We had a lovely stay overall. The house is in a fantastic location, the décor is beautiful, and the beds were really comfortable. Parking was a little tricky when we first arrived, but once we’d parked, the cone provided to reserve the space outside the property was a great idea.

The only reason we marked cleanliness down slightly was because the cleaner didn’t leave until around 10 minutes after the 4pm check-in time, so the floors were still soaking wet when we arrived. There were also a few cobwebs in the bedrooms, and the barbecue was left very dirty with rubbish from previous guests, so we had to clean it ourselves before we could use it.

Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Shorethwaite, the house was beautifully presented and very comfortable with everything you need for a week away. The bottle of wine was a really nice touch and the house was a real home from home. Stays York were really good too, regarding communication and assistance with booking. I would definitely use them again. We would also definitely stay at Shorethwaite again if we return to the area. Would highly recommend.

House is well equipped and very clean. The location is absolutely central in Amble and i would recommend it, even for people with pets, as it was ideal for our Dog.
