We have just returned from 5 wonderful days at River Edge Lodges (lodge 5). We received a very comprehensive welcoming pack via email, a week before arrival. Mary has taken a lot of time and trouble with the contents, listing public transport, places to eat, pubs, museums, walks and even lists the phone numbers for the various places (where applicable). On arrival everything was spotlessly clean. The lodge was superbly equipped. All we needed to provide was our personal effects and food. We had nice(ish) weather, which always helps. Everything was 5 stars, the location , the chalet and the owners who were very helpful and friendly . We had a great three weeks there
The lodges are beautifully set up and within easy walking distance to the village, which was incredibly convenient. What really stood out to us was the incredible attention to detail—everything you could possibly need was provided for us, right down to the washing detergent for the washing machine and washing-up liquid. a beautiful little playground for the kids. The owners, Mary and John, were so helpful and welcoming; absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. We have been coming to Scotland (its beautiful and nice people)every few years for vacationing ,many times. This time we had quite a bit of bad luck (hotel cancellations without notifying and flight cancellations and delays ,car rentals that were all set then gave us trouble ,hotels that were not unlocked for hours after check in time) But EVERYONE at the RiIVERS EDGE were simply WONDERFUL! The place is BEAUTIFUL! Rivers Edge is one of the few good memories we returned from vacation with.
Second visit, lodges very clean with almost everything you need. Owners attentive, checking that you are happy. Good base for getting out and about in local area
Lovely cottage, greatly located for visiting Perth and Fife peninsula. Well equiped and cosy place, with kids games allowing them to play outside safely.
Visiting family in Fife this is our favourite bolthole by far. Excellent location (scenery, convenience), superb hosts.
Nice location for places to visit. Over all a nice place to be and lovely people that run river ridge lodges. We have been going back for the last 20 years plus.
Really nice location with lots to do in the area. Lodge is great with all amenities you'd need. Good space outside with some nice goats to visit on the site Owners were lovely, very helpful and good communication.
