The Fosters, John, Angela & James have over 30 years of experience providing luxury holidays and short breaks at their 12 cottages at the family farm, on the spectacular coast of East Yorkshire and at their 3 superior York city centre apartments, located within the city walls, only a stone's throw from York Minster. in the historic Old Brewery building.
Both locations are central for all attractions, the farm is only 3 miles from RSPB Bempton Cliffs and the magnificent chalk cliffs of Flamborough Head. The city apartments are central to the historic city of York. All locations offer everything needed for a fabulous stay and all offer peace, tranquility and superb luxury.
Both farm and city locations have allocated car-parking spaces, with a secure bike store available on the farm and this can be arranged by request, at York. Electric vehicle charging points are available at both the High Barn and Field House sites. We make a modest £20.00 upfront charge for this service, which is intended to cover normal usage.
This is a fantastic cottage. Inside it was spacious, comfortable and well kitted out. We appreciated the downstairs bedroom. and en-suite. The bed linen was excellent and we were pleased to find the fluffy duvet was only 4.5t tog!
There were lovely views to the garden and the patio area felt very private. The conservatory was a welcome addition.
The cottage was quietly situated yet close to the amenities of Bridlington and other visitor attractions.
Well done to the Foster family for this lovely conversion.
A delightful cottage in a perfect location for visiting Bempton cliffs RSPB. Cottage is exceptionally clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed, situated in lovely grounds in a very peaceful location. It is our third visit to High Barn, and we'll definitely be back!
Our party of four had a wonderful holiday in The Cake House… this was the second time we had been to that location having stayed in The Granary in 2025. As always it was the perfect venue and the very generous welcoming hamper was greatly appreciated… the best we have ever had.
It was so perfectly situated for visiting some wonderful places of interest… Beverley, Hornsea, Pocklington and many more.
It was nice to see what was happening with the Owlets too.
We were delighted to find this amazing place. From start to finish The Spinney was perfect.
Beautiful clean accommodation with so many thoughtful touches. The welcome hamper was so impressive and the owl cam streamed to the tvs addictive to watch The spinney suited our needs so well. My elderly mother has mobility issues so the step free spacey accomodation was ideal well kitted out, immaculate and comfortable it was the perfect base to visit the coast line..
We met other guests staying at the development who were returning customers and we can see why.
We are excited to plan our next st...more
Another lovely stay at York Old Brewery.
We are always amazed at how peaceful it is here; considering its wonderful position right in the centre of York.
After a day of sightseeing it’s lovely to come back to this luxurious apartment and relax with the sound of birds in the trees outside.
Can’t wait until our next visit!
We have been visiting Field House Farm once or twice a year for the last 16 years. It is like a second home for our family.
The charming cottages, in an idyllic setting, are always spotless, cozy and well maintained, with the Foster family on site to help should there be any minor issues.
Our one week stay was very enjoyable thanks to the exceptional, spacious well equipped accommodation at Ostler's Corner.
We were very close to the coast and within easy reach of many attractions on offer in East Yorkshire.
Many thanks to John Foster and family for helping to make my wife and I very welcome.
We had a lovely stay at The Granary where we have visited on a number of occasions. This was our first visit in the summer months and we really enjoyed sitting outdoors listening to the birds and on one occasion spotting a weasel. We spent a good amount of time watching the owl chicks on the live stream and have missed that since coming home. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful place.
My husband and I could not find any fault with The Turnip House.
The furniture, crockery, cutlery etc.is top quality.
Nothing lacking very clean.
This is a very interesting farm, to be in safety but so close to the beef cattle (and bull when he was out) was a priviledge.
It’s position is ideal for visiting many interesting places.
Perfect place to stay, we are hoping to return for a longer stay next time when we are looking for a holiday venue.
This was our first time at FHF the roost and I have to say it exceeded our expectations, the cottage itself was clean & tidy & spacious enough for me to get around in a wheelchair,& there’s plenty of room outside for 2 cars to park.If you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay with all the mod cons that’s ideally situated to explore Bridlington & surrounding areas and offers peace & tranquility I’d recommend the roost at FHF all day long it’s 1st class.
Great break at FHF again. Stayed in the Byre this time. We have stayed in many of the cottages over the years and they are all wonderful, comfortable and so well equipped. Looking forward to returning and always recommending to friends and family.
Property is well equipped, good condition and clean. Excellent location for walking into the city and allocated parking space. Underfloor heating is nice. Don't know about temperature if we had a heatwave. The windows open but there are no fans but extra heaters in the cupboard. Had to look to find the washing machine hidden in the en suite bathroom. There is only a single oven so we had to think about what meals we cooked but not a major issue. We would recommend providing a saute pan as there is a small frying pan but we have a 28cm saute pan at home and is great as an all purpose cooking pa...more
An excellent location , beautiful coastline and wild life to enjoy. This week was perfect with a gentle sea breeze. The cottage was
perfect for all our needs. A good place for return visits.
The bonus this time was to see the dolphins at Flamborough head, amazing.
