We spent a lovely 5 days in the lodge. It was very peaceful and we especially enjoyed the dark skies in the evening. The lodge was lovely and warm and we were very comfortable. The surroundings are great - our dog enjoyed the woods and a walk along the footpath, and just hanging around the verandah chilling. Lots of lovely beaches for walks, some nice cafes and shops in Alford, and markets in Alford and Mablethorpe during our stay. We really enjoyed ourselves and have already booked again.

I love the cabin and it is well equipped, the site is very relaxing and peaceful , the only reason I lowered my score is The settee and chairs are very uncomfortable need replacing and well past their use and a new mattress maybe in the double bed .
This was my 3rd year I have been , and this time I'd rather sit on my deck chair

We keep coming back to this beautiful relaxing location. It is always comfortable and welcoming . It's to be expected after this time that some things are a little tired eg the cooker and sink etc, though not faulty, could be brought up to date for convenience and ease and the sofa has sunk, tho efforts have been made to bolster it. It's completely understandable that WiFi is limited in a rural location, with that in mind, the radio (with faulty cd) and dvd (with faulty audio) could perhaps be updated for entertainment on those rainy days. It must be said though, we will be back! And if these thoughts are useful, then I'm sure we'll enjoy our stay all the more.

The cabin is in a very calming place. The tranquility and silence is lovely. The cabin is old fashioned its like going back in time but that's the charm of it.
The bed was comfortable enough.
The bathroom had all you needed for short break the water was very hot.
The kitchen had the basic items, I would have liked a colder fridge especially in this warm weather.
We had a bulb go in a lamp but spares were found in a draw. The tv and dvd was nice to have but sitting outside was so relaxing. The sofa and armchairs were very uncomfortable but we spent most of the time outside, the outside table and chairs were OK, but was pleased we had brought our own sun loungers. Our dog loved all the sounds and new smells.
Would go again.

Been to park farm many times and always enjoy the feeling of getting away from it all. The decor may not be up to date but to us it adds to the getting back to basics feel. We will be back for Christmas and will book again for bonfire weekend to save my dogs having a panic attack with all the noise at home.

Absolutely beautiful location and had everything we needed for a nice long weekend.
Very clean, dog friendly, and very simple to organise with the owners.
The cabin is a little bit dated inside and does not have the most comfortable bed but this will not stop us from returning, Ideal for what we were looking for, a few days in the woods with our dogs, and also close to Mablethorpe beach which was a lovely bonus.

I stayed here before over 20 years ago and have fond memories of my visit then. But the cabins haven't changed at all since that time and are now overdue an upgrade. It's a great location though with the coast and Louth only a short distance away but you do need a car as very little is within walking distance

On the positive side, the cabins are in a lovely peaceful spot in a lovely location, perfectly placed for visits to the coast and the wolds. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The heating is good and the cabin therefore warm.
However, the fixtures and fittings are old and worn out. The cabin we stayed in needs a thorough upgrade and re-fit, examples:
The taps on the sink need to be turned many times before water comes out.
The wiring needs replacing, I could feel a slight shock/ vibration from the switches to the wall lights
The setee and chairs are so worn out the owners had placed some more cushions from another (old) suite underneath in an attempt to prop them up.
There were only 4 of each item of cutlery, and crockery and no wine glasses at all.
The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in.
It is very dark in the cabin, whilst we understand that it is all wood and in a wooded area, Velux windows in the roof would have let in more light.
Alan from Rotherham stayed at Pheasant for 5 nights in September 2020
Alan Burkitt replied more than 1 year ago
The settee and chairs are quite firm but are low. We put brand new supplementary cushions in them to make it easier for older people to get up.
The light switches in the lounge are fine, they are touch switch / dimmers and they do vibrate slightly.
There is a problem with LED lights in that they do not dim, they are either on or they go out.
Because of corona virus we have removed as much from the cabins as we can. If anybody wants anything that is not there they have only to ask.

Really in need of updating. Everything very old. Didn't look like it had been cleaned from previous guests. The bath and toilet mat were filthy. I don't like to give bad reviews but this didn't justify a satisfactory one. It had a fusty smell. All the cupboards needed a good clean. We realise the setting is woodland but it could have been so much better if the owners would improve the fittings. Taps dripped and the central heating didn't work it was so old. They could charge a bit more for better facilities.
Margaret from Bakewell stayed at Pheasant for 3 nights in August 2020
Alan Burkitt Park Farm Holidays replied more than 1 year ago
This cabin had certainly been cleaned and sanitised before these people arrived. They had the misfortune of coming when the weather was very wet and there were gales. There were needles and foliage off the pine trees everywhere.
The central heating is controlled by a timer to set the times for coming on and off, and a thermostat on the wall opposite the boiler. All under control of the occupants. I know it was working before they went in and after they came out. If they were unable to set it to their liking they could have asked for help.
Great

Everything you need if you want rest and relaxation ! Lovely cabin , situated in the middle of the woods ! All that you need is in the cabin so you don’t have to leave if you don’t want too ! Washing machine and tumble dryer too , perfect if you are taking kiddies with you or you a staying for a week or two and don’t want to take washing home ! ....... All what you need is in the cabin , pots , pans , etc even a bath mat for when you get out of the shower ! ( I always take a bath mat wherever I go ! ) ......added bonus was the WiFi which I didn’t expect ....... all in all a lovely stay and wished I had stayed longer , will definitely return ...... this is a place where you can stay all year round as it’s cosy in the winter months and it would be lovely in the warm summer months under the trees !

I've been visiting Park Farms for 25 years, unfortunately I don't think the decor has changed in that time. The cabins are so lovely and cosy, but the boiler needs to be serviced (lots of loud banging - tried to report when we handed back keys but no-one was home) sofas and mattresses need to be replaced as does the cooker that took more than twice as long to cook anything. The bathroom is in desperate need of a make over, the shower hardly works as there is no water pressure. Myself and my family love these cabins, but they really do need an update with the above. Family who run the farm are always lovely, left us mince pies and put up a few Christmas decs which the kids loved. With a few small changes these cabins will be back to their former glory

If you want a secluded location far from the madding crowd look no further. One of 4 log cabins, in woodland on a private estate. Accommodation was as described, the owners delightful, accommodation well equipped including free Wifi. It was great to get up early walk across the feels, and see wild deer, phesants and other wildlife.
Not too far from seaside resorts, but would recommend Gibraltar Point bird sanctuary 17 miles away, with very quick visit to Skegness to remind yourself why this lovely secluded location is so special.
I would recommend it highly and may well visit again

We needed to find accommodation within a few miles of Alford, and of South Reston, where our friends were planning functions to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. One of the log cabins at Park Farm suited us perfectly as it was within easy reach of the venues and also close to the lovely promenade between Sutton and Mablethorpe.
The cabins at Park Farm are very cosy and comfortable, and they are delightfully situated just off the 'beaten track' but within easy reach of the main roads in Lincolnshire.
Everything was provided for a self contained holiday and we would recommend Park Farm to anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant retreat, away from the bustle of a busy town.

We had a great time staying at your log cabin. It was just what we wanted near enough to the coast and some great walks for our dog.

Beautifully located in a pine wood, the wooden cabin offers peace and quiet whilst being accessible to both coast and country. The accommodation is quite basic but has everything you need and is comfortable and cosy. A great place to stay.

We hope to return and holiday again in this location, the cabin was better than expected and the area was very nice. The beaches in this area are very clean and the sand must be perfect for children to play in.

So quiet just the birds singing and so relaxing. The cabin was nice and clean and very cosy and comfy just what the doctor ordered. Back again at the end of this month.
