We had an excellent time! House is perfect, well equipped and a lovely location! Communication was excellent and all our needs were catered for!
Excellent kitchen and each living space had enough seats for all 10 people!
Beds were comfy and the house was very clean!
The garden is so lovely! Have a fabulous stay! You won’t be disappointed x

What a wonderful find! The Oaks was everything we could hope for and more, for a relaxing long weekend with friends. I was congratulated on numerous occasions on having found the property and how marvellous it was! Amazing setting with the extensive views, the peace and quiet only disturbed by the occasional horse rider or mountain biker coming off the Mynd. The house was extremely well equipped as we catered for ourselves, we even had a go at using the aga! Lovely bedrooms, comfy and beautifully furnished as was the rest of the house. It certainly didn’t feel like a holiday rental more like someone’s tastefully furnished home.
Definitely want to return!

We could not find fault with The Oaks. What a stunning house - spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and with views to die for.
8 life long friends had plenty of space to live, love and laugh together and the hot tub recommendation was both great value and well used.
We will definitely be back and hopefully next time the recycling will be sorted as we felt very uncomfortable throwing it all in one bin

The only problem with this property is it was so nice we hardly left it, we felt so relaxed and comfortable we only ventured out a few times. We had a large group of kids who loved the swings in the garden, they enjoyed it. The views are spectacular and the walks from the house were lovely

This was the ideal house in a beautiful setting for our overdue family holiday. There was ample room for a large family both indoors and outside. The weather was kind to us but had it not been the games room and TV facility would have kept the family entertained. Charles at Staycation could not have been more helpful and professional. We’ll definitely use the company again.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Oaks and we loved it even more this time! We enjoyed the stunning views and the amazing walks from the gate onto the National Trust Long Mynd estate with our dog. The house was lovely and warm inside, and outside we spent hours around the firepit making smores and catching up on news. For leisure, we had the snooker on the TV, card games in the conservatory, runs from the front door, a scavenger hunt and quiz. Topped off by big meals cooked on the AGA and take outs from Ludlow Brewery. Perfick.

How wonderful to wake up to such fabulous views and be able to walk for miles from the house. We really enjoyed the local area, horseriding near Shrewsbury, Ludlow and the castle including Greens cafe outside. Carding Mill Valley was a brilliant day out and we mostly enjoyed walking from the house. A brilliant stay, lovely welcome hamper, beautiful views and very comfortable house. Thank-you!

The Oakes is a beautiful home so very comfortable. Log fire every night and the warmth of the huge Aga. A very relaxing break.
