Returned for our second visit to this beautiful cottage. We have stayed with Heritage Escapes several times. See my last review from previous weekend for value for money! We did encounter some problems on this visit. Not ones that John or Angela could foresee however John and Angela sorted this. We have been enjoying the cottages for many years, multiple times in the year so have seen them in many weather conditions and have always been warm and cosy. We have booked another holiday again in another of these lovely cottages, and looking forward to seeing how the owls have fledged on the owlcam.
I stayed at The Owl House with my two daughters for a long weekend and it was our first time there. The cottage was lovely. It was very clean and well equipped with a beautiful nature enhancing garden. We were visited by rabbits and two deer that came up to our patio windows and bats in the evening. The owls in the owl box kept up transfixed watching them and it was such an honour that the first hatching happened during our stay. Superb holiday accommodation, clean and comfortable, in a quiet and secure location. Would certainly stay again.
Our second stay at Fieldhouse farm cottages. Great place for visiting RSPB Bempton & a sea side holiday Every thing you could need in the kitchen. Lovely comfy beds. Lovely friendly & helpful owners. fully recommend for an East Yorkshire holiday.
As we have been to both High Barn Cake House + The Spinney also Field House Farms Garden Cottage + The Old Dairy..We believe this speaks for itself..we would come much more often if we could afford it...worth every penny..please advise if special offers are available
Absolutely brilliant accommodation. Lovely gift basket. Everything you could want provided. Clean, comfortable, lovely view of top of minster and little outside courtyard. Would happily live there. So convenient for town. Parking on site (though we didn't need it). We will definitely recommend to friends and be back ourselves. Thankyou.
Great apartment in a perfect and central location within the city walls. Within a couple of minutes walk to the centre of York, yet very quiet. Apartment is kept to a high standard. Very clean with everything you could need during the stay. Will definitely hope to stay here again!
Ostler's Corner is part of a beautiful grouping of old farm buildings that have been very artistically converted for accomodation. So many of the original features have been kept so it is very charming seeing original brick work and rafters.They are grouped around a courtyard planted with old roses and there is an outdoor table and chairs. Each cottage is completely private. Ostler's Corner is very spacious with a long table for dining at. This was our 3rd stay at the old brewery apartments so we have stayed in all 3 of them and we love them all. Perfectly located right in the hub of york and yet so peaceful. Gated access and parking for the car. Apartments are home from home spotlessly clean and comfortable and lovely welcoming basket of goodies on arrival. We would highly recommend anyone to stay its the perfect accommodation in the perfect location. Our stay always goes too quickly but we will definitely be back.
This was my second time staying at Field House Farm but in a different property. The Roost is absolutely beautiful with lovely decor throughout. Extremely comfortable and very well equipped we lacked for nothing - so many little extra things are provided like dishwasher tablets, wash powder, cleaning products etc which are so useful. Two gorgeous bedrooms with comfy beds - both rooms en-suite. There’s an excellent selection of books, information about the cottage and surrounding area and suggestions for shopping and eating out. The cottage was the best we have been in, so spacious, cosy and beautifully renovated. Ideal position for visiting the local seaside towns and cliff path walks Unfortunately the weather let us down and we only had one sunny day to relax on Cayton Bay.
We enjoyed a lovely stay in The Granary. Facilities and cleanliness were excellent. On our arrival John came to check everything was ok and gave us advice about the local area. The welcome basket was very generous and came in very useful during our stay. Owl cam was wonderful, to see the chicks and then mum and dad bringing food in and watching them feed was nice to watch. We would definitely return to the accommodation should we holiday in the area again.
Beautiful, superbly equipped to highest standards inside and out. Ideal location for Bempton cliffs and surrounding coast. Highly recommended.
