Had a wonderful week at Le Fournil, perfect escape from it all. Stunning location, magnificent cottages, lots to see and do. Loved it!
This was the fourth time we have stayed in one or other of these cottages, and it fully lived up to our expectations.
Why does your feedback system demand that I write something in this field. It's totally reasonable to not wish to write anything here. I have reached the point where I don't do reviews where you insist on an entry like this, in which case you don't get feedback
We had a wonderful family holiday staying at La Grange - my parents, and our family of four (two children 6 and under). The house (and the site in general) is beautiful, well maintained and well equipped, and the surrounding countryside is absolutely idyllic. We enjoyed cycling along the river and the kids loved the pool and exploring the enormous garden! We found our way to lots of local attractions through the very helpful guestbook, such as the markets and a medieval living history museum, and the wonderfully varied beaches of South Brittany were easily accessible for a day trip. Wastwater cottage was a beautiful place to stay for my Mums 90th birthday celebration. A fabulous spacious cottage with wonderful walks from the doorstep. It catered perfectly for all our needs both young and old which included two disabled adults (ensuite wet room), a baby ( cot, high chair, toys, stair gate) and two well behaved dogs. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed to self cater. Comfortable, clean and warm. The laundry room was a useful facility. Lovely stay in the village of Boot. Lots of walking options. Eskdale valley is so beautiful. Now our favourite part of the Lake District. Very comfortable cottage to come home to at the end of a day’s walking. And 2 pubs just a short distance away for dinner. It was exactly what we needed for a 4 night stay.
A gorgeous cottage in a lovely setting. Excellent communications and care of the cottage. Nit picking, I would say that for the price I would have expected, some things we usually find as standard in other up market rentals, such as a decent size chopping / bread board, cling film and tin foil. The dishwasher also required rinse aid and salt. Yes, fairly trivial, and didn't take too much away from the overall stay, which we enjoyed.
