We expected less for the price we paid. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The location was perfect for the experiences we had planned. Had we been staying longer a more comfortable bed would have been appreciated.

River Edge Lodges never fails to disappoint. It was strange without the kids around this time, but a great time away with amazing views and a fab and friendly reception. We'll be back.

This was our second stay at Riversedge. Park is lovely, lodgevwas excel, we really only ate there once or twice. Every utensil we required was available. Lodge is confortable handy for access to Perth, Dundee Edinburgh or Glasgow and further afield. Fife and Perthshire are on the doorstep with all that they have to offer, History, walks, fishing, golf or which ever. They are all on the doorstep lovely setting.

We chose the location as it is a good place for visiting most areas in southern Scotland. The bonus is the lodges are fully equipped spotlessly clean and in well tended grounds. Lots of grass and close to local amenities and not too far from central Perth. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this site to others. Customer service was also very good

We stayed for 1 week while attending The Open golf in St. Andrews and generally exploring the area. A perfect base for us. Being able to walk to the village for shopping and eating out was great.
Our cabin had everything we needed and was generally in good working order. Functional rather than fancy, but all comfortable.
Easy booking, great communication, nice ambience, and excellent service when we did have a very minor issue with a misbehaving can opener.

The accommodation is perfect for a home from home stay. The chalet was extremely clean and well kept and had everything we needed. The hosts are lovely and the village has a great selection of shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend River Edge Lodges.

We spent a week in Elcho Lodge this time just as the dark nights had fully started...
The starry skies are something else here, there was not a cloud in the sky for a full week of our visit.
The lodge itself was spotless, fully furnished, and is really a home from home (even with a washing machine if you like to do washings on holiday). Everything you need is here. Lovely muted colours in the full lodge, open plan and a lovely seated area on the decking outside. Plenty of storage space in all rooms, Wi-Fi and very importantly, a good iron also here..
Outside is fab...we had breakfast out there every day of the week. A large table and chairs just outside the living room window, you can sit and watch the goats and chickens that live there, as well as catching some beautiful views of the river edge and trees that surround the lodges...And it is so quiet. Even though the village main street is just round the corner you hardly hear a sound coming from it. Absolute bliss.
Back to the goats....you can feed them.. they are lovely (and not too big or scarey) and they can see you when you're sitting outside Elcho.. the chickens cluck round about when you're over seeing their goaty pals lol ..
Mary and John from the lodges are there on hand if you need them but everything you need is really sent to you beforehand or left for when you arrive..
As you can probably tell, we had a great time and Elcho Lodge is so comfortable to stay in. We always recommend River Edge Lodges for a holiday.... the lodges, area and hosts.. are all great and when you go, you'll have a brilliant time :)

Really enjoyed our short break at the lodges. Setting is lovely. Looking out onto the goats playfighting in the morning was great. Everything you need for food/drink is within a 2 minute walk and if you want to jump in the car its an ideal location for going anywhere. Special mention to Mary, who was so helpful with all of our needs. The perfect host. Thank you!

I can't recommend the lodges enough! We were on a 5 night stay with our 1 year old daughter and it had everything we needed. Added bonus of goats and chickens on sight that she was obsessed with morning&night. The outdoor space in front of the lodge, inc. Picnic benches and slide/activity gym were perfect for her to let off some steam and meant we could enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location is great for easy access to surrounding Perthshire, Dundee, St.Andrews etc. The lodge was nice and clean and had everything we needed, making for a really homely stay. Already looking to book our next stay!

The weather was very kind during my short stay at the lodge and the grassy area provided a lovely view from the verandah. The whole complex was immaculate and hanging baskets of flowers were appearing. There is some noise from the main road and the railway but the main sound is birdsong. Every piece of equipment worked and the heating was quick to make the lodge cosy on the two evenings when the outside temperature dropped.
The customer service was slightly reduced because of Covid procedures but my initial conversation with Mary McKay made me feel very welcome.
If you don't have a car the gravel parking area makes a very fine boules pitch and if you're a wild swimmer there is easy access to the river Earn!

We spent a lovely few days here to visit our family nearby.
The lodge was very comfortable- good seating and bed - with everything in the kitchen you need for a holiday.
It has a lovely veranda for eating outside or sunning yourself. Good running around space with some play equipment for our Grandchildren but the best entertainment were trees loaded with cherries and friendly goats! There are even red squirrels !
A lovely place- we will certainly return.

First time we have been to River Edge Lodges and I can say it will not be our last. Had a wonderful stay in the Elcho lodge which was clean and comfortable. The site is well kept and location great. Bridge of Earn has sufficent for a stay with a Co-op close by and two great pubs within 5 minutes walk.

My 4yr old daughter and I stayed at River Edges Lodges this year for the second time. As always the accommodation was decorated lovely and very clean! We had a great three nights stay in this excellent lodge, wish it could have been longer. The lodge is bright, spacious, furnished with thought and comfort in mind. It ticked all the boxes for us with everything in the lodge top quality. We enjoyed being close to the amenities in the village. A few minutes walk to a well stocked small Co-op, pubs and eateries. A half hourly bus ride takes you into the centre of Perth if you don’t want to use the car but if you do there are lots of interesting places to visit. The owners were so helpful and friendly many thanks to you both. And the big treat was we enjoyed a cuppa on the veranda one morning when the sun came out. Not bad for 2nd Feb!

Very nice lodges - didn't stay in the Elcho as planned as they were working in it but was given a two bedroom lodge instead. Very comfortable and well equipped. Coin meter for electricity set at a fair price so very reasonable. Great location. Well kept grounds. Owners Mary and John very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

The cabins are in a beatiful setting, and have everything you need within, great hosts who are most helpful, ideal place for a short relaxing break.

Another well earned break at river edge lodges everything is so peace full here. We ha've been coming for over twenty years first of all with our children and now with our grandson. My daughter still comes in the summer with us. Lodges are lovely and clean and very cosy. Over the years we have been in them all and everyone has the same standard. Mary and John are lovely and help full. Looking forward to July.

We had a brilliant long weekend at River Edge Lodges; getting an upgrade to a bigger lodge on arrival :) The lodge was cosy, comfortable and a perfect base to return to after a day exploring! The grounds are so well kept; a great place for our boys to run about and use up their energy, they really enjoyed the slides! and the animals who happily ate breakfast scraps! Mary was really lovely, friendly and so helpful! A long weekend was simply not long enough - we will be back one day ..... when I pluck up enough courage to tackle the M90 again!! :)

The lodge was comfortable and homely, Mary and John could not have been more helpful, the grandchildren played safely and happily, all of our questions were answered, and the sun shone. What more could anyone ask for? We've already booked again for next year, year four! Fantastic!

We had such a lovely Easter weekend staying in elcho lodge. Beautiful lodge, beautiful surroundings and the goats and chickens just added to the countryside feel. An awesome time was had by all. X

We are very satisfied with our stay at River Edge Lodges. We really felt as if we were at a holiday home of our own. Both Dan and Mary were very kind and friendly to us. If we.go to Perth again we will surely choose River Edge Lodges for our stay again.

Sheltered site, well kept green areas. Elcho Lodge has a well equipped kitchen area and comfortable lounge. Ideal location for guests of all ages. Owners, John and Mary, are charming - a lovely helpful and friendly couple who, together, aim to provide every facility that guests could possibly need to ensure a happy and relaxing holiday break. Our first, but definitely not our last stay at River Edge Lodges.

We had 4 family units traveling from France and the US and meeting in Scotland for a vacation. We had heard of River Edge Lodge through a recommendation and we are very happy we chose to stay with them. We were looking for accommodations that would allow us to travel on day trips and have a home base where we could reconvene in the evenings and eat together and plan the next day's travels. The River Edge Lodge was the perfect choice for us. Centrally located in a small community with easy and convenient stores within walking distance and cabins large enough to allow us to prepare meals and eat together was ideal. The owners are wonderfully nice people who work hard to make your stay memorable and are more than willing to give ideas on off-the-beaten-path destinations and help in any way. When we go back to Scotland we'll def be staying here again!
