The Coach House is a comfortable, well equipped house in the quiet village of St Fillans. The beds were comfortable, there was a log burner for the cooler evenings and electric heating throughout. There's a big enclosed garden which our dog thoroughly enjoyed, and a covered area where you can store kayaks, etc.

It sits right on Loch Earn with its own private area of loch side land which is perfect for those, like us, with kayaks and SUPs. You just need to cross the road - which fortunately isn't that busy for an A road - to get on the loch side.

One thing which caught us out is the private dock. It's not clear from the photos provided that there isn't easy access onto the dock - you have to paddle in the loch and climb up onto it. The rocks by the dock are quite slippy, and it's a good way up so not easy for children or those with restricted mobility.

Overall we had a fantastic time, but it seems such a shame the dock hasn't got a ramp up to make it accessible like others nearby.
