The cabin is set in a beautiful and quiet location. Our children really enjoyed playing in the woods and they weren't in anybody's way because there is so much space. The cabin is well equipped- everything you need. Very clean. There is plenty of space within the rooms. The double bed was a little too soft for us; however, the children did not complain about their beds!
If you want a secluded location far from the madding crowd look no further. One of 4 log cabins, in woodland on a private estate. Accommodation was as described, the owners delightful, accommodation well equipped including free Wifi. It was great to get up early walk across the feels, and see wild deer, phesants and other wildlife. Not too far from seaside resorts, but would recommend Gibraltar Point bird sanctuary 17 miles away, with very quick visit to Skegness to remind yourself why this lovely secluded location is so special. I would recommend it highly and may well visit again
We have stopped here a few times now in both of the 3 bedroom cabins. They are always clean and are well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the property is always well presented. The location is quite remote and peaceful but within easy reach of local facilities by car. The only downside in both of the cabins we have stopped in is the shower. The water pressure in the showers is comically weak. There is however a separate bathroom in the 6 birth cabins with a bath.
Lovely last minute weekend away. Perfect location - felt like in middle of nowhere but close to lots of towns. Lovely owners - delayed arrival wasnt an issue. Would return.
We stayed in cottage number 1. It traditional but could do with a bit of upkeep. New carpets, decorating etc. A shower would be nice too. However for what we were looking for it was ideal. Perhaps a list of items to bring would be useful. Eg tea towels. Soap. Washing up liquid.
Double bed needs a new mattress, it is extremely lumpy and very uncomfortable. Fridge door does not open properly due to a lump in the threshold from kitchen to larder, where the fridge is situated. We had to swivel the fridge round in order to open the door. Bath is OK, but has no shower attachment, making washing hair difficult. Even a shower attachment that goes on the taps would help. Instructions on the use of the cooker would be helpful as some people are not used to electric cookers. I could not fathom out how to work the oven and put both diasl on before the light came up. ...more
