We had a lovely relaxing stay at Garden Cottage. John, James and Angela are very welcoming and we appreciated the welcome hamper. The cottage is well equipped, very comfortable with fantastic views over the garden. We enjoyed exploring the area and seeing the Barn owl most days. It was also a bonus to be able to charge our car on site. We look forward to visiting again sometime.
Superb maintainence standards combined with immaculate housekeeping and set in a peaceful location provide the basis for a relaxing cottage holiday. We think this is our seventh visit which says it all.
What a wonderful find the Owl House was - the cottage was in an exceptional condition with outstanding furnishing and extra touches. . A lovely welcome hamper was provided which was much appreciated too. On entering the cottage it was much larger than we had imagined, plenty of space and everything you could possibly need was there. We have a superb time watching the wildlife in the wildflower meadow at the rear of the cottage and as birdwatchers the added bonus of course was the watching the owls and their babies on the TVs - which became quite addictive. Our second visit to The Spinney. We can’t fault it. Immaculately clean. The owl cam this time was so exciting as she had 4 babies so watching her feeding them and them growing each day was a bonus. The welcome hamper is a lovely addition. Lots of homely touches like books, games, cushions, blankets. Plenty of kitchen equipment including a fly swat which was useful after opening doors and windows on warm days. Comfortable bed, well equipped bathrooms. Peace and quiet in well kept surroundings. We look forward to our next visit.

We have been visiting Field House Farm once or twice a year for the last 16 years. It is like a second home for our family. The charming cottages, in an idyllic setting, are always spotless, cozy and well maintained, with the Foster family on site to help should there be any minor issues.
It had been several years since our last stay at The Brew House. It is a lovely apartment which has been thoughtfully set out with everything you could possibly need. The welcome basket was much appreciated. The location makes it, as you can park the car up securely until it's time to leave. Just a shame you can't book good weather!
We had such a lovely stay at Ostler’s Corner. It is a beautiful cottage in a stunning setting - we loved sitting outside watching the swallows whizz around. The kids loved the grounds - we were very lucky with the weather! And it was the perfect spot for going to the cliffs to see the puffins. We had a wonderful time! Oh and John and his family were so helpful and friendly. Thank you for making it such a great few days.
We all had an excellent and relaxing holiday watching the wildlife, the owl chicks fighting for food brought in by both parents and partridges running past the window, to rooks flying over the trees at the end of the orchard paddock.. The accommodation suits us to a tee and we all sleep well. The large fridge freezer allows us to feed ourselves without needing to go food shopping to often making our stay most pleasurable.
A delightful short stay, in this wonderful place. We chose it for its location near to Bempton RSPB and wish we had stayed longer. Well equipped, comfortable and lots of space for the two of us. Lovely character and feel about the whole Field House Farm
The Roost was a very comfortable and clean place to stay whilst exploring East Yorkshire and the coast and ideal for the less mobile as everything is on one level with a wet room. The Field House Farm complex is well laid out and was lovely and peaceful. Availability of E.V charging points made it easy for us to charge the car when needed.
Property is well equipped, good condition and clean. Excellent location for walking into the city and allocated parking space. Underfloor heating is nice. Don't know about temperature if we had a heatwave. The windows open but there are no fans but extra heaters in the cupboard. Had to look to find the washing machine hidden in the en suite bathroom. There is only a single oven so we had to think about what meals we cooked but not a major issue. We would recommend providing a saute pan as there is a small frying pan but we have a 28cm saute pan at home and is great as an all purpose cooking pa...more
