Have just returned from weeks Holiday to Dollies Barn with 11 members of the family of all ages, the grandchildren have enjoyed the freedom of the gardens which were beautifully kept. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, even everything we needed for BBQ, thoroughly enjoyable Holiday.

Lovely property ideal for a family break away, and ideal location with town centre and beaches only a short drive away. Great play area for the children. House had everything you needed to cook/prepare family meals and all utensils were of a high quality. Would have no hesitation in booking a repeat visit.

We were a group of 4 couples with kids, it was such a great long weekend at Dolly's barn, the cottage was so well fitted, comfy, clean and characterful, we loved it. The garden and grounds were great, we'd love to come back.

Amazing property - ideal for our family of six adults and two toddlers. Very welcome cream tea on arrival - thank you so much for that lovely touch. House had absolutely everything you could need for a family holiday. Lovely idea to have the boards and buckets and spades to borrow too. Our only disappointment was the weather which decided to be very wet while we were there so we didn’t make the most of the play area and BBQ . Very comfortable beds too with good quality linen. Beautiful Dolly’s Barn.

We stayed at Dolly’s and Aggie’s Barns. Children and Parents in Aggie’s and rest in Dolly’s. Worked perfectly. Lovely grounds and short drive to beaches.

Perfectly located, plenty of space inside and out. Well equipped kitchen area. Clean comfy beds. Big squishy sofas which are great for the youngsters, there was one firmer chair...could have done with another (for the older members of our party). Altogether a great holiday cottage with plenty of character.

My family had a wonderful time during our recent stay at Dolly's Barn. It was clean, tidy and loads of room for 10 of us without getting under each others feet. It was well equipped inside and out & the grandchildren had plenty to do outside with loads of space to run around and play football etc. The table tennis table was a hit with the adults and children alike.

Higher Mullacott Farm is ideally situated for all of North Devon's attractions with Barnstaple, Croyde and Ilfracombe all within easy reach.

We loved it so much we have already booked again for next year.

An easy to find location with ample parking. Very friendly and helpful hosts. The interior was fitted out to a good standard. Good sized rooms and bathrooms making the most of all available space. The outside seating area was very useful especially the BBQ.
Plenty of footpaths and wonderful scenery on the doorstep. Only one downside, a few more saucepans would be great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We chose Dollys Barn on a whim for 3 families to get away for some much needed R&R and it’s was the right choice for all of us. The barn is a conversion done to a very good standard comfortably sleeping 11 adults. Although it maintains its oldie world character and features there are also enough modern touches for all (smart tvs, Wi-Fi etc.) to not get bored. The kitchen and dining areas are charming in the country style but also practical to cook and eat in for, in our case, 9 people. The lounge area is comfortable and lends itself well to late night conversations or just for curling up and watching tv. There is a playground within the gardens that occupied our 4 & 5 year old perfectly well. All in all we wanted for nothing as far as amenities went. Cleanliness was second to none and in these days of covid concerns it was nice to see all precautions were taken to protect everyone staying. All in all I can’t recommend Dollys Barn highly enough and we are already discussing dates for our return visit.

Dolly's Barn was a lovely place to stay, the beds were very comfortable, accommodation was very clean, there were lots of facilities outside for the children, a park, ping pong table, basketball and lots of space to run around. Would really recommend this place as close to both Woollacombe and Croyde beaches and was a really lovely place to stay. Thankyou!

Really nice place and very well equipped with the bonus of a large play area.
Items in the beach hut were good and useful for taking to the beach - a good thought by the owners.
Location from Ilfracombe/Woolacombe about 12mins driving- very central.
Could do with clothes line or tumble dryer.

We had a lovely week at Dolly’s barn with our family. Everything was spotlessly clean on arrival and the house was well equipped - we had everything we needed. The gardens are extensive and beautiful with a great play area which worked so well for the children. It is in an ideal location for beaches and coast walks.
We had a great time - which we could have stayed for longer!

We had an excellent stay in dolly’s barn, beautiful house and grounds. Location on busy road so would be unsuitable to walk or cycle anywhere nearby.
Owners of the house on site who were very friendly and welcoming.
The grounds for children are fantastic.
My favourite cottages a third party agent who we booked through weren’t the most helpful and I felt like a burden if I had any questions so wouldn’t recommend using them. Go direct if you can.

A beautifully presented property set in exceptional grounds. Very peaceful location.
The barn was well equipped and comfortable. Would highly recommend to families wanting to get away from it all and still have great access to the many beautiful areas of north Devon.
Extra touches - cream tea on arrival and the personal welcome was appreciated.
The only tips for improving the stay would be minor.
The small freezer seemed to struggle keeping ice cream frozen and ice packs.
We had difficulty with a couple of internal doors, this comes with an older property but for parties with younger children this could be more of a concern. The owner was more than helpful and always available to answer our queries.
Overall a fabulous property which we would highly recommend to families young and old.

We had a lovely weeks stay here. Beautiful inside and out. We stopped in Dolly's barn which was very spacious and had everything that we needed. The kids loved the play area and grounds. The owners were lovely and very accommodating.

What a perfect place for a family gathering,We rented both Aggies and Dolly’s for 5 nights over the New Year.
Both are lovely,very comfortable and tastefully decorated, they are very well equipped with everything you would need.
The grounds are Ideal for children to play with a Park,Football net,Basketball and Table Tennis.
Fantastic location as all local attractions are so easy to get to.

Dolly’s Barn at Higher Mullacott proved to be the perfect place to stay for three nights around the wedding of my nephew in Georgeham.
There was plenty of space, both living and bedrooms for six adults and two small children who needed separate rooms for sleeping. The owners, Tim and Cathy, and Tim’s father, Stanley, could not have been more helpful.
The property’s location on the A361 made access to Woolacombe, Ilfracombe and Croyde Bay very easy so we enjoyed some time there as well as the wedding in Georgeham.





We all enjoyed our stay.

The children enjoyed the ‘park’ with the play equipment and we appreciated the lovely gardens.

Clarity about washing lines and a better freezer would have been appreciated. Also more mugs and proper cereal bowls.

Sound did travel upstairs very easily to the corridor because of the gap along the wall due to the method of construction of the first floor.

Brilliant location!

A lovely spacious and comfortable character house, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Extensive garden with play area, picnic benches, bbq and summer house, very relaxing. Such a nice welcome from the owner, and a cream tea! Situated close to Ilfracombe but surrounded by countryside therefore very peaceful.
