Award-winning conversion of 18th century stables, giving 21st-century living in a beautiful building. Features include a log fire, exposed beams and wonderful farmland views with space to relax and unwind.
The Hayloft is accessed by a spiral staircase, with living space over two floors. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping up to 8 people plus infant(s).

This cottage has an open plan living area (dining room and kitchen) suitable for large gatherings. As such, this is one of two cottages for which ONLINE BOOKING IS NOT AVAILABLE but availability is shown. Please contact the owner to make a booking and to discuss any special requirements or requests. We will do all we can to help.

We had a fabulous family get together at Spixworth Cottages. The Hayloft was the perfect location for us all to meet at various points during the weekend, as the open plan living area easily accommodated a large group of 20. We were able to combine the tables so that we could all sit down and share a roast dinner together too. The cottage was a lovely space, which was clean and well stocked with crockery/cooking equipment. It had a lovely home from home feel with lovely views.

This is the fourth time we have started here. The hayloft is great value for money and is our favourite cottage. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. Our only complaint is that it does not allow service dogs which is very disappointing.
Great communication with staff and they really ensure you have everything you need. I cannot fault the level of customer service.
Will be returning next year to this great location.

We were a party of 15 this time renting 3 cottages (this one plus Swallows & Stables) which all exclusively shared the walled garden, This was absolutely perfect as we had a dog and a 2 year old - neither of which we wanted to escape! The barn & the outdoor pool were well used by our group and a few ventured to the hard tennis courts too! Various beaches are 35 - 45 minutes drive away so the fine weather meant we did some exploring too. Another great time had by all ....making memories! - A BIG thank you to Sheelah, Jack & Kim!

All ten of our combined family spanning four generations enjoyed another great stay at Spixworth Hall Cottages staying in Hayloft and Stables .We had a great time in the swimming pool and taking walks around the fields.

We stayed for 4 days and would have extended for the week if they had room!
The hayloft is a wonderful space and suited us, from grandma to an 18 month old and everything in between, the stairs are steep but once you’re up there’s plenty of room for all. Grounds are beautiful and filled with flowers creatures and bugs to explore. Jack and team were great hosts, putting in a cot and extra stair gate for us and she slept wonderfully in the quiet evenings!
Wifi and facilities in the games barn good enough to keep a tween happy. We had a bbq in the grounds on a sunny day under the tree for shade and close to Morrisons for any bits. Seaside and city a short drive and so much to for for families locally would certainly keep us busy for a week or more. Just magical, already planning our next trip, Thankyou for having us! Good value if fully occupied, we could have gone for a smaller space but were happy to be spoilt for space, will miss having breakfast over looking the stables with the little one, she is still saying “bye bye horse’”

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and Jack and Sheila were fantastic hosts, catering for all our needs and requests. The whole site, with the games room barn was great. We used the barn for line dancing which was ideal. We had 37 in the lounge/ dining area for a Buffett and Quiz night with plenty of room.

This is our 2nd booking at Spixworth Hall Cottages and would thoroughly recommend. Lovely countryside location but close to Norwich and other delights of Norfolk. The cottages are well equipped, very clean and comfortable and the hosts are friendly and will try and ensure any reasonable requests are implemented if possible.
The games room is brilliant if children are staying.
We hope to stay again when the heated outdoor swimming pool is open.

I rented Hayloft, Waterside, Stables and Granary for a family gathering and they couldn’t have been better. So comfortable, well equipped and thoughtfully laid out. Having the large reception room in the Hayloft was brilliant. People could come together but also have space to themselves if they wished.

The conversion is beautifully and tastefully done and the setting lovely. The games room was an added bonus and really helpful for uniting the generations!

Communication with the owners was always friendly and helpful.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these cottages and would love to return some day. Thank you.

We have stayed at the cottages before so already knew that the grounds, facilities and customer service would be excellent. We hadn't seen the Hayloft before though and were very pleasantly surprised. The layout and views were amazing. We'll definitely be back!

We rented Stables, Swallows and Hayloft cottages at Spixworth Hall for our family gathering. The accommodation was perfect to fit our 22 strong party with room in the Hayloft for us all to sit down to eat together. The lovely walled garden was brilliant for the children to play in safety and with the games barn just outside there was always plenty to do. Sheelah and her team prepared the cottages to suit our party and made sure that our stay at Spixworth was just perfect.

We first stayed at Spixworth Hall in February 2019 and always wanted to return. The location is great for exploring Norfolk and visiting Norwich but is also a peaceful base for walks and wildlife. The different apartments are interesting and comfortable. We've always found the hosts friendly and helpful, both by email and in person. Thank you!

This was our second time visiting spixworth cottages and we weren’t disappointed.
We had such a fantastic stay again.
The cottages are just perfect.
We stayed in hayloft and waterside cottages.
Both cottages are very large giving you plenty of space with all the facilities you need for a very comfortable stay.
The heated outdoor pool which is a 10minute walk away was a wonderful perk especially when we had such beautiful weather.
We will definitely be returning again

Fabulous location, with wonderful views and farmland and woodland walks. Great facilities for visitors, very comfortable and charming cottages...(and I have holidayed in all of them over the years) a marvellous place to stay and a really helpful hostess, Sheelah Cook.
On the edge of Norwich, 30 mins to the beautiful North Norfolk coast....beaches, creeks, RSPB and nature reserves, gardens, National Trust places...everything for everyone. Spixworth Hall Cottages are my favourite places to stay and as always, my stay was too short.
