The location was great and the cabin was well stocked. the care takers onsite were lovely and very attentive. the cabin was clean on the surface but no one had swept under the beds in years. the space was good for children to run around in. we found it impossible to reach their billings department for payment and to change dates, extremely unresponsive. there was a smell of sewage while we were there.

Many aspects of the lodge were good such as bedding and towels and lovely thick curtains. The lodge was comfortable and in lovely location although much closer to other lodges than suggested in online photos. Unfortunately there were no instructions provided which resulted in much wasted time and I twice rang up for assistance and left a message as the phone was not answered but never received any response.
Considering it was a lodge for six people (we were grateful for the upgrade) there was only space to hang two towels in the bathroom. Sadly the wardrobes were dirty - I had to buy some cleaning spray before using the handles they were so dirty.
There was plenty of hot water and plenty of power sockets although not all in best position. Some ot the furntiure was rather tired.
on our first evening we burnt our dinner as we had trouble with the oven because the symbols on the oven knob were totally worn away..
I do not like to complain but feel these matters should be raised.

These lodges are a short car journey from the town of Oban, where there are ample amenities such as restaurants, shops and supermarkets. So whether you choose to dine out or buy in and cook in the lodge, there is everything you need. Situated in a peaceful location, the lodges are well equipped. In addition, there is an onsite laundry.
The hosts are onsite and very helpful with any questions that you might have.

Das ist unser Traumziel. Mitten in der Natur mit weitem Blick über die Highlands.
Die Lodge hat alles für einen genussvollen Aufenthalt.
Hier kann man sich prima erden und in Einklang mit der Natur bringen.
Mit dem Auto sind es nur wenige Minuten bis Oban, wenn man Mal in den Trubel einer charmanten Hafenstadt eintauchen möchte.

Had a lovely stay at Lagnakeil Highland Lodges.Wonderful to see the stars and moon at night,seeing all the different birds and listening to their songsExtremely peaceful .The lodge was comfortable ,the only thing was the toilet was slow to fill up for flushing.
I expect this would be a very different experience when all the lodges are in use ,we seemed to be the only people ,I think perhaps the season hadn't begun .Ifi was to go again I would definitely want lodge number3.
I gave the condition a 3because it was a bit shabby on the outside .

Before arriving, we received an email confirming our stay with all the information we needed, which was great. We also received a text telling us we could access the lodge early on the day of arrival which was a great bonus. Loved the location of the lodge and really felt like we were completely immersed in the gorgeous scenery. The lodge was well equipped and warm and cosy. The fact that the lodge was dog friendly was a huge bonus for us. We will definitely be returning.

We booked based on images from the website of unbroken views of the valley and very spacious interiors. Instead when we arrived we were crowded in behind many other chalets that blocked our view and we were overlooked from almost every angle. The living space was cramped and the furniture cheap and dated. It's clear that this whole park needs updating and redesigning. We didn't see a member of staff throughout our stay and when I rang to express our disappointment and to say we were leaving early I got an answerphone. Nobody bothered calling back. We do not recommend this place for a holiday.

We booked this lodge for a weekend in August 2022. The lodge itself was very clean, very well equipped and ideally suited to what we were looking for. The site is well maintained, out in the country but convenient for Oban and the lodge itself was probably in the best situation on site with amazing views. All in all I would highly recommend Lagnakeil for a short break.

The lodge was clean and well located. Lots of walks around and only a 7 min drive from Oban. The beds were comfy enough and the duvets and linen good quality. However, it could do with some improvement. Heaters half falling off, multiple burn marks on the kitchen counter. We would say that a shower curtain, under counter fridge and one bathroom/toilet for a 6 sleeper is not "luxury" as described and not really workable for a large family either. Pots and pans were tiny and difficult to cook enough food with, that and the small fridge made "self-catering" challenging.

We stayed at Lagnakeil Lodges so that we could visit the Highland Titles reserve. The lodges are perfectly located, really close to Oban and our own destination. The park itself is beautifully located, the view from our cottage was close to perfection. The cottage itself was great as well, comfortable beds and good facilities as well. Above all else, the owners are amazing people as well. Always in for a joke, telling us about the region, but they were there when we absolutely needed help and cared so much about how our mother was doing. We are truly grateful to them and will definitely visit again!

We had a short, 4 night, stay at Lagnakeil but our 2 children didn't want to leave. There's a small assault course set up on the grassy area and it was perfect for them to play on. We didn't discover any walks from the cabin, without hsving to walk on the roads, which aren't particularly busy but are single track, that said we did do a stunning walk through hills and glens down to a loch and we found a short, 10 minute walk, that lead us to the Barn restaurant, which we would all thoroughly enjoyed. We'll definitely be back as it was a perfect base for venturing further afield without having to stay in Oban itself.

Lovely log cabins , in a cracking location, very handy for Oban, only 10 mins drive away, but it's still far enough out of town to make you feel like your so much more out in wilderness ! I
Lots to see and do in local area, we went Ganavan Sands beach in oban, & Easdale island , going over the historic " Bridge over the Atlantic " (only 25 minutes away) Great drive and brilliant views of the West coast of Scotland.
The cabins & the site is very well looked after.

Lovely cabin and very clean, great views, staying in 3 bed this time after staying in a 2 bed a few yrs ago… lovely soft furnishings comfy sofa and chairs .. lovely touches to interior… weather turned and yet staying inside was lovely and cosy.. handy location for Oban only 3 miles away.. would def stay again.. spent a day walking around Island of Kerrera and boys played endless games of pool in the games room.

Stayed for 2 nights.we arrived early evening, directions to our lodge clearly visible on the door of the reception. Parking available right out side the lodge. The view was amazing. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean, everything you could want in there ready. Instructions on from how to put the water on to if you needed a doctor, very useful. WiFi available password provided. Connection hit and miss but didn't need it so wasn't an issue. Rosin came to our lodge to make sure we had arrived safely which I thought was really nice of her to do. Really peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Great base to get to nearby places from. Took about 10 minutes to get into Oban and park from lodge. Had a great 2 nights there would definitely recommend and would book again.

My only real negative is that the condition of the cabin feels a bit tired and you can see where there have been obvious leaks in the ceiling before. The cabin could do with a bit of a make over. It didn't really impact on our stay though, just cosmetic.

Lagnakeil was perfect for our multi generational family holiday . The little park suited our 10 year old and the views were just superb. Any issues were quickly sorted and the site was quiet and tranquil and provided the change we needed. The lodge was basic but very clean and suited us fine. Wifi was a bit dodgy but I guess that’s country living. Would recommend and we are hoping to return. Thanks again - great first holiday in 2 years!

We were hugely disappointed with the lodge on our arrival. The reality was nothing like the website as it wasn’t at all the spacious place that seemed evident in the photographs or commensurate with the price we paid - nearly £1000 for a week. There was no welcome pack or basics in the lodge such as tea and sugar and we had to ask for additional cleaning materials. Conifer 5 overlooks the patios of a number of other lodges so there was no privacy. Weeds were evident right outside the steps to our decking. We had to pay £8 per night for our wee dog - for what? It stated in the rules for the property that dogs had to be kept on a lead and although we adhered to this no other guests did and this wasn’t policed. To be fair the lady manager tried to keep us happy when we complained and we were moved to Conifer 1 on the second day which had a much better view and slightly more privacy. We accepted this gesture and enjoyed our stay for the rest of the week but we won’t ever be back. It’s a real pity as it’s a lovely location and very handy for Oban. We don’t have an issue with the manager - she did try her best at least to a point - it’s the owners we are annoyed with - they are coining it in for very little input in terms of facilities and investment in the property.

Lodge was spotless and appeared to have been recently renovated. Beautiful position and scenery. We managed to get takeaway deliveries from Oban which was great. It’s a shame the Barn is only open at the weekend as we would have loved a short stroll for a pint but that can’t be blamed on the Lagnakeil owners.Our WiFi didn’t work and the television was very small and would have been nice to have a tv in one of the bedrooms.However, when you are on holiday in such a lovely setting then that all sounds a bit pathetic.Highly recommend and would definitely return.

This was a repeat visit (6th time). The site has been under new management the last twice. This visit it also has new care-takers (Roisin & can't remember hubbies name - soz).
There has been significant work done on the site and in the lodges making it even better. We were made to feel really welcome, even with social distancing.

The lodges are in a beautiful setting with stunning views. It feels as though you’re in the middle of nowhere but it’s only a quick drive in to Oban for the shops/restaurants there.
The barn is a nice local pub with good food near to the site.
The lodge we stayed in was cosy and well equipped. Comfy beds and it warmed up quickly when needed. The only criticism I would give is that the temperature dials have worn off the oven so we had to guess which made for nervous cooking.
We would definitely stay again, there’s plenty to do within an hours drive. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

The lodge/ cabin we were allocated showed no resemblance to the cabin on the web site that we had booked. When we went inside things got even worse. The fridge was rusty and when you opened it there was mould inside. The floor was very sticky and when we lifted the rug you could see how filthy the floor was. We were asked to turn up an hour later than normal due to covid and there property needing to have a deep clean. There is no way that had happened. The main window in the living area had blown obviously some time ago and damp was coming through and you could not see out of it. In one of the cupboard arears the ceiling has split and was falling down. We went to reception to complain but there was nobody there. We called the number were given and told there is nothing that can be done. If you are not happy take some pictures and put it in writing that you are not happy. I did take several pictures and have sent two e-mails but 7 weeks on I have not had a reply. It is a real shame as I am sure if you were lucky enough to have a lodge as the one described and shown on there website than it would be a lovely place to stay.

Sadly we were there under current restrictions so could not dine in anywhere with drinks however we had lovely weather for October and spent most time outside. Lovely views from lodge .

Nice location. Convenient for Oban, but out of town, so nice and quiet. Options for walks.
Oban is a good place for exploring different directions.
Lodges a bit closer together than expected. The lodge would probably feel a little confined with 6, even 4 adults & 2 children, (only 1 bathroom). We should have brought deck chairs for sitting out, but the picnic table is a good feature.

Lodge smaller than photos lead you to believe and are tired inside despite a coat of paint. Shower dreadful. Oven dirty. Decking treacherous. WiFi non existent. Much better quality accommodation out there for the price.

We stayed in conifer 2 which had a great view of the loch from the decking. The lodge was clean and well equipped the beds are very comfortable. The site is only 3 miles from Oban and Tesco Aldi etc are all located at this end of the town if needed. The barn restaurant is nearby and worth a visit or 2. We enjoyed our stay and would stay in the same lodge or conifer 3 agsin as it has the best views. I watched as that lodge was cleaned when occupoers left and was impressed by the thoroughness of the staff. One wee annoyance was we couldnt get the only DVD player they have as another couple were hogging it, so perhaps another couple of players being available or a daily booking system would be fairer. Another recomendation is dog friendly Lorne bar in Oban good value and very good covid cleaning practices.

We a brilliant time, location was amazing the lodge very tired Clean beds beautiful towels, dishwasher needs overhaul Had problems with condensation in bedroom it wet one of the beds as vent Was blocked but staff were on the ball and excellent service the carpet in the lounge was really dirty. We got off to a bad start as bedroom configuration was wrong but we were informed that it’s new owners and the old ones hadn’t informed the new of all details. After this it got better lodge is clean apart from carpet is tired and everything you need is there. Apart from the fact one of us stayed on the couch for the trip we would not have anything to complain about. So with this I’d quite happily come stay again

We had a lovely stay at the above lodge, great location, very helpful staff. Lodge was lovely and clean upon our arrival. The lodge was a little dated compared to the pictures, though great kitchen and cooking facilities. The toilet pressure was not great as you had to wait a long time for the cistern to refill so not ideal for 6 people. But overall we had a great holiday and would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately the lodges are very close together and overlooked. However, our lodge probably had the better view. Worth knowing that Conifer lodge 3 is right next to the children’s play area.
The furnishings were not as nice as pictured on the website, somewhat tired, particularly the bedroom furniture.
The kitchen was well equipped. I had to request tea towels as not provided. I would imagine a bottle of beer had been left in the ice box and exploded. It needed defrosting to remove the ‘beer ice’.
It would have been nice to have some information about recycling.
Went to the Barn Bar for a meal which was an easy walk up through the glen.
Ideal base for a few days visiting the west coast.

We had a good holiday in Oban enjoying the location and wide range of things to do in the area as a family. Friends had booked 2 other lodges and so our children had great fun exploring the site and playing outside together. The views from the lodges are beautiful, it is very peaceful and we enjoyed bike rides and walks around lagnakeil. We enjoyed walking to and eating at The Barn bar which was very good.
However we felt that the lodge was ‘basic’ and that for the price, £910 for a week, should have been better. It was mostly clean (although the bottom of the wardrobes were not) and comfortable but felt shabby and in need of a facelift to bring it into line with other lodges we have stayed in elsewhere.
A couple of things we really felt needed improving were:
1. Charging electricity on a meter. This felt very outdated and we think that this cost should be part of the rental. We disliked having to scrabble around for cash at the end of the holiday and work out the extra cost (whilst only £6). Why not incorporate this into the fees?
2. Laundry facilities. There is a coin operated laundry on site but it runs on a timer where you have to feed £1 coins in. Please consider making this a set price or putting machines in the lodges; we had to keep running back to the laundry to check the time and I had to put in another £1 for 10 mins for the cycle to complete as the money ran out before it had finished. The dryer took forever and we ended up with damp clothes strewn all over the lodge. We felt like we were on a campsite, not somewhere we had paid almost £1000 to stay at.
3. The water was undrinkable during our stay as it had been tested as unsafe. Two of our lodges had a safety notice about this but the third one did not and someone in that lodge drank the water before we realised. Some bottles of water were provided at the start of the week but after that we had to buy our own. We could not even use the water to clean our teeth it wash fruit. We feel that bottles of water should have been provided all week as this really was an inconvenience.
4. The games room - was dirty and untidy and the pool table did not work properly.
So overall, these lodges are a great base to explore the area around Oban but in a highly competitive market, they are overdue a facelift and need more modern systems in place regarding electricity/laundry etc to reflect the prices charged. If a few tweaks were made, they would be a great place for a holiday rather than an ok one.

Immaculately clean cabin in a fabulous setting. The little park out the front was great for the kids. The cabin had all we needed. A couple of bits looked a bit tired (work top) but otherwise great. The water is v brown. Some of the walks in the guest book are not accessible - the walk to the mast by Kilbride Kirk has a padlocked gate and the road to the marina has notices saying do not walk here. We had a fantastic time, the cabin had all we needed and we would definitely like to come and stay again one day! So quiet and very close to Oban, perfect!

We booked a 3 Bedroomed Conifer Lodge at Lagnakeil for 2 nights for a family meet up. We were two couples and my 94 year old Dad came out his Oban care home to join us for a wee break.
The lodge was spotlessly clean, fantastically equipped, very warm and cosy (a must for Dad), spacious to our needs and absolutely stunningly positioned with unspoilt views down to the loch.
The park the lodges are situated within is very well maintained and has lots of lovely extras within, like BBQ areas, children’s park items, etc.
It was the winter when we visited so we were limited with the weather but we will definitely return again.

My self and my family had 2 of the conifer lodges 6 and 7, we had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend the site, our older family members thought the journey was too long, but the kids thoroughly enjoyed their stay, hopefully we will be back some time soon, lodges seemed a wee bit dated but you can tell changes are being made. The barn pub is very cosy and friendly, All in All we had a great time.

Lodge was very clean and comfortable. Beautiful views and ideally situated for trips into Oban. Decking provided a lovely place to have breakfast, catch the sun and sit out in the evenings. We made use of the laundry facilities which are adequate. The children used the games room and loved the play area. They loved the freedom the site provides and we loved that they could play out and run around safely. We definitely recommend staying here!

Quiet and convenient, the chalets of Lagnakeil offer adequate facilities for families: safe play grounds away from the road, and a game room are much appreciated.
We had the chalet lodging six.
The sitting room is large and convivial. The bedrooms were OK but large enough for their beds, no more. The single bathroom includes WC, is small and vintage.
The staff is very kind and helpfull. Much appreciated. The proprietor lives in and is readily accessible.
All in all, no fundamental criticism, but not cheap either.

Lovely accommodation. Booked 4 different lodge to accommodate our family group. Very comfortable beds. Super view. So quiet - much appreciated by all our family group. Kitchen well provided - lots of crockery, cutlery, supply of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets which you usually have to source yourself.

This is our 4th year at the lodges. There was 9 of us this year. It is a very relaxing, chilled break.
What we did notice was that work is ongoing in updating/replacing outdoor seating and indoor sofa's and chairs.
Always spotless, bed very comfortable. Will defo be back next year.
Would recommend the Barn for a meal - outstanding.

Everything about the lodge was great, any questions we had were answered quickly and the reception was very friendly. We had incredibly stormy weather while we were there, but we didn't hear most of it during the night in the lodges, meaning we could sleep safe and soundly. The kitchen has everything you need to cook (except the food, you have to bring that yourself, of course) and the shower works like a charm.

We were camping when the tail ends of hurricanes arrived in Scotland. Unable to cope with the ferocious winds and biblical rain we found refuge in Conifer Lodge at Lagnakeil Highland Lodges. In September it is a peaceful location, lovely views out of the lodge down the valley. Easy walking and a nearby restaurant for lazy catering. The lodges are clean and have everything you need, linen, towels, fully fitted out with pots, pans and crockery and (hurrah) a dishwasher. With washing machines and driers also on site, I cannot think of anything that was not to hand.

Lagnakeil was a lucky find for us and we would not hesitate to return.

I loved our stay, the location was perfect for a family with young children - rural and peaceful but close enough to Oban to allow for a quick dash into town to pick up supplies when needed. The lodges were clean, and really well equipped. I’d have no problem recommending these lodges as a great place to have a family break and I’m already planning a return with our extended family.

We felt that charging extra, on top of the very large sum we were already paying to stay there, for electricity, using the washing machines, and especially for the children to go into the playroom, was ridiculous. It must have come to an extra £10, if that, and seemed ridiculous, greedy and inhospitable. Having to find 50p pieces for the children to go into the playroom was absurd.

We were surprised to find a self-catering place not supplying basics like salt, pepper, cooking oil, tea bags, so that they had to be bought specially and carried back on the train. We have stayed in equivalently priced places that were much more welcoming in this respect - even supplying fresh bread, butter, eggs, etc, as a courtesy. There was no soap, only plastic bottles of antibacterial handwash, which isn't very good for your hands, and not the kind of thing you actually want to wash your body with.

Drying towels and clothes was a big problem. There is one tiny heated towel rail that doesn't dry even one wet towel, much less four, and of course, the electricity to heat it is billed as an extra. So the not very large lodge was full of wet towels and slowly drying clothes. There was also nowhere to put items for recycling, either, only a bin for general rubbish, so cardboard, tins, plastic bottles, etc all had to sit out in the kitchen while we were there.

These are would all be very small things to do differently and would make a lot of difference to the comfort and friendliness of the place.

We won't be returning or recommending the place.

Our extended family very much enjoyed our stay in Lagnakeil. The cabin had a lovely position with views down the loch. Despite a week of inclement weather there is plenty to do in and around Oban with day trips to Seil and Kererra, some great walks. The hosts had some great suggestions climbing Ben Lora, was memorable and a very straightforward hill walk for a young family with great views from the top out to the Islands. It is a lovely location

It was wonderful. Maybe the only minor negative detail were the dogs of other guests. Despite the clear instructions in the lodge documentation, people still leave their dogs unleashed. Most annoying was the dog waste I stepped into on the grass pitch near the swing where we played football.
A recommendation would be to make a footpath across the hills towards the southwestern coast of the peninsula. This would make a wonderful walk and add even more joy to this fantastic location.

This was our second stay at the lodges and we enjoyed it as much as the first. Weather was much better than before so it enhanced the experience. We have already booked for same weekend in 2019. Love the location (just outside Oban as well as the site). Views are to die for, no ambient noise except wildlife, fantastic walking routes, free fishing (up at Loch Scammadale). Lodges are clean and comfortable, although a bit compact (but we all get on so thats never an issue). If your looking for a relaxing weekend I would highly recommend.

The perfect place to retreat and chill from busy life! The conifer had plenty room for us all - 4 adults, 2 children and a baby! We were lucky to have a white winter weekend and the views were absolutely stunning!
Exploring the surrounding area was great fun and on the Sunday we ended our weekend at the Barn for a delicious meal and enjoyed listening to the local musicians who had met up there to play.
All in all a perfect weekend! We couldn't have been happier with the lodge itself and the owners were really friendly and happy to help. We didn't want to leave on the Monday!

The setting is ideal! So beautiful! The single track road in made us nervy the first time down it but then it was fine. We thought we would use this as a base to explore the area but it is so beautiful we wanted to relax and watch how the sunlight played on the scenery throughout the day. The cabins (lodges) were homey and cozy with aged knotty pine paneling, rustic but not. Instant hotwater, lots of heaters, everything (Cooking pans) you need to cook, but bring your food supplies, the only supplies there were salt and pepper. We were in a 3 bedroom Conifer lodge with a nice deck with picnic table outside looking toward the water. Special thanks to Paul, who went above and beyond by constructing ramps for the 2 stairs in and over the threshold for our daughter who requires a wheelchair. The lodge was not wheelchair accessible, but we were able to make it work with a bit of furniture rearranging. The setting was lovely, out in the country, sheep around, very quiet. I got up one night and looked outside. It was a clear night and I could not believe the number of stars showing and the Milky Way. I even saw 2 shooting stars. There was a nice pub just up the road, The Barn, that served good food and drink . Oban is just minutes away. Washers and dryers, a small library and a game room are on premises.

Nous arrivons de Lagnakeil Highland Lodges où nous avons passé une semaine formidable et reposante en famille (nous étions 14). Nous avions loué 3 chalets.
Les lodges sont confortables et propres. L’environnement est très agréable. La vue est magnifique et le parc est très bien entretenu. Nous avons apprécié la salle de jeu bien équipée qui a occupé les enfants, l’aire de piquenique/BBQ panoramique qui surplombe la vallée.
Paul et Loreen font tout ce qu’il faut pour rendre le séjour de leurs résidents très agréable. Ils ont même organisé un service de baby-sitter lors d’une soirée !
Un grand merci à tous les deux pour cette superbe semaine. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir d’autant plus que nous n’avons pas fini d’explorer la région. A bientôt. Famille Perrot
We just came back from Lagnakeil Highland Lodges where we enjoyed a family reunion. It was 14 of us for 1 week so we booked 3 lodges. We had a great and restful week.
The lodges are comfortable and clean. The surroundings is very pleasant and the view is beautiful. The parklands is well kept. The children very much appreciated the game room. The panoramic picnic/BBQ area leans over the valley.
Paul and Loreen make their guests very welcome. They have even organized a babysitter for us one evening.
A big thank you both of you for this lovely week. We’ll be back. We have still a lot to explore within Oban area.

My family booked three lodges for a family reunion. We were given three lodges in close proximity as requested. They all had lovely views and our conifer lodge had a large grassy area for all the children to play on. They made use of some of the outdoor toys in the games room which was an added bonus. The lodges were well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay.
The only negative I could mention is the fact that the travel cot provided was not in great condition in that it had a lumpy base and it did not fit in the bedroom, we had to put one of the single beds on top of the other one to get it into the room - I think the only way around this problem is to make the guests aware and offer to take one of the beds out the lodge for the duration of their stay.
Overall we had an enjoyable stay. My only suggestion for improvement would be - since the location is not an easy 'nip out to the shops', is perhaps an honesty shop set up in reception, offering basic provisions such as toilet paper, kitchen roll, non perishable food items (tins and cereal), and charcoal.

From website photos impression was of a view and not being cramped in beside noisy games room. People constantly walking past etc. Conifer 4 is worst located challet and therefore should be cheaper and made clearer it's not one in photos. Very dissapointed. No can opener or corkscrew. No body at reception and tried to call and ask for them but no signal. Beds so damp they actually felt wet.

Accommodation is in a beautiful setting and is vary conveniently situated for easy access to Oban. Walk through the cow field was a highlight for the Aussie contingent! As a family of 5 adults and 3 very young children, everything we needed was provided. Loved our stay there and would highly recommend.

Great nature, very very green. We saw a lot of birds and deers just in front of our lodge. Lodges on a fantastic location with a beautiful view. Never seen something like this. Everything was OK in the lodge.
There was only one thing that did not function as we expected: the Wifi. But we could manage that.

Cabin was clean, spacious and very well appointed. Kitchen was really well kitted out. Needs a little updating in places but very comfortable nonetheless. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Location was good- short walk to a pub with good food and only a short drive to Oban.

Conifer lodge was very comfortable and very clean and well equipped, the barn restaurant was excellent good food and reasonable priced, unfortunately because it never stopped raining we had to drive there instead of short cutting through a field. We would definitely stay at the lodges again.

We really enjoyed the accommodation with all facilities. Plenty of space for 4 of us.
The dining table at Conifer 3 faced the lake view and a mirror was set up for people opposite to view as well.
The wifi was not great but we were told about this.
A great place so close to Oban but at the same experiencing the peaceful country life with all we needed in the lodge.

Stunning setting for these lodges with close proximity to Oban. Everything you need provided in accommodation.Dog friendly although they have to be kept on lead due to livestock in adjacent fields. Walked over to the Barn for an evening meal where dogs are welcome too.

This is a great location and the chalets are good and have great views. Lose to Oban and a pub within easy walk. The chalets have everything you might need and have enough distance between them so that there is privacy. Good walking area and perfect for getting on the Mull ferry. Thanks

Yes, the lodges have a bit of an outdated style, and yes the shower is a bit clumsy but it only adds to the fantastic outdoors feel of the place. Our Lodge was clean and roomy, we slept wonderful and ending a great day at The Barn Bar with a very well made fresh meal (kitchen closes at 9pm during week days) and a pint is really all you want. We would book again!!

6 adults, 4 kids and 4 dogs, we had a great weekend away here! We had 2 lodges next to each other with lovely views. Lodges were clean and had everything we needed. Owners were very welcoming And helpful. Fantastic location with plenty of walks and a nice wee trip to Oban. Definitely would recommend and will hopefully visit again. Oh and a lovely kid and dog friendly pub a short walk away from the the lodges.

We stayed in a Conifer Lodge with a view looking down a Glen and to a loch, wonderful peaceful place to spend a couple of days
The lodge was clean and had everything we needed with no frills. The bedrooms are compact but the beds are extreamly comfortable. Though the Lodge sleeps 6 it would be a bit tight if the weather was bad and you needed to spend more time indoors especially if there were children.
The addition of a hair dryer and just a small plant, a very basic fruit bowl or couple of flowers in a bud vase on the dining table would make such a difference to the general atmosphere on arrival.
The owners could not have been more helpful or welcoming.
Would definitely recommend and look forward to a return visit.

Lodge itself was basic but had all the essentials and it was easy to locate anything that we were looking for.

Negatives
Lodge looked a bit tired and could do with a bit of a revamp. It could also do with a good scrub kitchen utensils felt greasy to touch, some rubbish noticed behind bedroom table in twin room. I'm not sure if the lodge hadn't been used in a while however when on the plug ins were switched off the lodge smelt like damp dog!

Would I stay here again hmmmmm yes if on itison and for a couple of days only

2 suggestions :
- You suggest a pub 10 min walking from the chalets. We (as well as persons of another chalet) never found it (many people using a basic English are not comfortable with the Scotish accent). We had a nice diner in Oban.
You should give a simple map to find this pub.
- We (2 chalets) came to the reception at about 5:30 PM to ask again the route for the pub. Nobody answered

We used lagnakeil lodges as a base for a weeks holiday after finding them on line. I had several email correspondence with Paul and I booked with confidence.

When we arrived we were very pleased with the views. Our lodge was the one in the main advert photo. Excellent view. Good parking. Well signed on the way in. We went to book in and realised we were early, but Paul was very welcoming. He led us to our lodge, talked through the site facilities and explained where the nearby Barn pub was.

We went into our lodge and were quite surprised to find that the space was more than we had expected. Three good sized bedrooms, large lounge, dining area with six chairs around the dining table, kitchen area with dishwasher, bathroom with shower over bath and a toilet, and a second toilet in a separate room. Electric heating in all areas of the lodge made it cosy.

Oban is only five minutes away, but by reaching the lodge by single track lanes and with the surrounding hills drowning out any noise and light pollution, it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. This is a excellent place to use as a base for discovering the Highlands.

Some reviews have stated that the lodges are showing signs of age, and in some ways this is true. The wardrobes are a little musty, enough to slightly taint the clothing inside, but not enough to make you not put them on. The skirting boards in the bathroom could do with a scrub, but again, not enough to put you off booking a stay.

Paul and Lauren are very friendly and helpful. They will give you details and advice on places to visit and where you can find the best shops. All the basics you need are at the site, and with Oban having a great range of shops, restaurants and bars, lagnakeil is an ideal choice for you.

I spent 5 days with my husband and 3 teenage grandchildren at the site. It was quite a tight fit! The weather was lovely so they were able to get out. The site's children's facilities were poor and the equipment was not in good condition. The nearby Pub Barn was good value for money and they welcomed both children and dogs. The site was in good condition - grass short etc. - and the views were lovely.

We stayed hear in October for 4 nights whilst visiting relative in Oban. On arrival Paul showed us round and gave us advice on where to eat out etc. The lodge was spotless and the bedding and towels were of good quality and, the beds were very comfortable.
The view from our lodge was lovely and the location was perfect, so peaceful and quiet.
We would highly recommended the lodges, worked out much cheaper than B&B.

unfortunately, despite the electrician having checked the property we stayed in (no 7 from memory?) the electricity failed in our chalet - so if someone was in the shower and someone else turned on the oven, then the shower turned off and the lights went out. If the dishwasher was started up, then the trip switch turned everything off.
I felt the design could have been a bit more updated, it is a bit basic but the beds were very comfortable and it was quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at Lagnakeil. Swings for the kids, beautiful scenery and the most accommodating hosts. We were lucky enough to visit during Oban's highland games and were able to follow the bagpipers lead the procession up to the games.
Then disaster struck and the owner at Lagnakeil found us at the games. we got the dates mixed up and we're supposed to check out that morning. We had nowhere to stay that night. Despite the inconvenience we had caused they let us use their home as a base to find somewhere else to stay and they even made some calls for us.
Wish we could've stayed that extra day as the lodges were amazing. We will definitely return and this time I will double check my dates!

We booked 2 double and a twin room lodge for our party of 5 adults. On arriving at the lodge we were given 2 twins and a double. On entering our room I noticed a very musty damp smell, when I opened the wardrobe the bottom was black furry mould. I went up to the reception area to advise the owner of the situation regarding the rooms and also the mould. I was told there were no more lodges available to swap to and someone would be sent down to look at the mould. No one turned up so my husband spent an hour with cleaner getting rid of it so we could hang our clothes up, even then we had to leave the wardrobe doors open as the smell was awful. On our 2nd to last day we by chance came across a room where fresh towels, bedding and cleaning stuff was found, we were not advised of this on arrival and spent the week with 1 towel each!!
Toward the middle of the week the owner came with a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates for our inconvenience, he also refunded £50 back to our bank account.
After returning home I then developed a chest infection which I am sure was to do with the mouldy room. Considering the cost which we paid for this lodge it was very basic and not worth the money. We shall not return and not recommend.
The lodge we stayed in needs up dating, fresh paint and much TLC.

We had a great break. There were three children agen 19 months , 6 and 9 years old and four adults. Accommodation suited us perfectly. Facilities were more than adequate. I understand a refurbishment program is planned which will bring the lodges up to date. The location is stunning and the owners go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. We can also,recommend The Barn, a local pub/restaurant. Sunday's are good , with impromptu music from local musicians! Food excellent. Will return!

Glad to hear they are going to be refurbishing as in much need of updating. On arrival the lodge smelt quite damp. It was also cold and had to use the heaters and then pay for that on top of what we'd already paid for 3 nights. We have no objection to people taking pets but with carpets and soft furnishings it does tend to smell when wet. Not sure if any of the lodges are pet free?? Saying that the lodge had everything needed for our stay and the location was lovely. Wifi also very poor. At the moment we would not recommend this property to our friends.

This is a great place to stay, it's close to town and easy to get around but you feel like you are miles away. Setting pretty.
I would recommend though if you feel the cold take extra bedding. They do offer extra if need be. We found it quite chilly despite super weather.
People friendly.
Kids said playroom needed some loving but this is apparently on their to do list. It's a great idea for kids to have this area.
We liked it and would recommend for families.

We stayed here for two nights. Great location. However lodges are very dated and in dire need of a refurbishment. Expensive for what you get, washing up liquid and general cleaning products supplied but no tea, coffee, milk etc.
Found the lodge to be on the small side, esp main bedroom, no mirror or room for a dressing table. Seating area outside has a bench/table and an old bench that looked as if it was ready to fall apart. Pity about the lodges as they are set in a lovely location, they have a green hut which has a pool table and games for you to use.

The staff at the lodges were friendly, helpful and efficient. The lodge itself was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The surrounding area was a delight to walk in. We were a group of four and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One of our group left a laptop bag, including a passport needed for travel the following day. Paul could not have been more helpful; arranging for the bag to be delivered to us in Glasgow the next morning at very little cost. Service such as this is very rare. We would recommend a stay at Lagnakeil to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Oban..

We were a family group of 4 adults and two children. Arrived in lovely sunshine in stunning location looking down the glen to the loch. The lodge was very comfortable although in need of some refurbishment. However, the beds were very comfortable.
Unfortunately, the weather deteriorated which made it difficult to occupy two young boys ( 5 and 2 years) . They liked going on a couple of short ferry trips to Kerrera and Easdale. The Sea Life Centre north of Oban was a highlight.
The short walk to The Barn enabled discussion about flora and fauna and the friendly welcome and good food helped fill several hours. The two boys soon made friends in the play area.
Paul and Lauren were extremely welcoming and helpful both before and during our stay.
Oban is just a few miles north making it easy to buy provisions ( and some delicious fish and chips )
A stunning location combined with comfortable accommodation and warm welcome --- what more could you ask ?

Paul and his staff were helpful. In the one problem we had it was dealt with immediately. The walks from the site are truly wonderful and the close proximity of The Barn makes for a nice walk and a good beer and food in the evening. The road too and from the main road needs to be taken with care and caution as it is narrow and sometimes poor visibility ahead with grass and hedges, but given that it is a secluded and quiet spot.
The walk to the Loch is a must, it is beautiful and on our day the verges and hedgerows were full of wild flowers and an amazing variety of grasses, whilst the sun shone. Essential to take water, but once at the Lochside and it takes a while to get there, in fact we thought at one point we might have missed a turn, the tranquility is wonderful, we sat for ages just resting in the peace of it.
The site is quite well thought out. We were blessed with a decking and a view of the Loch in the distance, a pair of binoculars helped with viewing the many local birds including a soaring eagle. Birds visit the decking for crumbs.

This is the second time we have stayed here. There were only two suggestions:
1. There were nothing to use when barbequeing food
2. Would have preferred the single beds in another bedroom. We had a 20 month old staying in a room where the window opened fully and they only opened at the top in the other two rooms. Our 20 month is very adventurous and could easily have climbed out of the window. It was very hot and needed the window open. Would not have been a problem if the twins had been in one of the other bedrooms.
Apart from that, excellent site and location.

The Lodge itself was nice and welcoming, spacious for me, my young son and two puppies! Glorious surroundings though close enough to 'civilisation' should you need the supermarket! The owners were lovely, nice and friendly! I would definately recommend this place and look at going again myself. Thank you, :-)

Our lodge was in a beautiful elevated position overlooking stunning scenery and not overlooked by any of the other lodges. It was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. If you like peace and quiet then you will like Lagnakeil and it is also convenient for popping into Oban as it is only about 3 miles away. They are dog friendly but unfortunately there wasn't a lot of places to walk our dogs except along the single track road which wasn't easy as you had to keep pulling the dogs up on to the verge to avoid the traffic but that would not put me of going back.

The location and grounds of the lodges were amazing, the owners very nice but I did not enjoy my stay if you are looking for rough and ready this is for you but personally i prefer clean and comfortable.

On my check out I did let the owner know how I felt but would like to share my opinion on trip advisor also.
The general condition of the lodge was poor from the paintwork to the dirty windows.
The sofa dipped and unsupported obviously broken.
Shower rail didn't hold the shower head.
Kitchen tap had the disc missing which covers the screw that exposed a very sharp edge which cut my finger.
Rusty kettle.
Second double bedroom had a very nasty smell like body odour.
Wifi very poor and just a waste of time trying to connect.

The lodge which was conifer 3 in my opinion is very rundown and needs refurbished at £260 for 2 nights cannot say I am very impressed.
The ratings that trip advisor have for the lodges leaves me a little confused.

Thoroughly enjoyed 3 night stay with the bonus of good weather. An easy drive to Oban for a day out or to get supplies etc. A 10 minute walk to The Barn pub for a nice drink and nice food (and live music) all helped to make this a great place to visit. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends for a peaceful holiday.

This is a wonderful location with lovely views and gentle walking right from the chalet door without having to move the car.
The chalets are well-equipped and comfortable. The bedrooms are rather on the small side but it's good to find such quality mattresses, which ensures a great night's sleep. We will certainly return!

We found the lodge a bit tired. We understand Paul has only taken over the site recently but his work is cut out for him to refresh the lodge we stayed in. Paul is a really nice guy and nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is a bit isolated but then that is ideal for people wanting to get away from everything for a while. Not really a place to take the kids as the only thing for them is a small playpark. What this site really really needs is a restaurant/bar. Perfect for backpackers and hill walkers as a base for crashing out after a day in the fresh air, but not really an awful lot to do for families for entertainment. A nice place though for a quiet couple of days break.

We spent last weekend with our family (4 adults and 3 young children) at Lagnakeil in Conifer lodge. The lodge was spotless and very comfortable. Everything you may need is provided (pots, pans, toilet roll, dish towels etc).
Location is beautiful. We were lucky with the weather and were able to sit out on the decking. Our kids had a ball. Plenty of space for them to run around and play.
The wee playroom was great for the kids too, with a pool table, fuss all table, loads of books and boardgames.
The owners were so lovely. Very helpful and considerate. We had a problem with our shower but were able to use one in another cabin and by the time we came back that day a new shower had been fitted! Great service!
We ate at The Barn which was a 10 min walk through the field (take a couple of torches with you). The food was outstanding and the staff and locals very friendly and helpful.
We got a great deal via ITISON so worked out great value for a brilliant weekend. We didnt want to leave! Definately be back!

Booked a 2night stay here after purchasing an itison voucher. Stunning scenery, lodge very comfortable and ideal right in front of the swings and near the games room. The games room, although maybe in need of a little updating was an added bonus for my nephew who loved playing on the pool table! Only a short drive to Oban and the sealife centre was good for the kids. We were lucky with the weather but would be even better in the summer with BBQ's etc Owners very helpful and friendly. Would definitely return again!

We really enjoyed our short stay at the lagnakeil lodges. There was a slight mixup with the booking, but Paul was very helpful in making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed in the lodge. The lodge itself (ash 5) was nice with a fantastic view of the valley. The lodges were well signposted and so it was easy to find, and only a couple of miles outside Oban so was great for going in and out of town.

It is perfect distance from Oban we stayed for 2 nights (wish it was a week) Paul the Owner met us on arrival and showed us around our 3 bedroomed lodge. Electric is 10p per unit and cost us £9 for 3 days "billy bargain " We also went with our family dogs £4 each per night. Perfect location for country walks. Pub just a 10 min walk over the hill. They are open Fri,Sat sun, kids must be out by 8.The Italian "Piazza" in Oban is lovely 10/10 they recommend the chinese " China" in the lodge leaflets for places to eat but we weren't impressed 2/10. Our boys loved the old war museum 2 elderly men were working to answer any of their questions . The boys did quizes held a grenade seen medals tried on hats and helmets. Absolutely everything described to them would highly recommend it. Also the kids loved the chocolate factory sweet shop along the road (book in advance and kids can make the chocolates) Think it was £9 each. You can watch them as there is a glass viewing window. Only thing we wanted to do but didn't was a boat trip. The boat trips to see the dolphins seals and go round the islands only run in the summer. Have a great time. :-D x

We had a fabulous weekend away with my mum and dad, brother and sister in law and the kids at Lagnakeil lodges during the half term February break. The owners were so welcoming and took the time to explain all the amenities both in the lodge and also the surrounding area. The views from the lodge were breathtaking and although it was freezing outside we were lovely and cosy inside! The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to make a meal on the Friday night and the beds were comfy and spotlessly clean. On the Saturday we decided to go for dinner in the local pub, The Barn, which was a lively place with a wood burning stove...perfect after the brisk walk to get there! The locals and staff alike were so friendly and the food was great!! All in all I would highly recommend Lagnakeil and will definitely be back!!! Thanks Paul and Lauren!!

Five of us stayed in this lodge at beginning of Feb. Although the rain never really stopped, the views from the lodge were still lovely. The site owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The beds were very comfy and facilities in the lodge were excellent. Good spot being the end lodge on the site so no-one passed by our lodge to get to theirs, which made it more private. Would definitely like to go back during the summer months, although more expensive then. We stayed through a website deal with Itison so got a great deal.

My family and I recently spent a weekend at Lagnakeil Highland Lodges in a Conifer lodge. There were 6 adults and my wee dog.
The lodge was excellent with everything needed for a comfortable stay, Although the weather was poor it did not deter us, the boys all had a good walk up into the hills and the views are breath taking. Telephone/internet access isn't great but this only added to a brilliant family weekend with no outside distractions. Oban town is nearby and worth a visit.

All in all a fantastic stay was had.

my partner and her daughter came with me, and also 3 small children, oh and also a border collie, we had excellent conifer lodge, well kitted out and very warm, 3 spacious double bedrooms, two toilets with showers, the kitchen area was amazing, everything we needed was there, only downside I thought was at night, around the lodge, its very dark, the site itself isn't well lit at night. for the dog it was amazing, plenty of fresh air and cool walks, Its a very brilliant stay for a short time, we had 2 nights, Just be careful of the single track road to the site, plenty of passing places, but wee bit scary for the kids at night

This place was really awesome. One of the best places that we have been. Lodge was super awesome , wonderful location and view. Very friendly staff and there are so many things to do and go around. I have been travelling up to Lagnakiel for quite some years now and this was my first stay in one of the conifer lodges and was not disappointed.
The lodge was very comfortable and warm enough with just two heaters on,previously I have stayed in one of the.cottages which is no longer available but would recommend the conifer lodge to anyone.

This was our third visit, it is well situated for viewing the Oban area and for the ferries to the islands.The view towards the loch is beautiful in all weathers. The lodges have everything you need.

This was the second time we have stayed at lagnakeil lodges and we had a great break 7 days of peace . The lodge was warm at night we only needed one heater on the beds were very comfy and clean .the kitchen was fine and had all things required for self catering. The wooden decking with patio sets were well used by all and if you have dogs they will love it too . A great lodge in a great spot with fantastic views and fine hoasts we loved it and will be back soon

this was a short break for our family at a lovely area away from the daily routine. The wooden outdoor bench is an important furniture where on a sunny or mild day you can enjoy the fantastic view in peace without any noise around.. the lodges are well equipped however i feel that 6 persons in a sleep 6 unit would be over crowded in my opinion especially having only 1 bathroom.. The lodges are only 6 minutes away from the fishing town of Oban,

A clean comfortable stay and only 10 minutes out of town. A little further from the water than the photo suggests but as a peaceful bolt hole it was very good. the Barn Pub close by has great food and atmosphere, is affordable and is very convenient after a long day touring. We went there three times!!

Kids enjoyed the games room and the laundry was also convenient.

My family and our dog had a great long weekend staying at the Conifer Lodge. Lovely surroundings and only a short drive into the centre of Oban. Had a lovely meal at "The Barn" bar and resteraunt just a 10 minute walk from our lodge.

The lodge is slighlty bigger than a double living room, but has 3 bedrooms...forniture old and not in great shape. Cleanliness not accettable. It's a shame it is rewarded with 4 stars. Last but least, it's one of the most expensive places we've been in Scotland (and we went to many places! ) the area is beautiful, but next time we will certainly go some place else

The lodge was fine for our requirements. It was well equipped. Could of been cleaner & was a little 'tired looking' but was fine. The absolutely beautiful views over looking the loch made up for this. Colin the owner was very helpful & the site is well maintained. My tesco shopping had been delivered & was in the lodge by the time we arrived which was very good indeed. 1/2 mile walk over a muddy field to get to 'the barn' pub & restaurant. We ate there quite a few times, the food was good & atmosphere was nice & relaxed. Overall a pleasant stay.

Enjoyable stay, lodge is situated in a great location with lovely views. The lodge itself was ideal for our needs in regard to size, facilities & contents within it. The setting offers a nice tranquil break, however you are still not far from the centre of Oban if wanting a change from the countryside. One small point I would make would be in regard to towels, we all felt that we should have been given more than 1 bath towel for the week, not sure if more were available on request, however we weren't made aware of this. Overall, had a great stay and was an ideal base to combine exploring the many wonderful places nearby, while also relaxing in a lovely setting.

The lodges met our needs very well. Any need or issue was dealt with very promptly and effectively. The lodges were well equipped. We occupied three lodges for a family event in the locality, everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were.
Grounds were very well maintained and the lodges were well maintained.
The location is peaceful and beautiful and close to Oban ( by car)
If I had to find fault, the only observation was that the brush head of the vacuum cleaner was full of smelly dog hair!
Enjoyed Lagnakeil , would happily stay again especially if we had children in the party.

A fantastic site, peaceful and lovely location. Colin and Jo were very helpful, site was clean and tidy, laundry and play room very useful. Lodge itself was exactly as described, and despite the stormy weather we experienced, the lodge was draft free, dry and comfortable.
The local pub/restaurant was a 15 min walk and provided excellent choice and from our experience high quality food.
Will stay again in the future.

We stayed in a Conifer Lodge for 3 nights in July. Beautiful location and lodge was great. Spotlessly clean and everything that you could need. Had fantastic sleeps there! Blackout curtains kept out the light and it was sooooo quiet that I never woke once during the night! Lodges are only 3 miles from Oban yet feel like you are in a peaceful haven. The single track road into the Glen soon became easy to negotiate but we took taxis to and from Oban at night so we could have a wee drink and enjoy the brilliant seafood eateries there. Taxis only cost around £8 so it was worth leaving the car. Colin is a smashing host and nothing was too much trouble. We found him very friendly and helpful. It was chillier and wetter than normal for summer when we visited but the heating- which was in addition to the booking - only cost us £4 for the four days and we had it blasting in the mornings when we got up and before we headed to bed! The kitchen was new and very well fitted. If we had been doing any cooking it would have had everything we needed. Very comfortable stay and the setting around the lodges was lovely. I would thoroughly recommend a longer stay at Lagnakiel. Next time I would love to walk to the Barn and sample the cooking there! Thanks very much to Colin and family for making it feel like a home from home and for making it such a great few days. We will certainly be back!

We stayed at the Lodge for two days - everything was very clean, tidy and practical. There are several lodges on the grounds, the owner is very nice and efficient; the lodges have neat lawn and terraces and behind there is a beautiful bluebell forest. It's great to have two bathrooms in the lodge and particularly the shower with disabled-access was great, large, clean and well functioning with very good pressure and temperature. We did not take our laptops or anything, so it was nice to have some DVDs for the kids at the reception. We brought our own barbeque, only to find there are two grilling stations available for rent (£5). The place is a bit out of Oban which we thought was great - not touristy at all, but close enough. Very well managed, very friendly layout and decor, ideal for a family outing. We had a great time!

We stayed for 3 nights in Easter break in Conifer 6. The log cabin was big enough for our family (3 adults and 2 children) it can accommodate 6 adults easily. It had 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom 2 toilets one of them with bath and shower. The kitchen was well equipped and the living room was a good size with a dining table. The house has a porch that has an outdoor wooden table overlooking the kids play area. There are enough parking space for everybody and the houses offer reasonable privacy. Electricity consumption is not included in the rate (we paid £12 for the 3 nights according to our consumption).

The scenery is nice (green hills). Although you are 5 miles away from Oban harbour, you can only see the sea if you walk out of the house. I liked the information book in the house that provides information about all the attractions and restaurants in the area.
I didn't like the speed of the wifi Internet and even the mobile signal was very weak. Also, the old British separate water taps was inconvenient especially for my kids.

The book says that a grill is available but we couldn't find it.

I recommend staying here in the summer when the trees have their leaves.

Due to the strong (cat urine) odours, there was another vacant property, owners were able to relocate us, otherwise we would have not been able to stay another night.

Recently booked three conifer lodges for 16 ladies to stay in for a hen weekend. The lodges are in a great location and had gorgeous views. Only a short taxi ride (or walk weather permitting!) to Oban town centre. The lodges were a good size and well equipped. They were clean and tidy and good value for money. Would highly recommend a stay here :-)

We go year after year, lovely place with stunning views, lovely pub within a short walk. Kids love the freedom of quiet roads, look forward to our next visit.

The lodges were lovely, with everything you need for a stay away from home. Nice walking areas & locals were very friendly. Our group age range was from 13 to 74 & everyone said they would go back.

Had a great stay here. Wee bit out the way but ideal If you a relaxing break away from . It all. Had a fabulous views from our lodge. Would recommend it and the Price was very reasonable. The pub up the road called the barn serves lovely foof too.

We were pretty impressed with the lodge and the service. The lodge itself had everything we needed as we prepared and cooked food. Everytime we said, I wonder if there is a...whatever we needed, there was. Well organised!

The location was beautiful and even though we picked a weekend where it rained just about the whole time, we still enjoyed the views. Everyone said they would like to come back in the summer too.

There was one small issue with water inlet in the bathrooms - we weren't sure whether this was leaking form the toilets or rain coming in from outside.

By a pleasant change in booking we ended up staying at pitstruan cottage. A tardis of a cottage with plenty of room, bedrooms and bathrooms/showers. Beautiful setting and ample parking for 2 cars, possibly 3. A well stocked kitchen with all the utilities and essential crockery you would need to prepare a meal. We would definately go back and would love to visit during the summer. The only thing I would change would be that the fire was kindeled for our arrival as it was very cold initially on our February visit.

Overall we had a lovely time here, the lodge position was lovely and we had no customer service issues at all. Only (small) issue was that the lodge could have been a little cleaner. It wasn't filthy or anything, just a little bit mouldy/dusty to the more discerning eye.

Really enjoyed our short break at lagnakeil near Oban. The location is outstanding, the views were amazing! The lodge itself was spotless, beds were so comfortable and very cosy, heaters very good, considering we were there in the snow! The whole family enjoyed our stay, would love to come back in the summer to enjoy sitting outside to enjoy the views.
