James and all of the team at Heritage Escapes are on a mission to make sure all their holiday homes leave visitors feeling like they’ve been staying with family, because everything for your comfort is provided.
We’ve stayed six times now in 4 different cottages and each has been an excellent Home from Home. The Turnip House was my favourite to date. There’s a lovely sun room where you can watch some of the farm life unfold daily.
Location is perfect for Coast or Yorkshire’s places of interest and there’s something new to do/see every day.
There’s always a warm welcome waiting for you at Heritage-Escapes. We would highly recommend them

We have been staying at Fieldhouse Farm for many years and always look forward to the warm welcome we receive each time we visit.
Turnip House has always been a favourite and the addition of the sun room has made a huge difference.

Another great stay in Turnip House, part of Heritage Escapes. Turnip House is a great cottage for two people, well laid out, very clean and in a quiet peaceful spot close to the coast.

We love to visit Bempton Cliffs to see the sea birds and the property is ideally situated for this. There are some great coastal walks nearby and is ideally placed to visit other places in Yorkshire. This year we went on the Yorkshire Railway from Pickering to Whitby which was a great day out.

Angela, John and the team at Heritage Escapes ensure the properties are well presented and very well equipped, they are also on hand should you have any queries. We have stayed quite a few times now, in different properties both here and in York and we would definitely recommend, and we will most certainly return.

This is the 6 different cottage we have stayed at with High Barn/Field House Farm and we were not disappointed. Lovely quiet location but within easy reach of all amenities. We had a very god break here .It's been since time since we last took a holiday on the East Coast and it was worth the wait. The cottage is very comfortable and the surrounding environment is marvellous Lots of wild life to see: deer, foxes, and rabbits.
We'll be back!

A lovely luxurious very spacious cottage for two people with the wonderful addition of the sun room giving a view of the fields and wide ever-changing skies. The awards continually received by the team at Field House Farm are well deserved. The cottages are the very best of self catering accommodation with a strong commitment to environmental standards and hygiene.

Lovely spacious accommodation for 2. The building has been converted to a high standard with all the modern conveniences you would want.
Plenty to do in the local area and lots of information provided in the house if you are short on ideas.

All the times we have used the turnip house it’s been clean and tidy home from home.
Friendly staff always there when needed. John, Angela, James will go out of there way to help you.

we had four lovely days in the Turnip house the sun shone every day this was the first cottage we stayed in at the farm and now with the addition of the new sun room it makes it even more special .the space of accommodation for two people is second to none. we look forward to returning in February this time staying in Hinds cottage.

This was our third time staying at Field House Farm. The accommodation was excellent as always and ideally situated for visiting our relatives, RSPB Bempton Cliffs and exploring this part of Yorkshire. Coupled with this is the warm welcome from the owners and their attention to our wellbeing and comfort.

Turnip House sits lightly at right angles to it's adjoining cottage beside the en-suite bathroom so we found no noise from next door. We were woken daily by the cockerel and the chickens which is totally expected on a farm. We did have a bit of noise from other guests with a small child visiting the chickens but that was unavoidable. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty cupboard and fridge space for the food and drink we brought with us. We used the hob, top grill, bottom fan oven and dishwasher using the binder of appliance instructions. We didn't feel the need to eat out. We hardly used the very comfortable cosy lounge as the sun room is perfect to watch the sun go down. The huge 2 singles as a super king bed had a soft puffy duvet and bedding. The walk in shower was perfect for both of us in our 50s with limited mobility. I try to avoid showers over baths these days. Field House Farm is in a perfect location on the outskirts of Bridlington with three tourist attractions of Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Flamborough lighthouse and RSPB Bempton Cliffs within a few miles. The cottage was a bit further south and east than we normally go but was well worth the long journey and we would recommend it to other couples.

Lovely cottage to stay, felt safe at all times, would highly recommend, lots of procedures thought threw to help with Covid regulations, also hand gel and wipes provided.
Cottage was very clean and there was a welcome pack provided and milk and water in the fridge, and lovely flowers.
John and Angela, James on hand when ever they are needed, a big thank you, to all the other staff that are there as well helping making are stay complete.

We enjoyed our stay at the Turnip House very much. There was plenty to do in the area but there did seem to be a dearth of places to eat out at if you didn’t want to self cater.
We would recommend Martin Manor Farm shop for food and Sewerby Gardens is an easy walk for a stroll. Bempton cliffs for an abundance of birds nesting are well worth a trip nearby. Bridlington is a sadly neglected town. The heritage railway to Pickering is a great day out too but a reasonably long round trip from here.

We thought the standard of care and comfort in the property was excellent and good value. Thank you Angela, John and James.

Our third stay at Field House Farm. The first time in The Turnip House. Just perfect for us, plenty of room for two adults and one small dog. The sun room is a brilliant addition to the cottage where you can sit with a cuppa or glass (or two) whatever the weather. Susie (the dog) loved being in there watching the birds, cows and children playing on the swings. Sewerby is a lovely quieter part of Bridlington and the farm is in a perfect location. We loved it! It had everything we needed. Always made very welcome by Angela, John, James and 'The Team' who all work very hard to maintain the cottages - and the upkeep of the farm.

Our first trip staying in The Turnip House but not our first with Heritage Escapes. A lovely cottage for 2 with bigger proportions than sometimes seen in cottages for couples. The sunroom is a great addition and we enjoyed morning coffee in their as well as an evening tipple after spending the day out. The farn is so close to many lovely places to visit and you can easily pop back during a rain shower to go out again later.

We so enjoyed staying in the Turnip House. It was cosy, warm accessible and very attractive, without too much fussiness... it allows the building speak for itself. Breakfast outside when it's warm enough, meet the sun sets from little conservatory in the evening. Great cows. Interesting chickens. Nice pond. Will be back.

We can’t believe we found this little gem. The new conservatory is a fantastic addition, we spent every evening in there with our wine, playing cards, in April it’s too cold to sit outside but this was fantastic.

Field House Farms is our home from home. We have been coming to FHF every year for about 10 years, and each time we come, it does not disappoint! We have stayed in various cottages within the farm and we have found that all of them have been decorated and maintained to a high standard. They are really comfortable and cosy and have all the facilities you need for a weeks stay. Our favourite feature is the wood burner!
The Foster family are welcoming and accommodating. I find that they have the right balance of being available if you need assistance and giving guests space and privacy during the stay.
These are just some of the reasons why Field House Cottages is always are first choice!

Due to the ongoing pandemic we found the turnip house to the highest standard of cleanliness, ( hand sanitizer and wipes were proviided etc) felt totally safe at all times.if we needed anything John, Angela ,James, Fiona, were on hand at all times social distancing. There was plenty of information in the cottage telling us what to do when we arrived and how things worked when we left. Totally enjoyed are stay, would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our three night stay in Turnip house cottage, and the level of facilities, cleanliness, and overall quality was impressive. The day room with views was a nice touch.

The difficulty we had was trying to find really good quality restaurants in the area, for evening meals.
Of the two suggested, one was OK (Ship Inn), one was average.
I don't know whether there are any others ?

Overall we enjoyed our brief stay, despite the weather, it was October after all.

We had a great stay at Turnip Cottage. It was well equipped and great care had been taken to provide extras for sanitising ;we felt very ‘ safe’ there in these unusual times. We appreciated the wine and biscuits too. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and we enjoyed the bright little ‘conservatory’ particularly where we could watch the sun setting. It was a great base for exploring Flamborough giving easy trash to all our favourite birding spots. Thank you John and Angela.

We have now stayed at six of the seven cottages at Field House Farm. They all have different characteristics and we love them all. In the new extension/sun room we were able to watch families playing croquet and children happily playing on the play equipment and appreciate the green fields and ‘wildlife’.
We appreciate how much care has gone into providing excellent holiday cottages and the Owners want everyone to enjoy all that they offer and that includes peace and calm in these difficult times.

Whilst the hosts were unable to welcome us fully because of virus restrictions the property spoke for them. It was spacious, clean and fully equipped with everything you are likely to need. The kitchen diner was modern and full of every gadget and ample space around the dining table for four people. A new sun room has been added which is a lovely place to sit and watch the farm and take the afternoon sunshine. The living room has two large comfortable settees ,c coffee tables and a good sized TV. The bedroom is spacious with plenty of storage and includes a dressing table. The bathroom has a large walk in shower along with toilet etc. The hot water is almost instant and the multiple shower heads deliver a good powerful shower. Finally there are lovely gardens and a large pond with seating nearby as well as a children's play area.
We will definitely return in the future and may look to trying out some of their many other options.

Stayed at this property over New Year 2019/20. Very relaxing location. All was good aside from a problem with the dishwasher, however the owners even offered to do our dishes! The only downside is that this cottage really doesn't have any outlook to speak of. Many windows have frosted glass to avoid you staring out at nothing other than agricultural buildings.

Thank you for taking the trouble to review The Turnip House. We are sorry the Smeg dishwasher decided to misbehave over the New Year holiday period - a time when none of our trusted tradesmen were on call. The Turnip House looks out over its own patio area and across the large, landscaped courtyard at the front. We have been aware that the cottage would benefit from open views and have planned for this feature. Since your visit we have taken down a nearby farm building (this work was already scheduled for January 2020) and the rear of the cottage will soon offer views over our fields.

We have had the fortune to stay once again at Fieldhouse Farm in the Turnip House. This must be one of, if not the best cottage we have had the good fortune to stay at. All the staff and family are welcoming and it was a lovely touch to have a Christmas tree and lights for this stay. When Angela realised it was to be our 40th anniversary she gave us a card and present, very thoughtful we thought. This is a cosy and very comfortable cottage that needs nothing added, everything you need is there and is of very good quality. We look forward to many more visits in the coming years.

This is our third time in the turnip house and once again we have found everything we could need in a holiday cottage. Clean warm comfortable with plenty of room. Warm, beautifully appointed and well equipped accommodation within very easy reach of Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs; ideal if, like us, you're keen birders. The tray with wine, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits upon arrival was most welcome.

Secure storage for our two bikes was also offered which was a really nice and unexpected touch.There's easy access to local cycle routes which, when the weather was a little less wet and blowy, were a good way of exploring locally.

Cottage was excellently equipped and furnished. This was our first visit to this part of the country and we had a lovely stay. For those looking for the chance to relax and unwind, this is the perfect place. Lots of places nearby to visit and see and we loved the coastal walks.

This was our fifth visit to fieldhouse farm and staying in the Turnip House. We find the cottage is like home from home, high quality and comfortable furnishing throughout, excellent kitchen and new bathroom with luxury shower. Everything has been thought of. John and Angela are welcoming hosts and always available for any help needed. It,s good to see other guests coming and going on the farm and makes the experience more homely, the cows in the field and chickens in the farm garden also the drive in and out into the country lane gives a true sense of being on holiday. There is a lovely garden that,you can sit in if you don,t want to go far and there are many attractions to visit locally and further afield. Bridlington has fantastic beaches and local walks along the cliff top are exceptional. We can always find something new to,do.The local farm shop just down the lane is really useful and also does breakfasts and lunches, other eateries are also close by. The co op supermarket is near and a large Morrison’s can be found in Bridlington. It,s the perfect getaway and hope to be back again. Anne from London

Loved our stay at The Turnip house, lovely comfortable cottage within an attractive complex of cottages.
Very quiet and peaceful, great nights sleeps. Nice kitchen with everything we needed. Smart ensuite with super shower.
The position is great for RSPB Bempton Cliffs which was our main reason for coming to this area, is only a short trip up the road. Flamborough equally close. Plenty of eating places around and just on the outskirts of Bridlington if this is your scene but not really ours. Filey not far away is a smaller, more old fashioned resort.

Felt good from the moment we opened the door and the very good layout and style confirmed our initial view.

Touches of modern with cottagey worked really well


Our host Mr and Mrs Foster were hands on and made us welcome.

Weather was not too brilliant but as it was a relaxing space staying in occasionally was not an issue

Perhaps a few more hooks in the kitchen and some non stick pans would have been a boon

This is our 2nd stay in the turnip house, as before it was spotless, comfortable and warm. We have stayed in 3 other cottages belonging to field house farm cottages and found them all to be of the same high standard. I would recommend anyone who wants a holiday in a really nice location to try one of them. Hope to be back next year.

Home from home but much neater. Well equipped, clean. They thought of everything tea, milk, sugar , cookies and a bottle of wine on arrival. Endless supply of logs for the wood burning stove. No intrusions, quiet courtyard with baby cows in the field behind. Idyllic. Perfect spot for walking, bird watching and simply taking a break from the rat race. Highly recommend.

We booked Field House for a weekend in Bridlington. Location was perfect as it was close enough to get to Bridlington quickly but far enough away for peace & quiet. Unfortunately I was poorly all weekend so we did not manage to do everything we wanted, however it was like a home from home when I needed it! We will 100% book again.

We had previously stayed here in 2013 and it was as good as we remembered it. Very quiet location but only a short drive to the main roads around Bridlington so it's very easy to get out and about. The cottage is very comfortable and both the kitchen and bathroom had been upgraded to a very high standard since our last visit, and we both loved the large shower. The kitchen was well supplied apart from a glass bowl or jug to use in the microwave, which would have been very useful to have, otherwise we had no problems. The visits by the two farm cats was also very welcome as we were missing ours!

Just back from a great week at The Turnip House, which is exactly as shown on the photographs: roomy, comfortable and very clean with kind friendly host team. It is so close to the wonderful cliffs at Flamborough Head and RSPB Bempton Cliffs, that we were there every evening after supper, spotting adorable puffins - some with pufflings still - and soaring fabulous gannets (whose young have the whitest fluffiest down imaginable), fulmars, razorbills and guillemots. Lovely walks everywhere. Only 12 miles from Filey Bay where The White Lodge hotel does very good fresh food with excellent views of the bay. Plenty of other places of interest to explore in easy reach, including the spectacular Elizabethan hall at Burton Agnes.

This is a perfect place for a brace - plenty of room, excellent kitchen and shower room. Sitting out in its little courtyard garden on a sunny morning is bliss.

Simply the best is the only way we both could describe Field House Farm and the properties. We are on not the first visit and look forward to visiting again in September. It can not be faulted and the wonderful reception from the owners and staff is first class.
If you need anything youd can knock on the door, otherwise you are left in peace to enjoy all that East Yorkshire has to offer. Ideally located on the East Coast of Yorkshire to enjoy the coast or inland with good roads to explore in all directions. We can not fault it in any way.

The Turnip House is the perfect base for all activities in the Bridlington area. It is very well equipped, with lots of varied books and some puzzles for evenings in or rainy days as well as quality radios and TV/DVD. There is plenty of storage for your things in kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, and the large shower is great. We appreciated coming in to a vase of fresh flowers too.
Should you have a sleepwalker among you, just be aware that the door to outside has an easily turned knob lock on the inside, key is only from outside.
Do make sure if you require a local street map or Ordnance Survey maps that you get them in advance, as we managed without on our short, out-of-season stay, having not been able to get them locally on arrival. If coming and going after dark a torch can be handy, although switching on the outside light before you go out for the evening will help you see your way to the door.
With the Field House Farm eco approach to everything, you can have a most enjoyable holiday here with a clear conscience too.

We wanted certain elements for our break, we have been "trying out" various cottages in the Bridlington area this year ( some were disappointing, Turnip house was not). We do not want to go abroad or on coach holidays anymore. Our essential elements are, amongst others;
Ease of getting there
Ease of, and secure parking
Quiet surroundings
Little walks out with a bit of interest, Sewerby hall was lovely, Bridlington north beach and surrounds took me back to happy childhood holidays there. It's all nearly flat so easy walking. The chip shop in Sewerby sells good fish and chips
Very good accommodation. This needs to be well made and well maintained.

Good beds, plenty of room to accommodate my large frame. This was a pretty impressive room as well
Good bathroom with hand rail for me to feel safe when showering. Good toilet which is solidly fixed.
Good wifi for my Chromecast bt sport football, nowtv package and web browser
Separate kitchen from lounge so Val can make charity cards at the table and the noise from the washer, fridge freezer doesn't obscure our being able to hear the TV.

This cottage ticked all the boxes for us plus many more. We have decided to use this site as our bench mark. The brochure pictures are accurate but in reality don't fully encapsulate the "feel" of the cottage which is comfortable but highly impressive. It is a little " tardis like" and seems bigger than the brochure implies.

This was our third visit to Fieldhouse Farm, and we intend to return again next year. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the Turnip House instantly feels cosy, warm and welcoming and is equipped with everything you need, making it a home from home experience. For us the location is ideal, you have choices of beaches, walks, cliff tops, stately homes and the city of York is not far away to explore, there was always something to suit us no matter what the weather,,fitting it all in is the problem, that,s why we expect to return yet again. We found the driving conditions good, with roads much quieter than the south, and there was no problem with parking at beauty spots. The farm is in a quiet situation down a pretty country lane, one end continuing into the countryside towards Bempton Cliffs and at the other end you are handy for public transport if needed, a farm shop, who serve coffee and light meals, sell exceptional fruit pies, and also not far from a convenient supermarket and pub restaurant. Our special thanks to the owners for making our week so comfortable.

Our second visit to the Turnip House which again was very comfortable and all the necessary facilities were available with clear instructions. A problem with the dishwasher was sorted within 24 hours. And all instruction booklets for each appliance was readily available in case it was needed. The proprietors on arrival were very friendly. We found we just had to be careful of Jess the dog as he frequently tried to get into the cottage, as did the 2 cats. We were unable to use the outdoor chairs happily in case he decided he fancied a quick snack. He was also a little changeable in how he came across, so I wouldn't recommend the cottages to families with children. But we were warned of his temperamental personality on our arrival. On the whole it was a pleasant second visit.

We had 3 lovely nights here in May, enhanced by beautiful warm sunny weather.

Accommodation is second to none, with first class facilities throughout.

We had been recommended Field house farm Sewerby and we will be doing the same, our stay was absolutely amazing the accommodation was first class and we could not fault it, we stayed in Turnip House which sleeps two people and there was plenty of space with all home comforts. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and a very nice bottle of wine was a nice touch.
The bed and sofa's were very comfortable a real home from home. The WI FI was brilliant, ten times better than at home !

This was our second visit to The Turnip House and, as last time, we were not disappointed. Lovely accommodation, great location, clean, tidy and we loved the new bathroom. The owners Angela and John, and their team were all perfect hosts and make you feel very comfortable and welcome, offering advice and tips if required. Thanks to John's recommendation we managed to see the Puffins on Flamborough Head, which was a first for us and very special. Thank you.

Everything about The Turnip House is perfect. A perfect size for two in a perfectly peaceful location. Very easy to book and the owners Angela and John certainly take pride in their properties and provide excellent customer service. The location is very peaceful and in a perfect position for touring around the area. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately, we were unable to use the log burning stove as we had good weather which was a welcome bonus in October. We were also incredibly lucky on our visit to RSPB Bempton Cliffs to arrive on the same day as two rare birds to the U.K. were making an appearance we thought there must have been some celebrities visiting with the amount of photographers but it was a rare Bluethroat and an Eastern Crowned Warbler - what a treat. We missed an Albatross by a day.

Anyway would thoroughly recommend The Turnip House and thank you Angela, John and the team for a lovely stay.

Thank-you for your very kind and detailed review. All our visitors over the last few weeks have reported sightings of vary rare migrant birds over the cliff tops. We're very lucky when the birds migrate in Spring and Autumn to see so many different species.

This was our second visit to Field House Farm, and it certainly won't be the last! The farm is located far enough from Bridlington for peace and quiet, yet close enough for facilities such as shopping and entertainment. We wish we didn't have to recommend this property to anyone else to keep it to ourselves! It's a delight.

A wonderful week's holiday in The Turnip House for our first stay in Bridlington. The accommodation is all you would wish it to be - comfortable, spacious, cosy, welcoming and beautifully converted. All you need for a relaxing holiday is provided for. There's plenty of hot water, central heating and log fire too should you need them. During our stay the sun shone and temperatures reached 28c making the whole experience a memorable one. Thank you John & Angelia

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Turnip House. It was very comfortable and homely, with modern features. Angela and John were very welcoming. The location was very quiet and very dark (not used to being so dark). We will be visiting again, hopefully very soon.

We were very impressed with the cottage and the interior had been completed to a very high standard. The kitchen was well equipped with high quality 'white goods' and utensils. The lounge had two large sofas for relaxing, along with large TV, Blu-Ray player and DAB Radio with Bluetooth. All rooms were a nice size and we felt very much at home.
The cottage was in a quite location and well situated to reach attractions over the east the east coast of Yorkshire. This was our visit to the area and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider returning to this cottage.

We enjoyed our stay at this immaculate barn cottage.Everything was spotlessly clean, nothing looked tired & old.Bedding was fresh & clean.All in all it was a home from home.We both felt we could live there permanently.For a one bedroom property it was very spacious.The kitchen had just been updated & was very pleasing to the eye with good quality appliances & kitchen units.We would have no hesitation in returning to this cottage

We have just returned from a short (5 night) stay in the Turnip House. This was our first visit to the area and we were pleased with our choice of cottage and the location. The weather, although mainly dry, was exceptionally cold and we were grateful for the lovely log burning stove. Not really necessary due to the central heating, but it made the cottage so cosy in the evening. The cottage is well equipped with all that you could need. The welcome tray with milk, biscuits and a bottle of wine was appreciated.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location, being on a farm, and watching the lambs with their mothers and the young calves.

A lovely little cottage, clean tidy and comfortable just what we wanted and it was also close to all the places we wanted to go.
On arrival it was so nice to find tea, coffee, milk in fridge and a bottle of red wine waiting for us.

The Turnip House is the perfect place for couples wanting a peaceful, restful setting coupled with everything one could want by way of a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge with wide screen tv and a tastefully decorated bedroom with ensuite shower-room. Although it is just for two people the rooms are of a size you would expect in a larger property, so you don't feel cramped, you have room to relax! Everything you could want has been thought of and provided, down to the corn-starch bags for recycling your food waste! You don't need to bring wash-up liquid, cloths or laundry liquid, it's all there for you - and the washing machine is a washer/dryer too. The only thing, if you like coffee there is only a cafetiere, no coffee machine.

Oh yes, bring your own dvd's/ blurays, for the bluray player.

The interior decor is a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern facilities, and in my opinion has been carried out to perfection.

I highly recommend the Turnip House, and am looking forward to repeating the experience.
