Memory House has everything, perfect location, stunning interior, private hot tub and best of all sea views. The four bedroom Woolacombe holiday let comfortably accommodates 6-7 guests and is the ideal beachside holiday home with the award-winning beach quite literally just across the road.

Haven’t been to Woolacombe for 4 years after previously going annually for 12 years - still a lovely family resort with fab beach but we thought some places had gone downhill unfortunately and without The Beachcomber to go to next year we think we might give Woolacombe a miss as there isn’t an abundance of eateries - we did enjoy Miss Fea’s Bistro in Morthoe, The Jube and The Meraki Coffee Co.
The house is probably in the best location - it has wonderful sea views that I don’t think can be beaten by any other Woolacombe property.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely although it would have been nice for more seating in the front bedroom to appreciate the views - the room was certainly big enough to stand two comfy chairs.
The kitchen was well equipped and the downstairs area was nicely decorated. There was a lovely welcome box with goodies in that was very much appreciated.
In my opinion, the seating in the lounge was lacking in number and comfort - there were two chairs that were impossible to sit in and be comfortable, two chairs that were comfy for short periods and a corner sofa that could do with a clean and maybe some bricks underneath as it was so low down !!
It always seems to be that holiday accommodation never has enough comfy seating for the amount of people it can sleep!
And, as usual for Woolacombe, the TV was dodgy - we took our Firestick - which I would recommend for others to take.
The outdoor area was very nice, plenty of seating - I’m sure in warmer weather it’s very nice to be outside and to use the facilities available.
We arrived early (although not expecting access) and were confused as to where the keybox was as I think we were sent outdated entry info - I phoned the caretaker, who quite frankly, I found a bit scary and unfriendly so I then rang the booking agents who were excellent - thank you!

Our second time at the house. Great spot, directly across the road ad car park from the beach and the excellent Beachcomber cafe, with parking space for 2 cars and private lawn. Wraparound terrace with ample seating, outside dining area, gas BBQ, large hot tub, external hot shower, all as described.

The ground floor open plan kitchen / dining / sitting room with internet TV is super, with huge windows and a high ceiling. It is equipped with virtually everything, including a Nespresso machine (original pods) (but no milk frother).

The two first floor bedrooms are enormous, with huge windows looking over the beach and massive cupboard space and big bathrooms, though one has only a walk-in shower (with shower gel almost out of reach for some reason). One useful addition to the bedrooms would be a desk for working, which most people must do these days. There is a desk on the big first floor landing, but this is not really ideal.

The two bedrooms on the second floor are much smaller and one of these is really a single, so if the party includes four couples, there will be fights over who gets the palatial ones on the first floor......

Thoroughly recommend it and we plan to return....

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of June, and were blown away. Although the pictures clearly sold it to us, it was even more perfect in real life. A fabulous location, short walking distance to amenities and the beach, and the garden overlooking the beach was perfect. The hot tub is a lovely addition, and the outside shower made easy work of cleaning up the kids and dog after a day at the beach. Comfy beds, very spacious rooms, modern decor, views that speak for themselves.

The only minor issues: 1. The comfort of the sofa (very low and hard to get up off), and the two chairs in the window weren't great for comfort either and felt more like camping chairs (Would be nice to sit and admire the beautiful views) 2. The bathroom extractor rattling all night due to the wind in one of the bedrooms on the first floor 3. Rat bait boxes need moving to locations not accessible to children in the garden

I would 100% without hesitation book this property again, and would recommend to anyone who is considering it.

This property is in an ideal location overlooking Woolacombe beach. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch.
The decking where the table and hot tub are situated are very overlooked by the adjoining property, which you can’t see from the pictures.
If you are all adults using all bedrooms, it’s worth noting that there is absolutely no clothes storage in the fourth bedroom - not even a hook on the back of the door!
These are very minor points, but might be handy to know in advance of arrival.

Luxurious family accommodation - big open living room / kitchen, with wood burner ( ample free wood) as well as excellent central heating. 2 huge double bedrooms with enormous windows overlooking the beach, both with excellent shower / bathrooms. Bedrooms on top floor small, in comparison, but ok. Deck with hot tub, already heated when we arrived, and outside seating overlooking beach. Clean gas BBQ available. Parking for 2 cars (sometimes competition from residents of adjoining properties. All in all, a super place. We immediately booked a week for next year!



Excellent place and house. Sadly both my children have come out in a hot tub rash.

The house was amazing and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. There are a few things broken or requiring maintenance with the house.
Also after visiting doctors both my children have come out in a ‘hot tub rash’. Meaning bacteria in the hot tub and we all were skeptical getting in as it looked merky.
All outdoor cushions were covered in spiders and dirt.
But really lovely house apart from the aftermath from the uncleaned hot tub.




Needs more comfortable chairs in lounge.

Beautiful property and location. The only down side was not being able to park up when we arrived after a long journey, and more comfortable chairs needed in lounge where the plug sockets under tv were an eye sore.

We were lucky to get this booking following a cancellation and enjoyed our week there. The location is excellent, overlooking the beach and the town. Whilst there are 4 rentals on the same property, we had no problems with parking or with even generally seeing the other guests. Once inside, everything was clean and well kept, with everything we needed. The barbecue and hot tub certainly saw some use as we relaxed watching the sunset. We would happily stay again if we return to the area. Finally, the service from the team and the correspondence was excellent making everything run very smoothly.

What a wonderful week we had. A spectacular house with an enviable view. Loved the refurbishment. Hot tub fabulous after body boarding and great to have hot outdoor shower. Woolacombe beach is great and we couldn’t have been closer to it. Local amenities great and even a very good seafood restaurant - the Beach House. Enjoyed a Sri Lankan Curry from the beach hut around the bay too. Wish we could have stayed another week. Top price but top quality and well worth it.
