This is our second time staying at the Garden Cottage and we have stayed at High Barn Cottages for the past 10 years. For us, this cottage is simply perfect. Home from home in some sense but with the tranquillity and seclusion we are all chasing. The cottage is cosy and large and beautifully finished with all modern comforts. We loved our stay this December but had to hastily retreat when the snow came ( so apologies to John and family for this ) but we will be back soon. A truly wonderful, chilled and peaceful stay for us and now ready for 2026 !!
Stayed for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. Cottage is perfection we could not say one negative thing and we are very fussy! Spotlessly clean to the point you feel you are the first to stay here. The cottages are stunning. The stone walls give such ambience twinned with subtle lighting. Super Comfy couches and bed. Lots of free logs. Best welcome hamper ever! Easy to use all appliances and TV with guides if needed. Well equipped kitchen as we like to cook. So warm throughout with great underfloor heating we had t shirts on whilst minus degrees outside. FAMILY OF FOUR BOOKED TWO DAYS PRIOR AND THANKS TO JAMES FOR HANGING AROUND TO MEET US IN PERSON LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON. FANTASTIC STAY AT "THE CAKE HOUSE" BOTH BEDROOMS EN-SUITE OUR TEENAGE DAUGHTERS LOVED THERE ROOM OVERLOOKING OPEN FIELDS NO ONE ELSE THERE DURING OUR STAY AND FELT VERY SPECIAL. FULLY FITTED KITCHEN, FREE WIFI ETC. THANKS FOR THE MILK, BUTTER, MINERAL WATER AND JUICE IN THE FRIDGE FOR OUR ARRIVAL. TEA, COFFEE ALL INCLUDED THANK YOU, WE WILL BE BACK. One of the nicest places I have stayed. It was peaceful and beautifully presented and had everything I wanted - and amazingly they had an owl box with a live camera feed! What fun! I would love to visit again.

Our fifth time with Heritage in another of their cottages and it didn’t disappoint. Really enjoyed our stay and were lucky with the weather. Enjoyed having the extra space with the conservatory for our craft afternoons with our granddaughter. She loved the play area but was disappointed that the trampoline was no longer there. We had to tell her it was too windy for it Would definitely recommend and book again.
It was a bonus to have on site parking with this lovely property though once we had parked we went everywhere on foot! We were so close to the Shambles, Minster, shops and restaurants and enjoyed returning to our comfortable base. We hope to return.
A pleasant stay. Grandkids love staying here ask us to come back every year.we love staying at heritage escapes. Weather good for time of year didn’t stop us going out.kids loved Whitby and scarbrough fair.John Angela James Fiona are always very welcoming and friendly nothing to much trouble for them. We will be back next year already looking forward to it.
A wonderful few days staying in Turnip House. The accommodation was excellent, we did not eat in the property but certainly there was everything needed to do so. Extremely clean and well presented. I personally appreciated the clear information supplied by e mail before we arrived. We will certainly book again…

We have been staying with the Fosters for many years and have always enjoyed the comfort and wildlife in the vasinity, watching the owls preparing for parenthood and the rooks building nests and jostling for top of the pecking order make for a very pleasant stay.
The Malt House is a wonderful apartment, everything you need is on the doorstep, with the added bonus of it being in a quiet and peaceful location. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped, with the added bonus of a parking space in the centre of York. We have already booked a return visit.
This is the third time we have stayed at Field House Farm and we absolutely love it. The cottages are always so clean, cosy and comfortable and it is perfectly placed for Brid and Flamborough, with loads to do to keep the kids entertained. Will be back, again and again!
This is our 4th stay in the Old Dairy. We did consider looking elsewhere but as we really love the layout and the log burner we decided to pay another visit. The accommodation is excellent with everything you need. We continue to find different places to visit in the area and really loved the walk along the coast near the Flamborough North Landing and the Lighthouse.
