This was the second time that I stayed there, and it was every bit as good as last time. The cottage is quiet, homely and warm with the great advantage that, unlike so many places, you can control the heating. This along with the very efficient log burner, is a big plus in the winter. Everything about the place is comforatble - Egyptian cotton bed linen on the most comforatble beds, big sofas to collapse into and great showers and towels. Highly recommended.
It was a wonderful surprise when we arrived there! The apartment was spacious and very tidy. The kitchen was very well equipped and we even had some food and beverage to start our stay. Everything was very well organized with the customer service first and then the guide and explanations on the house. The Director Kirsteen was very helpful. We would definitely recommend Lindsay House (very close to the center of Stirling too). A warm welcome in Scotland as usual! What a nice country and people you have!
We had a wonderful stay at the house. It is very spacious, with plenty of room for our group of seven adults. Restaurants, supermarket and the beautiful castle Campbell within walking distance. The place is fully equipped with everything you need: dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The beds were comfortable, though the duvets were a bit too warm for the season. With three bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen (including a stocked fridge with milk and eggs), we really couldn’t complain. After returning home, there was some discussion about an alleged damage issue, but thankfully this was...more
Everything about this apartment was excellent, it was in very good condition, great location and very comfortable.
We had a wonderful time at Ionia House in Stirling. The house has all the amenities we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable! We truly enjoyed exploring Stirling while we were there.
Excellent location for non driving visitors. Wonderful welcome from host. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay.
Booked again for my colleagues working in the area. They like to stay here and so have booked again. Thank you for looking after us as always.
Thank you for allowing me to stay. Julie was very helpful and pleasant during my time at Higginsneuk. The area is beautiful, peaceful and calm, I would definitely stay there again.
I booked for my colleagues as Stirling Self Catering always provide a great place for them to stay and always look after us. Highly recommend,
My family spent a week at St Michael's. The house is in an excellent location for the local attractions - just 40 mins from Loch Lomond and 15 minutes by car to Stirling. The view from the house was stunning and the house was very comfortable, spacious and clean.
Information regarding the property needs updating in electronic folder and hard copy. The oven instructions don’t relate to the model installed. The thermostat is not on a wall but is wi fi controlled from a unit on a table. Crockery, cutlery and glasses are sparse, barely adequate. The information folder invites you to contact the owner if assistance needed, however when contacted was abrasive and abrupt. Directions to the apartment could be clearer. On a positive note, the rooms excluding the kitchen area were very spacious and comfortable.
This is a warm and cozy cottage with all the comforts of home. Although it feels way out in the country with fields surrounding the property it actually only minutes away from Historic Falkirk, shops and motorways. It was a surprise to hear the neighbors upstairs from the adjoining property however it didn't detract from enjoying our stay.
A well located clean and comfortable property let down by poor/ non- existent broadband - despite prompt and best efforts of property supervisor. This meant the tv was also unavailable at times. The sink plug in the shower room did not work nor did 2 of the lights. Lack of any wardrobe space was surprising but manageable. On street parking was not always straightforward but overall an enjoyable stay.
The location is lovely and the cottage spacious. We did receive a call from Carole just after we arrived to check we'd settled in. However, for the amount we paid, I was a bit surprised to find a full, if clean, dishwasher to empty on arrival. Some of the kitchen equipment, bins were broken or had seen better days. The dishwasher tablets had obviously got wet at some point and left in a congealed mess. Whilst there were online instructions, there was nothing to explain the sky box or how to adjust the heating as the cottage was a little cold. The sofa and chairs in the lounge sank almost to t...more
