Staying here in October with three best friends and my canine companion (wives at home) for a big birthday. Excellent location and superb property to enjoy the best of Rhosneigr and the isle of Anglesey. The house is ideal with 3 en-suite double bedrooms, plenty of room for all. Well equipped kitchen for steak night and wonderfully warming breakfasts. Very spacious and comfortable lounge for post walk destressing. Highly recommend this place as one of the best in the village.

Nice house on 3 floors. Limited storage in 1st & 2nd floor bedrooms. No toilet on main floor just en suite. Huge lounge good for evenings. Kitchen small for the size of house. Very little in the way of useable essentials. Welcome pack was a packet of biscuits which was a bit mean and just a carton of long life milk in the fridge. Configuration of lights interesting in kitchen/dining room.
Main issue was we couldn’t get out of the back of the house so had to use the front but no hooks for coats or anywhere to leave sandy walking boots without making a mess on the carpet.
We have stayed in properties that suit us better.

This was our second stay at Ancones and the level of cleanliness was so much better this time that when we stayed before at Easter. This house is great for a larger family or even friends staying together due to the privacy afforded with every bedroom having its own bathroom. Brilliant views of the sea combine with exciting jet take offs at Valley from the kitchen window - we loved watching from here. The lounge area is really decent size with plenty of seating on 2 large sofas and an additional chair. The property is in the upper part of the village which is close to several short walks down to Crigyll beach and a 10 minute stroll from the main centre of Rhosneigr which suited us perfectly. The space outside is fabulous with patio seats and a built in BBQ which we took advantage of during our first week there when the sunshine was so beautiful. During our stay a light stopped working in one of the en-suite bathrooms and Anglesey Holiday Lettings got an electrician out to fix this the very same day which was much appreciated by us (thank you). All in all I would recommend this as a holiday stay as for the price as I feel it reflects value for money for the quality of the property which is well maintained but does show some wear and tear in a few places.

Lovely property and great location in Rhosneigr next to the beach and dunes with fabulous views from the kitchen/dining area.Very well presented home with a paved back garden and seating area ideal for relaxation. Close to local amenities with a good selection of cafés, pubs and restaurants. So many places to explore on the island and mainland with stunning views and walks. Definitely recommend this property and Anglesey.

We stayed for a week with our daughter, son in law and grandson at Easter and found Ancones a well furnished and welcoming bolthole with spacious rooms and good facilties to accomodate us being together as well as having our own bedrooms/bathrooms. The accomodation is presented well and the owner has been thoughtful in their choice of furniture, decor and art work. The view of the sea over the roof tops at the back from the kitchen is lovely. We had some pretty stormy weather whilst we stayed which blew a fence panel over in the back garden. We contacted Anglesey Holiday Lettings as we had our dogs with us and needed a secure space. They were quick to respond and sent their maintenance person out who moved the panel to safety and we just had to ensure we kept our dogs on leads for the rest of the stay. We have stayed in many propertes in Rhosniegr and Ancones did not disappoint in terms of accomodation. However, the standard of cleanliness could have been far better - I had to clean the cooker top, worksurfaces in the kitchen, the fridge, all the shower edges and mop floors upstairs and down on our arrival which did not do this lovely property the justice it deserved. We have booked this property for 2 weeks in the Summer and hope the cleaners do a better job for our next stay.

We had a great week in Ancones. Three bathrooms gives flexibility and privacy. Great location and we loved walking to the beach and shops. Handy parking. Some areas are a little tired so I gave a 4. The kitchen needs much more crockery. More mugs, plates. We had to constantly wash up the mugs. The sofas aren’t very comfortable and the upstairs bathroom radiator needs replacing. The heating worked very well. Noise travels between the floors but overall a very pleasant stay. The free golf option was fantastic. Very friendly staff at the golf course.

Property was comfortable and spacious. Kitchen was well equipped. Good location, short walk to town centre and very close to excellent beaches.
Two parking spaces a bonus.

Booked this property because all the bathrooms were ensuite, however they would benefit from a deep clean as there was quite a lot of unpleasant mould.

After holidaying in Rhosneigr for the last 15 years and always with Anglesey Holiday Lettings, this was our first visit to Ancones, and it certainly won’t be our last. Great location, 5 minutes to the beach and a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The house itself is brilliantly laid out, each bedroom with its own en-suite which gives privacy to all guests. Well appointed kitchen with everything you need and fabulous views from the window. Great patio area at the rear and very secure which was great for the fur kid! Highly recommend.

Excellent property, perfect location. We visited early Feb and the property was really warm and cosy but very spacious, very well equipped with good quality fittings and furnishings. We went with friends so the bathrooms off each bedroom iare perfect....we will be back.

Lovely accommodation right near the beach.
Just a few minor complaints. You might like to consider putting a blackout blind in the kitchen because the sun is on that room all day and was a bit uncomfortable to sit in there especially as it’s also the dining room.
When we arrived and opened some of the windows the fire alarms went off and we had no idea how to turn them off but it was resolved eventually.

Fourth stay , in this lovely house , perfect for our family get together , having 3 ensuite bedrooms is a big plus , everyone had their own space ! We had a four night stay at the house, which was exactly as promised. The house was in a great location literally a few minutes walk to the beach and the house had everything anyone would need. The Wi-Fi was good enough for my son to still play his Xbox at night so he was happy. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and even had some treats for the dog included as well

The location of this property is fantastic just a stones throw from the beach which was stunning. The property was immaculate with more than enough bedding, towels and kitchen equipment. Would recommend this property and hope to return for another short break next year.

Would definitely stay again it was perfect for what we needed. One thing I would say is the windows needed cleaning both internally and externally. Externally will be based on a window cleaner schedule of course but the internal stairs window was quite grubby and it’s the first thing you see as you walk up and obviously peer through as it’s an unusual feature. The back bedroom has next to no storage for clothes so we left everything in the suitcase.

This is a very comfortable house, on 3 floors. The kitchen was well equipped and the patio area at the back was lovely in the evening sunshine. Very close to the beaches too.

The house is well located about 5 minutes or so walk from the village centre and very close to beach access on Warren Road.
Having a bathroom for each bedroom is a great feature especially having teenagers in the group. Living room and kitchen/dining area are good size, furniture and appliances are good quality.
The rear area is pleasant and has a hose for washing off sand etc. but can only be accessed from inside the house as both side and rear gates are locked, so the ground floor corridors need regular sweeping.
A very nice house and we all enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place, great location to visit the surrounding areas. Seeing the jets take off and land was great. Also the free golf at Anglesey Golf Club a real bonus.

One slight issue was creaking floorboards.

Two weeks in our favourite location and as ever, Rhosneigr was kind to us with two weeks of sunshine in April

If you don't mind a 10 minute walk to the centre (which we didn't as it's very busy these days) then Ancones is perfect. There's off road parking, 2 spacious ensuite bedrooms downstairs. A massive lounge and kitchen on the 2nd floor and another ensuite upstairs. Lovely sunshine in the kitchen with fabulous views.

Property was incredible, we loved our stay! We stayed during storm Eunice but didn't mind the bad weather as it just meant spending more time in this amazing property. It has everything you could possibly need for a brilliant holiday. The location is fantastic, a short walk to the local amenities in the village centre, 10 minutes to the local station and 5 minutes walk to the beach which is really special. Anglesey holiday lettings were brilliant too, there was a maintenance issue involving wind damage to the back gate which was dealt with promptly and professionally despite the fact that the stormy weather was still raging! We were so impressed with the company and Rhosneigr that we've booked another break for this Easter! Unfortunately Ancones wasn't available but I have every confidence that the property will be of a similar high standard.

This was our 3 rd stay , in this lovely house , very spacious and comfortable it's ideal for a family , with the advantage , of ensuite to each bedroom , We had one small issue with television , which was dealt with quickly , can't fault Anglesey holiday lettings . What can I say! Ancones is a fab place to stay. An easy walk into the town itself and very near to the beach. The furnishings, in Ancones, are class. Plenty of kitchen items. Linen excellent and lovely big towels. Loads of DVDs to watch, during the dark evenings and also some games We had the top floor because of the floor space. All bedroom have nice spacious bathrooms and, although we didn't use the ouside area, we did notice nice garden furniture and also a BBQ. The only downside to the property, although it didn't affect ourselves, is a lack of a toilet on the middle floor, where the longe and kitchen are. Might be a slight negative for those with limited ability or, small children. I didn't notice if there were stair gates but I'm sure that would be easy to find out.
Rhosneigr itself, although very small,is an amazing place. It's lost a couple of shops and cafe/restaurants but, talking to some of the locals. I believe there are plans for new businesses opening. The beach is amazing with lovely rock pools and, sand. Ideal for the young ones. We've spent many happy hours, with the grandchildren, there.The house couldn't be much nearer to it.
All in all, a really lovely, comfy property to stay in. Thanks Ancones!!!

Great accommodation, it was very clean and well furnished, each bedroom was en-suite and 6 people could easy stay here, living room had good quality furniture and the dining area had views over the bay. House has parking to the front of the property, dog friendly and has free wi fi, there are a good choice of pubs within a short drive, The Oyster Catcher and Sandy Mount Hotel are both worth visiting. Overall the accommodation is very nice, great value and we had a lovely break

What a delightful week we had at Ancones. The house was far better than we had expected, 200 metres or so from the beach and only a very short walk to the village centre. The house was over 3 floors with the living room and kitchen/ diner on the middle floor and bedrooms on the ground floor and top floor.

The garden area has been tastefully paved over so we were able to use the BBQ and patio furniture on more than one occasion in the sunshine.

We arrived in 3 cars and there was sufficient parking space for them all, which was a pleasant surprise.

In terms of negatives, there were two but they did not detract from the holiday. One of the double bedrooms was very small and did not have any wardrobe or hanging space. And the flooring in the attic conversion was exceptionally creaky

We have just returned from a lovely week at Ancones in beautiful Rhosneigr. This house is in a great location, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach, and a 5 minute walk to the center of the village. The kitchen has lovely view of the beach, and over to RAF Valley, where you can watch the fighter jets take off and land (they are VERY loud, but its very cool to watch).

The back garden is very sunny, and has lovely rattan furniture to relax on. The beds are very comfortable, and each room has the benefit of an ensuite. The kitchen is well stocked, and has everything you need.

The only think I would be mindful of is if you have paddleboards or surf boards, the access to the back of the property is tricky as the gates are padlocked shut and the combinations are not provided. We had to put the board over the back gate (there is an alley with access), but it is very tall. Luckily my son is very tall!

This is a fab accommodation, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely property with beach and centre within easy reach. Very well equipped with good sized dining kitchen with view through houses of the beach and bay. Be aware it is close to Valley so you do get the RAF jets taking off and landing. The noise is terrific which we love though maybe not everyone’s cup of tea. Courtyard is lovely and well maintained with comfortable outdoor seating and a fab bbq. We didn’t get to use this but am sure is a great addition. No views from the courtyard but it is a nice little sun trap and secure for those with dogs. Watch out for the jackdaws when having food outside - they are a bit cheeky!
A shame there isn’t hanging space for clothes in the double bedroom but there is a hanging rack in the twin room. Also hanging room in the eves of top bedroom with plenty of chest of drawers space.
Beautiful white fluffy towels are plentiful and comfortable beds.plenty of hot water.
Everywhere was nice and clean.
Things worth a visit: A must is a visit to The Hidden Gardens just through Menai. This is more ideal for those with no walking difficulties to get the full benefit as it is very up and down. Wheelchair access is available but you do get a restricted tour of the gardens. Go to website to check open days and timings as it isn’t open every day. We went on a drizzly day and kept more or less dry due to the huge trees and foliage so don’t be put off if it is a bit rainy.lovely cafe there too with outside courtyard seating. Cost is £8 pp but worth it as you can spend a good couple of hours wandering around.
Secret garden in Beaumaris is also worth a visit. This is free and is accessed via a doorway on the Main Street just across the road from the square.
Lovely pizza in Rhosneigr centre and pleasant to sit and have a beer there with your pizza.
A walk around the lake near the Oyster Catcher is also worth doing. Access is via a wooden walkway just along the main road which runs by the Oyster Catcher. Look out for property White Gables and the walkway is just a few yards past this. If you go all the way round you come out onto the main road near the Oyster Catcher. You can add to your walk by crossing the road and going through the dunes along the beach and back into Rhosneigr with a stop at the little ice cream shop - fab ice cream!

Overall this is a very nice property and good value for money. The beds were a little hard for our personal taste and the quilt covers did not fit the quilts properly. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and had lovely soft fluffy towels. The kitchen was very well equipped and we found everything we needed. The lounge and kitchen appeared clean but after walking round in my socks for a couple of hours my socks were filthy on the bottom. This property has a nice courtyard garden and is secure so we felt safe letting our dog out. The property was also warm and cosy and only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. We had a nice 4 night break and would probably return again.

Fantastic modern property With off road parking for two vehicles. Lower floor with clean comfortable bedrooms. The first floor makes best use of the rear views onto the beach from the kitchen diner.
The kitchen is spacious and modern with every utensil / pans / plates glasses and cups you could think of. Family meals at the table lasted longer than normal due to the atmosphere created by the views onto the beach.
Safe and clean outside area with new furniture caught the last of the days son.
The top floor offered a large bed with plenty of storage and a large bathroom.
The living room had plenty of seating and was safe for young children to walk about.
The location is ideal. A path to the beach is some 200metres away and the property is about 500 metres from the High Street.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and Ancones and will definitely be returning soon

The home was comfortable with great view of the sea from the kitchen. Really close to the beach and just a 5 min walk into the centre of Rhosneigr.

Lovely house, location to beach excellent.
Quality furnishings, linen, crockery etc. Kitchen very well equipped. We would have liked a set of kitchen scales though, something for the home owner to consider, as we fancied some home baking on the rainy day we had!

Rhosneigr holiday lets are the perfect home from home. Everything you could ever need is provided - and more besides.
Took a last minute break in February half term and storm Dennis couldn't spoil it - only one day out of five where it rained all day so we went to sea zoo.
Lovely getting back each day to such a comfortable place - will definitely be back.

Our first visit to Anglesey and I’m sure it won’t be the last . The house was clean , warm and comfortable . Thank you for the welcome pack . On arrival we found the property to be as described, very clean, comfortable and as an added bonus with three large bedrooms all en-suite. Thank you for the thoughtful welcome pack and the very detailed guide. Superb view from the dining room window and although the rear courtyard was in need of a some TLC it was a perfect sun trap away from the wind. Superb television with cinema surround system and extremely comfortable and plentiful seating.

We had a lovely break at Ancones. The house was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Ideal location just outside Rhosneigr and a few minutes from the beach. Bedrooms all en-suite which was lovely as my daughter and her husband and 8 week old grandson had their own space on the top floor and my husband and I and my mother had our own space on the ground floor, four generations in one house!
Lovely big table in the dining area were we all enjoyed breakfast together. Well equipped kitchen. Fabulous sunsets every evening.
Will certainly be returning.

Enjoyable stay everything you needed was at the property, the only thing needed to improve it would have been a stair gate available for guests staying with toddlers, Had minor problem with key safe but called office and someone came out within 10 minutes to resolve it.

This was a lovely property, which was very comfortable and was in a good position.
The only disappointment was the the very late checking in time of 17.00hrs.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Ancones. I note that you say the property was very comfortable but only scored it 3 out of 5. You were also given a discounted price by the owners; costing you £15 per night per person but were also critical of the value. You have scored our service 3 out of 5; I have checked through all correspondence and everything was dealt with in a timely manner and our team was on hand if you had the need to call us. If the Housekeeper is clear of the property, we do try to get our guests in earlier during the out of season periods and our check out times are later than many other properties. Kind regards.

This was a great place to stay apart from the dreadful, really awful noise of the aeroplanes. If it hadn`t been for that we would definitely recommend the house and location. We espcially appreciated the very comfortable bed rooms and well equipped kitchen. Rhosneigr is a lovely place and it`s a great shame it is blighted by the really oppressive, disconcerting noise of the RAF.

We were 2 couples, on arrival the house has the wow factor. Great parking and easy to find the key. We had the top floor bedroom and our friends had one of the downstairs bedrooms. Which they commented on that there was only a door to hang any clothes on. It was a nice surprise to find a standard size washing up liquid, and hand washing liquid provided instead of the small sachets. The milk was welcome too. Nice touch. The location had everything within easy walk. A well equipped (apart from hanging space in the downstairs bedrooms) home which made a very relaxing and comfortable holiday.

Property inside was great, spotless, very comfortable & support from customer services top notch.
A few points to make things better from a comfort perspective - some form of hanging space in each of the downstairs bedrooms, plus a noticeable smell of drains in the front en-suite bathroom in evidence - may have been linked to work being undertaken on the services outside(?) during our stay.
Location - the sea view from the first floor dining room window could not really - in all honesty - be described as 'stunning'. Handy enough for the upper end of the beach however - linking to the coastal path towards Silver Bay.
All in all - great value - falling slightly below the 'excellent' level on three fronts for the above noted reasons.

We had a great holiday except for the first two days which were spoilt by the noisy neighbours partying all day until late at night. The house was lovely in great location with amazing views over the bay.

The property was clean and the kitchen well equipped. The main problem was that there were no wardrobes in the two downstairs bedrooms, the hooks on the doors were not adequate. The 'sea' view was tenuous, yes you could see the sea but a narrow view through several houses is not a sea view in my opinion.

Although the weather was against us we had a wonderful weekend in Ancones. We were two couples over the age of 55, and found the property to be spacious and well furnished.Having a very large sitting area and a large dining area meant that there was space for everyone. There were some limitations in the range of kitchenware but if you plan to eat out most evenings this isn't a problem. The bedroom arrangements were great with the master on the top floor and the other two double rooms on the ground floor. Having an ensuite for every room was a real bonus.

The property is within easy walking distance of all the local amenities and only a few minutes from the beach.

There was plenty of space for two medium sized cars off road - this is an important consideration for us when we book a property.

We have stayed at numerous properties in Rhosneigr over the last few years and we all agreed this has been our favourite so far.

We had a lovely stay at the Ancones. What a beautiful house which also has the added benefit of being just minutes from the beach. The house was comfortable, very stylish and had absolutely everything needed for a relaxing memorable stay. We will visit Anglesey again and Ancones will be our first choice of accommodation. Very well located, great that all three bedrooms are en-suite, brilliant sea views from the kitchen, house and furniture all very clean and in very good condition and Rhosneigr Lettings on-site rep, Jaimie, very helpful.
Suggestions to make Ancones even better.
- downstairs bedrooms need some proper wardrobe space to hang clothes. Coat hangers on the back of door is just not an adequate alternative.
- no washing line outside to dry clothes. Jaimie brought over an indoor folding dryer when requested, but outdoor drying facility is necessary too.
- an umbrella above the table in the back garden would make the table and chairs much nicer to use in strong sunshine.
- more than one front door key would be helpful, given the number of people who can be sharing the house (max 8 people).
- instructions for using the washing machine and dishwasher would be very helpful, and marking the fixed plugs in the kitchen would also be useful.
- not enough hand towels provided; only three between six guests for a week. Ditto only one tea towels in the kitchen!

Impressed by standard of cleanliness and layout, everything needed for a comfortable stay, although a tumble dryer would be beneficial as hard to dry clothes if weather bad, which it was ! .
One of the beds in downstairs bedroom collapsed and was promptly dealt with by Jamie, although a new one was not delivered as promised.
Value for money and would recommend it to friends and family.
