The Bothy is a lovely place to stay, very peaceful and great walks from the doorstep. The Glengorm estate is great for walks both short and long, we walked the lane from the cottage to the sea and from the castle out over the fields - lovely. We loved seeing the highland cows come to the lake for their daily drink and on our walks saw golden eagles and seals.
The cottage itself is very well designed with a great well equipped kitchen, a nice lounge and a mezzanine bedroom with a skylight opposite the bed which was great for a bit of bedtime stargazing!
The one drawback of the cottage was the stairs, great design but no handrail and painted with gloss paint. Although getting up and down wasn't a problem, we would have felt safer with a handrail and/or carpet.

We have stayed in the Bothy before. We love tranquility of it, with only walkers and the odd quad bike going past. The stairs do present an agility challenge but we understand a bannister is to be fitted. The fire is good and the recent addition of a washing line extremely useful. Overall it is comfortable and quirky.

We had such a lovely stay at the Bothy, the location is great, so rural and very soothing.
The cottage is cosy and we loved the way it is decorated !
Around the cottage are some beautiful walks with even better vieuws, and lunch at the Coffeeshop is well recommended.

Having stayed at Glengorm some years ago, when the B&B was operating in the main house, we knew how wonderful the estate was and had no hesitation in booking the Shepherds Bothy, on our visit to Mull
We were extremely lucky with the weather on our visit, which really put the icing on the cake for us. I dont think we have ever stayed in a place before that was so tranquil, with no disturbance from anything other than the occasional person walking past, and part of the herd of Highland cattle visiting the pond near the bothy for an early morning drink.
In our walks around the estate, and down to the coast we managed to see Seals on the rocks and even a fleeting glimpse of an Eagle.
Whilst the Bothy is very peaceful, and equipped for every eventuality, it is not far from the estate coffe shop where we were made very welcome by team Glengorm, and were able to sample the local cuisine at its finest.

I always love coming back to Mull, and it was so nice to do so in a different location. The Bothy is such a great place to stay for two people. Would thoroughly recommend staying here !

The Bothy for us was perfect in every way, private, comfortable and a place to relax far from the maddening crowd! It’s a beautiful location within easy reach of lovely walks and outstanding views. Having the Coffee Shop nearby was wonderful, we had a superb lunch on two occasions plus coffee and cake visits.
There is no WiFi at bothy, not a problem for us, unfortunately the signal to the television was not working during our week but arrangements were made for an engineer to call. It didn’t worry us too much but would have been good to have availability. We enjoyed the log burner in the evenings and staff were very helpful in chopping the logs for us. The Bothy is beautifully designed, if I had one comment to make, it is the white stair which when coming down can be difficult to see each step (we are seniors but mobile) a handrail would maybe make a difference! However, that apart, we have booked for next year, that tells you everything!

We stayed at the Bothy for one week in June. Our first impression was wow and it don’t disappoint. Lovely accommodation, fully equipped with everything you would need and more. Beautiful setting with lovely walks around the estate. Coffee shop was lovely and staff were very nice. Love Glengorm and will definitely be back.

Delightful cottage, in a terrific spot, close to the cafe and numerous walks around Glengorm itself. NO WIFI though because of the location and intermittent TV reception. Not a problem for us but may be for others. No dishwasher or tumble drier either. The internal stairs are not suitable for anyone with mobility problems or anyone who needs to visit the downstairs toilet during the night, I couldn't find a photo of them anywhere. But we had a lovely time and loved the visiting highland cows. If the downsides aren't a problem for you, overall, a great cottage and surroundings.

The Glengorm estate is simply stunning. The nature and wildlife are amazing, whilst the bothy was perfection. As it has no wifi and poor mobile network connection we truly felt away from it all.
Can't wait to go again.

Remember this well as the "plumbing junk store". Amazing transformation. As usual a lovely stay on Glengorm. Lost count of how often we have stayed and this was new to us. Some might think the access down a rough track was tricky (it's not!) but there is other parking nearby.

Very confirtable cottage with all the amenities (except vodafone because it is in a small glen) and equipment one might need. Excellent location for north Mull and for walks. Highly recommended.

A wonderful area for a self-catering cottage, the Glengorm Estate is a place of outstanding beauty. "The Bothy" provides first class accommodation much more spacious than the name suggests. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place! Having said that, it is only 5 miles from Mull's main town, Tobermory.
Expect to see a lot of wildlife and the not so wild - a herd of highland cattle!
