Amazing weather allowing us another stay in late autumn. So much wildlife around , including a red kite. Owls hooting each evening, Great to listen to in our cosy cabin. 7th visit this year.

Absolutely lovely stay as ever. Saw the hares, the partridges, the pheasants and numerous little birds. Great to see nature reclaiming the golf course at Sutton-On-Sea and the national Trust centre and cafe there.

The location is so quiet and beautiful Yet not too far from local amenities etc.
The cabin is slightly dated but had everything we needed... Owners very helpful, we had an issue with the Wi-Fi which they couldn't have done more to put right even though it wasn't their fault, just one of those things. This was our second stay here and we will be back again. Overall a lovely little gem

We have stayed as an extended family a number of times and always try to book all the lodges and sometimes the cottage depending on how many can make it. This time celebrating a 40th birthday. Another very memorable stay with 4 generations all enjoying meals and fun trips together not too far from home and in a safe space for the children. It's affordable and familiar. This time the shower needed a bit of cleaning before we could use it but apart from that all was as we expect for the price. The trees in the centre are getting more overgrown and very shady now but there are areas around where you can sunbathe if you wish.

Fantastic location, literally in the middle of no where, very private and secluded. The log cabins are very well made and roomy, found to be clean and tidy with everything you need. Perhaps the only negative is that some things look a little dated and could have done with a few updates.
Certainly will go again!

First impression when we walked in was am I back in the 70s. The cabin is very dated everything needs replacing. The single beds need new mattresses as springs stick in your back, so did not get a good nights sleep. The cooker is very dated, needs changing. Only had a hot water tap that worked in the bathroom sink. All grout in the bathroom looks yuk and mouldy. Microwave so light you have to hold on to it when you open the door, or slides all over the place. Carpets look dirty as so old.
It was a shame really as could be so much better, in a really lovely secluded place, suited us at the time because we know the area well, but not getting any sleep because of creaky noisey hard beds is not what you need at the end of a busy day.
Come on owners spend some money getting these lovely cabins into the 21st century.

Just as advertised. Set in the trees with lovely country walks nearby. Also only a short car ride to the coast. Our hosts were charming and the accommodation was comfortable with everything we needed. The snowdrops were a sight to see in mid February. Some places closed as it was out of season but to be expected. Recommend the Walk for all Ages at South Thoresby - see route online or there is an information board near the church. The garden centre at Woodthorpe do a nice meal but the cakes are expensive so suggest buy one and take back to the cabin for dessert if preferred. Saw some rabbits and hares near the cabin and s large white owl. Alford is good to visit with craft shops.
We will be back again!

This was our second visit to Park Farm and, once again, we enjoyed the peaceful location and sense of being out in the woods. The proximity to beaches, green spaces and country pubs are a massive bonus!
The children absolutely love staying here as they have so much freedom to run about outdoors.
The cabin / lodge has everything that you need - good water pressure in the shower, functioning little kitchen, clean bedding and towels etc - but is fairly basic and dated in terms of decor and furnishing. Great value though all things considered.
Imagine we will be back again - for us this is the perfect way to feel close to the beach but not stay in a busy holiday park.

A very nice location, nice and quiet with nice little walks to go on around the area in the farm fields. The only downfall is the oven is very very old and it’s very difficult to cook something decent in it, it takes a long time to heat up or they seem to burn everything from underneath. Another slight issue would probably be the Wi-Fi it isn’t very good especially when all four cabins are using it and the sofas aren’t very comfy, very old and hard. Apart from all that it is a very nice place to stay on holiday and will definitely be returning and some point in the future. hopefully some little tweaks and updating might be done at this place and it would be even better. 8/10.

We had a lovely couple of nights staying at Goldcrest Lodge. What struck me was that the whole place was spotlessly clean and they owners have thought about everything you might need (shelves, hooks, etc.) The lodge was plenty warm enough.
The location is very pretty and relaxing.
The only slight downside is that the furnishings are a bit old fashioned but all very clean.
We would definitely stay again.
NB if you put the postcode in maps it will leave you outside a bungalow called Withern Lodge. If this is on your right, just continue along the road for 200 yds or so and the park is down the first right hand turn.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Park Farm. The booking system is a little dated so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. We booked because it was affordable (this year everywhere else seems to have hiked up their prices enormously) and we know and like Mablethorpe.
We were pleasantly surprised by our stay - the location is great. Feels like you are 'in nature' and very safe for the children to play as there are just a few lodges in the space. The lodge provided everything we needed. Sofas a little old and the mattresses certainly weren't new but overall it suited us really well. Our two children (6 and 3) loved the space and we enjoyed lots of day trips to different beaches.
I would say that Park Farm has probably been running more or less the same way for a decade or two but it works as is!
I imagine we will return!

we had a lovely four days away. We were the only ones booked in so it was very peaceful, just what we wanted .we used the car each day to visit places such as Salfleetby & threddelesthorpe Marsh, hotoft, Sutton, mablethorpe. Unfortunately Donna Nook had red flag so couldn't explore there.. The lodge was cosy and clean. The suite looked bit grubby but I always take my own throws so we feel at home so wasn't a problem. Yes the lodge probably needed a general update but for us it was ideal and would visit again. Thank you

Myself and my family (2 adults, 2 children) had an enjoyable 5 night stay in our wood cabin (Goldcrest) at Park Farm Holidays.
The owners had reassuringly adhered to Covid rules & regulations, yet at the same time the property was still well-equipped with everything we needed including tv and Wi-Fi.
The location is ideal for exploring Lincolnshire and the Wolds - Louth, Mablethorpe and Alford all within an easy drive.
We hope to return and would recommend.

An almost perfect location, beautiful scenery & quiet. The cabins have amazing potential but i feel that the time has arrived where a refurb would improve things. The mattress on the double bed is well past its replacement date. The furniture needs replacing. The shower screen needs replacing as it's starting to perish. The cleaning wasn't the best, initial appearance was good but as the week went on we noticed more & more areas that hadn't seen a duster for a while & the cooker area was grimy. Windows were dirty inside & out, cobwebs & dust in the corners. The vacuum cleaner provided had a bad smell when in use which i think might indicate that the filter needs cleaning more often. The TV was lacking in a few channels so might need a re-tune. A ceiling fan or just a small movable electric fan for hot days would be nice. Some kind of gate on the cabin veranda & some way of keeping the veranda area small child or dog secure so that doors could be left open would be an idea.
That said, as a base for exploring, it's in a fabulous location & the price we paid was probably about right - any more would have been too much.
The current virus situation meant that the laundry facility was closed & books, game, dvds etc had been removed from cabins, it would have been nice to get a small reduction due to this.
The local village has no shop or facilities anymore which was disappointing.
In our opinion, a huge potential if some investments were made, especially as people will be looking for more UK holidays for some years to come now!
Trish from Watford stayed at Goldcrest for 7 nights in July 2020
Alan Burkitt, Park Farm Holidays replied more than 1 year ago
I am sorry Mrs Greenhill was not very happy with the cabin.
I agree that the double mattress needs replacing, it is our oldest.
The television receives freeview, as do all the others, about 80 channels.
The pine needles exude a sticky dust, it makes the windows very difficult to get clean.
Having said all that, we are constantly refurbishing and replacing items and being very careful about sterilising between visitors.
A lovely spot and simple log cabin in need of some TLC

We stayed here with family for two nights in June. The cabin is warm and cosy, the heating works well and keeps the chill out. The kitchen is well equipped with the essentials, and clean enough. The living area is simple and works fine, but the bathroom is where it all goes down hill. There was lots of black mould growing on the poorly applied silicone sealant around the bath/shower that even a soak in bleach wouldn’t remove, and a similar story around the rear of the sink. The loo seat was also loose. We briefly met the old chap who runs the place, and he seems very genuine so we assume he’s just let it go a bit, rather than get someone in to sort this problem with mould out properly. If that was done, then we’d recommend this as a very nice place to stay.
Guest from Dale stayed at Goldcrest for 2 nights in June 2019
Alan Burkitt replied more than 1 year ago
The sealant in the bathroom is a constant problem. It gets scrubbed with bleach regularly and is renewed nearly every year. More ventilation to the bathroom could help, like leaving the window open when not in use.

We have stayed at Park Farm many times over the last 10 years, and have always found the owners, Mr and Mrs Birkett to be friendly, welcoming hosts. However, with the passage of time, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the demands of the upkeep of these rentals are taking their toll. The accommodations are becoming tired and in need of a refurb. Small defects are not being addressed, and so small become bigger!! The location is lovely. The wildlife abundant, and I still think the price reflects the quality! We will continue to visit Park Farm, but we know what to expect, others may not!!

Magical setting among the pine trees, with pheasants strutting around. The ideal base away from the crowds but only a few miles from Mablethorpe with its glorious golden beaches. Welcoming, friendly and charming owners. Highly recommended.

Exactly what we were after, a base to visit family from. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed, the woods were lovely. Quiet with just sounds of nature, lots of birds etc. We would stay again.

We were looking for a secluded spot for a well earned break over the Easter period. This was absolutely perfect for us and enabled us to completely relax in the lovely surroundings and was ideally situated as a base to explore the surrounding area.
The cabin was clean and well equipped, the central heating was very welcome and we were very comfortable. Most of all it had that homely feeling about it which is very important for us.
Be warned though, the shower in Goldcrest leaves a lot to be desired and it would be desirable it it was upgraded. This aside we would completely recommend this place and loved our time there.

Had a very nice weekend break in Goldcreasr log cabin my wife my 10 year old Granddaughter and my self. It was just what we needed as my wife was ill all Christmas and New year. The weather was on the cold side even had snow on Sunday and in those surrounding was brilliant to see. Lovely and warm and snug in the log cabin sat watching the snow falling. Had a lovely break be back end of March.

The cabin even though of older type was clean warm and comfortable in a quiet setting. The large pine trees were lovely but have grown and make inside a bit gloomy so needing the lights on all the time. It is ideal here for dogs and they are welcome. We had a lovely chilled out weeks holiday lots of seaside towns to visit.

We had a lovely stay at the end of September, the cabin was very clean, warm and cosy even though it was a little chilly outside with everything you could possibly need provided. The beds were firm but surprisingly very comfortable. The shower was a bit disappointing probably due to water pressure, but it did work and was fine for a quick rinse down, we had a lovely hot bath instead. The wi-fi was a big plus for us and the nice modern TV. The location is stunning, in a small wooded area, nestled in between tall that is surrounded by farm fields, it was so pretty and so peaceful we even saw wild deer in the trees, for us town folk that was a real treat. We loved our visit, we didn't want to leave and would most definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet little get away.

Another lovely stay at parkfarm. Always quiet, always peaceful, lots of bird and wildlife. Basic, but clean, ideal for a short, 'outdoors' break. We'll be back.

I loved staying at the cabin so relaxing and in very good travelling distance to explore the Lincs Wolds, Mablethorpe,Fantasy Island,Skegness, Nature reserves, and Lincoln. The beds are really comfortable with just about enough room in the wardrobes. Kitchen well equipped but it was a shame that the cleaners failed to clean the extractor which was a bit greasy. It was great to hear and see the birds, rabbits and squirrel running around. We went in October and were fortunate to be able to use the bbq that is available plus they have washing facilities yes a washing machine and somewhere to hang your washing and plenty of pegs so for a family great. It is secluded so kids can run around without any hazard no traffic!! then you can go for a walk in the woods luvely. This is not a 4 or 5* place but the location and tranquility that this place offers is something to experience. This is why we spent a holiday there in July 2016 and went back in Oct 2016. Very worth going to if you want safety and tranquility. Got kids max 30 mins to a beach. The owners are elderly but they have pride in what they have done and if you have a problem there response in quick, like within 2hrs this is good. From my experience staying in some places you are lucky to get any response from the owner before you leave. Don't expect the world but I am sure that you, as I, will have a wonderful time.
