A beautifully maintained and delightfully decorated farmhouse. Everything in working order and all bedrooms equal in size and comfort. A big group of siblings and partners we enjoyed a wonderful holiday. Excellent location and welcome from the estate housekeeper. The welcome pack was generous and useful.
Very cosy cottage, ideal for a couple. It is very quiet, and yet very near the centre of Bakewell. We found the restaurant (The Woodyard) nearby, extremely good. Will certainly book again next time we’re in the area.
What a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family. Amazing facilities and views. Lots of space for everyone to relax.
We had a wonderful time away, the yurts were well equipped and we had everything we needed. Charlie and his team were super helpful.
We absolutely adore staying at this beautiful property, the Lodge is stunning, it is beautifully furnished and we always feel instantly at home. Booking communications are just excellent, I can highly recommend staying and will most definitely be booking again.
The Dower House is in an excellent location for visiting the Peak District and Chatsworth. the house itself is clean, tidy and comfortable, We loved the log fire and the farm across the road where you are able to buy eggs, milk and wood. Make sure you visit the Packhorse Inn, Lower Longstone, during your stay. Superb communication and immediate assistance when we requested assistance with a very small matter.
Beautiful, perfect location just wish we could have got in earlier than 5pm; didn't want to leave, staff on site brilliant and so helpful, we will be coming again
We had a fantastic family Christmas , lovely house with amazing views. A lovely area of the country with plenty of places to visit. Kevin was brilliant with us, really kind and helpful nothing was too much trouble for him
This place was absolutely beautiful. Very clean, very welcoming and very bright. 100% would recommend.
We had a lovely week in this ancient, but brilliantly renovated cottage. Clean, cosy, but spacious, with a lovely log burner. Nothing about it was poky, and although there was only one room downstairs it was modern, and open plan, and we felt that we had masses of space - a family of four, plus dogs ! Perfect, sheltered garden, wonderful views, and within 5 mins of Leominster, and Bromyard - not much further to Hereford and Ludlow, although we headed to the hills of Kington, and Offas Dyke. Good beds, linen, and a comprehensive hamper with lots of local bits and bobs. Pub doing takaway food ju...more
Fruitpip was a very comfortable cottage providing us with easy access to Bakewell, Chatsworth and the wonderful Lathkill Dale. It was the perfect location to base all the walks from Haddon Farm. Despite initial teething trouble in using the induction oven ( quick learning ), the kitchen was adequately equipped for the two of us. After a long walk each day, the power shower in the bathroom was just perfect. And of course there was the heated pool, again a pleasant addition to relax the tired muscles after a long walk. We loved our stay at Fruitpip and will recommend it to anybody looking for ...more
A fantastic and very reasonably priced venue for a group of 22 friends and work colleagues to relax.
The cottage owners were very helpfull We had 4 nights of complete luxury Very well furnished bathroom was brilliant farm paths with the dogs were well marked out We will be back
We just love this place, every last detail has been thought about.. though there are five lodges you are not aware of the four around you as they are all screened for privacy. Great Jon staycation
The Bothy is a well equipped, modern cottage for 2 in a tranquil setting south of Bath. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. Being easily accessible & close to Bath Park & Ride, the Bothy was ideally located for sight seeing Bath itself & areas beyond.
We had a lovely long weekend staying Lower Curscombe Barn, we booked both parts of the barn which gave us lots of space for an extended family holiday. Very well equipped kitchen, everything you need for a relaxing peaceful escape. We particularly benefited from walking our dogs in the fields around the barn thanks to the owner letting us know where we could go. The welcome hamper was very generous with plenty of milk and wine in the fridge and more eggs than we could eat. Would not hesitate to recommend! Many thanks
We needed a few days away for a mini honeymoon. We came across this place and it was perfect. We loved the welcome hamper of coffee, tea, jam, cereal etc... Was so peaceful and would come back anytime!
Whole family had a great stay - a lovely, warm and cosy Farmhouse. Great pool - very warm and pleasant. Played table tennis too! Tranquil location and beautiful this time of year. Did the Monsal Trail Parkrun on Saturday - lovely and flat! Also did the annual Santa Dash in Longmills on Saturday. Ate at the Packhorse Sunday lunchtime - lots of choices including traditional roast and rather delicious puds.
House is situated in a really peaceful setting. House is Beautiful, Modern & Clean, no issues whilst there. I would suggest the hot tub is moved under shelter during the winter. Also no cork screw which was strange as there is a wine fridge.
Our first impressions of the lodge when we arrived did not falter throughout our stay! Such spacious accommodation and so relaxing, dog friendly indeed! The men enjoyed the fishing, the ladies and the men and the two dogs enjoyed the walks! It took me a while to work out the hob but that’s just me! Lovely bathrooms, and about pristine! Just a couple of small things that I think would improve the stay would be a better recycle system, I hated not separating everything apart from glass! One or two dog poo bins and for the anglers maybe some different species of fish in the lake apart from ten...more
This house was perfect for a family get together after so long. Location, facilities all amazing. Cant recommend highly enough.
The incredible welcome started before we even arrived, with excellent communication from the owner before our stay and on the day of our arrival. Charles is really friendly and knowledgeable - he always made time to answer all our questions and give us superb recommendations about where to go and eat. The yurts are beautiful and comfortable. As a family of 5, there was plenty of room for us all and our bags etc. The children loved the fire pit (we had some great barbecues and toasted marshmallows at night!). Plenty of shops around (we went to Morrisons) to stock up on food and restaurants when...more
Just perfect. Large barn conversion. Beautifully decorated, lots of space for large families/ friend groups. Very well equipped, more kitchen utensils than I have at home! We were made to feel very welcome by the owner. Very warm with under floor heating and a log burner. Lovely garden which was enclosed so safe for the children.
Thank you Kevin for a wonderful stay. As ever, you are so accommodating and friendly. We loved the cosiness, the wonderful views across the lake in autumn/winter, and the tranquillity. We even spotted a kingfisher! We loved Cirencester, and a circular South Cerney walk in the sun. This is our favourite hideaway by far.
What a wonderful find! The Oaks was everything we could hope for and more, for a relaxing long weekend with friends. I was congratulated on numerous occasions on having found the property and how marvellous it was! Amazing setting with the extensive views, the peace and quiet only disturbed by the occasional horse rider or mountain biker coming off the Mynd. The house was extremely well equipped as we catered for ourselves, we even had a go at using the aga! Lovely bedrooms, comfy and beautifully furnished as was the rest of the house. It certainly didn’t feel like a holiday rental more like s...more
We stayed at Wood View Barn as a group of 15 friends. The house was great with excellent technology options (TV, audio and cinema room) - ideal for watching the World Cup Football! It was also very clean and comfortably furnished. Sadly, the outdoor pool/games room was not heated so this was not usable in cold weather. The letting team were however very helpful and responsive. Overall, very pleased.
Four siblings getting together without kids or other halves - bliss! Just time to catch up; to swim in the gorgeously warm pool, play board games in the wonderfully snug living area; walk Lathkill Dale (both ways!); visit Bakewell and stock up on puddings; and sleep like kings and queens in the wonderfully comfy beds. We ate out one night at the Packhorse Inn in Little Longstone, lovely place, staff and food - highly recommend.
Well appointed property that was clean & tidy with plenty of small features, such as utensils, cutlery, soap and towels. Nice & quiet location yet convenient for travelling to many tourist sights and the local town and shops. If there was anything to mention that required attention, it would be that a couple of items of equipment and decor required fixing, such as the loose toilet button flush downstairs & one of the electrical sockets being unserviceable in the kitchen. Otherwise, we would be happy to visit again & would recommend it to others.
An immaculate cottage situated in the heart of Deal town. We booked this for a few nights away after our wedding and were very impressed with how clean, tidy and cosy the cottage is. It has a log burning fire which was perfect for the winter evenings. Parking available within 5 minutes of the property, free of charge. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a base to explore Deal and the surrounding areas.
This was our second stay at Rosevean House which we loved just as much as the first time we stayed. Perfect for bringing our extended family together for a week and a great location to access all the lovely areas of St. Agnes - including great walks, easy access to the beach as well as bars and restaurants. The property is beautifully kitted out with everything you need for a relaxing and super comfortable stay with a larger group with plenty of break out spaces for various ages to enjoy - the games and garden areas are always a big plus! Thanks for a wonderful stay and look forward to se...more
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at St. Corantyn Cottage, Spring Water Barns, on the Bonython Estate. It provided us with a charming, comfortable & civilised base from which to explore S. Cornwall.
We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful location, much helped by the weather. The Lodge was clean, easy to find and in a great location - close to all the Lakes with an excellent Lakeside Bar a few doors away. Food here was amazing as was the atmosphere. We enjoyed sitting on the decking and watching the water sports activity along with using the spot to explore and of course get on the water. The lodge whilst spotlessly clean is one of the older looking properties. Many neighbouring properties appeared to have been refurbished, whilst on the decking here some wood clearly needed replacin...more
The house is superb and it feels so spotless and clean on arrival. Its in a lovely quiet location. Its so very welcoming and certainly lives up to its write up. Scones and bubbly on arrival The living room is so spacious and the kitchen area is great for cooking and eating. It has all the amenities that you would expect from this type of rental. Good size fridge which I find so disappointing in so many homes. The bedrooms are all of a very good size and bathrooms are so clean and modern. The master suite is stunning. Beds are very comfy and towels so fluffy. I would thoroughly recomme...more
Lovely group of cottages in beautiful countryside. Well kitted out, clean and warm. We really enjoyed the swimming pool which is a lovely temperature, along with the table tennis and small pool table. We would love to stay again, maybe with a large family group. Dog friendly too
Great location. Very pleasant hosts and very well priced. Nice little extra comforts and great tourist and history info. Thoroughly Most enjoyable stay.
Spent the weekend here with 14 friends for a 30th birthday. Overall it was a great location and provided plenty of space for us all. We expected 5 star facilities but.. - The sound system didn’t work all weekend. - The electric shower was broken and either boiling hot or freezing cold. - The extractor fan in the kitchen didn’t work, so the whole place smelt of cooking. - the wifi and tv system was average at best, taking the best past of 2 hours and multiple phone calls to get the World Cup to work. We were told to expect a call from the owner to help fix some of these issu...more
We had a lovely stay at Twitchers lodge, the location is amazing. However the accommodation is a little tired, the furniture has changed since the photos were taken and the inside needs a bit of TLC particularly the downstairs shower which needs a good bleach. There were only 3 champagne flutes, not ideal when a group of 4 is staying for a 60th celebration! Generally the crockery is a bit tired too with a few cracks and chips and some items of cutlery a bit sparse. One of the chairs on the terrace is also broken. These small things didn’t impact our stay particularly, but when marketing th...more
This a very smart home, and designed for family fun. The swimming pool is heated to 30deg. and is a great attraction. The hardcourt tennis is full size and another bonus. The large gardens are beautiful and the walled garden doubles as a croquet lawn. There are bikes, football, table tennis and DVD player. If you are an active bunch then it’s easy to spend a week here. There is a lot to enjoy. The property is managed by Vicky and her team who are nearby and very responsive and make sure it’s pristine on arrival. It’s a family house though, and there are lots of memorabilia around which gi...more
Stayed for a week the location is fabulous and the view from the house is beautiful with the open plan living we will definitely be returning
Very comfortable stay in lovely convented barn, pictures probably don't do it justice. Some "rickety" furniture and perhaps could do with more outside furniture to enjoy the lovely garden for when it does stop raining
We had a very enjoyable break at Burrows, Easter decorations and delicious treats to eat and drink made us feel very welcome. The accommodation is very comfortable, beautifully furnished to a very high standard and well supplied with all that is needed for a stay away from home. The location is excellent, countryside walks are accessible without the need to drive anywhere. The hot-tub is a lovely facility to enjoy, though it would be most helpful if the (agreeably necessary) inspection could be carried out on a schedule of which the client is aware, rather than by random unannounced visits to...more
We enjoyed our stay at Swan Lake Lodge. There was a couple of small items missing from the kitchen that would have been useful : slotted spoon/potato peeler and corkscrew. The tumble dryer element of the washing machine doesn’t work which wasn’t ideal as we had a number of rainy days. The view is lovely and the apartment is spacious . The owner was easily and quickly contacted when we didn’t have the WiFi code. All in all it was a good choice and we very much enjoyed our week.
We enjoyed our time at Pippinwell. It is a nice cottage and for us well positioned for what we wanted (mix of walking / cycling).
