This gorgeous 3-bedroom house would be perfect for a family break in York. It is situated only a brief stroll from Bishopthorpe Road (Bishy Road" as it is known locally), 15 minutes’ walk from the station and 10 minutes’ walk to town, it is ideal. It has everything that you need inside and is finished perfectly finished outside, with a seating area, built in BBQ and even an outside bar! A fabulous house, in a fabulous area, for a fabulous family escape!

Great property, great location… tastefully decorated, plenty of space for everyone, beds were comfortable and clean! We would definitely stay again!!

Lovely house which has been beautifully decorated in keeping with the age of the property. Location was good for getting in to the city centre which was about a 10 minute walk. There are a few nice cafe/bar/restaurants at the end of the road as well as a couple of food shops which are very convenient. The house is also not far from the rail station and there is a car park just along the road. The house itself is very comfortable, especially the beds, and there is a nice outside space with garden furniture to enjoy which we made the most of, however the garden can be quite noisy as there is a busy road circling the house front and back. This also meant that we couldn’t have the windows open at night as the noise of the traffic was quite disturbing. The road also means there is no way of packing or unpacking your car outside the property and the lack of parking meant a hefty additional charge for the weekend as we had two cars with us. Apart from the negatives, I would recommend the property to anyone looking for a nice property for a family get together.

Our family stayed here for a special birthday weekend. The house overlooked the historic walls, had some wonderful bars, restaurants and amenities on the doorstep and was a short walk into the city centre with all it has to offer. Despite being located on a busy road to the front and to the rear, the house was quiet and peaceful. The outside space was private and provided a lovely space to enjoy the last of the summer sun and gave space for play. Inside the house was clean and spacious with a modern but homely feel and some personal, luxurious finishing touches which made our stay relaxing and the house lovely to spend time in.

Had a fantastic stay at this property, beautiful decor & excellent additional items included such as teas, coffee pods, pasta & wood for the fire.
Great location however parking isn’t the best for unloading luggage.
Will definitely use stays again, very friendly, polite staff which go the extra mile.
My only gripe would be the check in & out times. Midday to midday would be much better for the premium price you pay.
