A little problem when we arrived there were no lights and being dark was a bit daunting for us. We located fuse box and the fuse had tripped don’t know why but the large light over entrance wasn’t working. The rest of our stay was brilliant, I would definitely recommend it to my friends and hopefully stay again my self .

This apartment, is outdated, it needs attention, it’s dirty, and it certainly isn’t value for money.

Jamie replied 285 days ago
This review is completely unfair and nothing short of damaging and unacceptable. Cleanliness 1/5. At no point during your stay did you communicate any issues with the property. Service 1/5. At no point did my team fail to deliver any communication or not process your booking efficiently. Condition 1/5. This property is serviceable, compliant and all fixtures / fittings are exactly as advertised. Value 1/5. You paid £22 per head per night for a property in the centre of Rhosneigr with sea views. If you chose to under-occupy the property; then you selected the wrong property. A very unfair review for a property that delivers complete value for location, views and amenities. You are not welcome back!

This was our 2 nd visit to this property. We felt very happy and safe. The standard of the decor is very high con sidering the age of the property. The TV gets a little more attention as the controls are not quite standard but are perfectly negotiable. Bed is extremely comfy (double) single beds not used. Our Dacshund Bertie loves this part of the world as we ddi. Highly recommend

Had a great stay. Felt at home and in an excellent location for shops and beach. Luckily didn’t have anyone in the flat upstairs so we didn’t hear any noise. We also stayed out of season so there wasn’t much disruption from the fish and chip shop or high street.

Location Great, Inside…Not So Great.

Not the most amazing first impressions. The outside of the apartment is unclean and needs a major do up. The garden you see on the pictures is nothing like it in real life, a shame. Sadly you’re not told that you’re on the main road of the village, as well as being under another holiday let where you can hear everything that’s going on above you. Your main bedroom is below the upstairs living room so if you’ve had a full day out and about, like we did, and are looking for an early-ish night being ear plugs.

The kitchen is quite dated. There is a piece of wood missing on the upper cabinets which is now pointing out, which nearly took my eye out. Thank god I wasn’t holding my baby.

Considering we paid £400 for a weekend, a lick of paint and maybe a damp/mould course wouldn’t be too much to ask for.

The main waterfall shower is fine, however the 2nd shower head is broken. It looks like it’s been broken for some time. The water pours out so you need to make sure it’s not roasting hot as you’ll burn yourself.

Curtains with a black out material in them would be a good addition to the bedrooms as the sun streams in very early so you’re up at the crack of dawn.

Cafe and pub across the road are lovely. The cafe, Notos, is particularly lovely for breakfast. A really nice vibe and reasonably priced. The bacon pancakes are a must!

Overall a disappointment, so much so we left a day earlier as we didn’t feel as though we could fully relax.

Staff with Anglesey Lettings were very helpful as we had a problem on our first evening through our own fault. Got the problem sorted as soon as possible. Lovely place to stay and great for access to the beach and local amenities. Will stay again.

We stayed at the above property for 1 week this November. Very good location not far from the beach and all restaurants. Some restaurants aren't open till the latter of the week, and had to be booked to get in even this time of year. We only had one minor issue and that was a leak. But as soon I phoned the company they were around within ten minutes to resolve the problem. Couldn't fault the customer service I would definitely use this company again.

Anglesey Holiday Lettings replied more than 1 year ago
Thank you so much for your kind review and understanding regarding the leak at the property during your stay. We hope that the refund offered to you goes some way towards expressing our gratitude, it was very much appreciated and we hope you will choose to stay at one of our properties again in the future.

A lovely relaxing week away, the property is very central in the village which is handy. Plenty of space to relax and the log burner was fab. We did have an issue of the heating not working- it felt very cold/damp when we arrived so unsure when the heating had last been used- this was promptly sorted the next morning, so great customer service. Would recommend this property as we come to Rhosneigr frequently. Perhaps a blind in the kitchen for some privacy from the road would be handy, as when it is dark and the lights on you can see through the privacy film.

We had such a lovely time staying in Bryn Awel Bach, it was our first holiday with our new born. It was a well furnished property with comfortable bed. It was close to everything which was great, but being right in the middle of town there was a lot of footfall past the property. The bedroom was a touch bright, curtains could make a big difference. We improvised to make it dark enough for baby.

We are so pleased that you were able to have a lovely family break with your newborn at Bryn Awel Bach. We have passed on your feedback regarding the curtains to the owners and hopefully this will be of great benefit to future guests who also may have little people with them! Thank you again : )

We checked in after 5pm and were disappointed to find that there was no cot or high chair for our baby despite only speaking to Anglesey holiday lettings that morning to ensure these would be available. Having received no response on the emergency number we found out that the owner was in the flat above. She was very accommodating and provided us with both, thankfully. She was also unable to make contact with AHL.
Location is great, two minutes walk from the beach. Parking is on street but we had no issues with this. The only downside to the location was that every man and his dog had a good look in on their way past so the blinds had to remain shut. It was also very noisy late into the night at the weekend, and the queue for the chip shop followed the building line going past three of the windows. Most nights people found it amusing to knock on the windows.
Cleanliness - to look at it was clean, however, it was very dusty in places you wouldn’t normally look I.e under the beds, tv and sofas. However, with small children we ended up constantly retrieving toys from these areas and did see this.
The property was well equipped, although, we could have done with more than one cupboard for storage in the kitchen for a weeklong stay.
Condition - we were told that this property had been newly renovated. Unfortunately we found it to be damp with patches of mould in the living room. The bedroom wall was so damp that a clean hand towel left on a shelf next to it was wet. We did inform AHL about this and they put it down to being recently renovated and moisture in the paint. They said this was the drying process. Having renovated many properties I know this not to be the case. The plaster was bubbled in parts, there was rust on the walls and there were clear damp patches. We took pictures of this and offered to send them. I would have to comment that AHL’s customer service was extremely poor. They never returned phone calls when they said they would and didn’t bother to inform us that someone had been into the flat whilst we were out until we asked.
The kitchen window was broken so it couldn’t be opened or fully closed which allowed a draft in. The property could have done with airing out but I imagine it would be hard to leave any of the other windows open due to the position on the Main Street. It can also be noisy when people are moving about in the apartment upstairs.
The property was decorated really well with lovely blinds on all the windows. The only thing that could have made this better was some curtains as the blinds didn’t stop the light coming in early in the morning. The bathroom was modern and well equipped with a great shower.
We would return to Rhosneigr, it’s a beautiful place and this is a lovely apartment that just needs attention in the areas mentioned. If this was resolved I would recommend to others due to the reasonable price for the area.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for your recent stay at Bryn Awel Bach. Bryn Awel Bach is a 300 year old stone property in the heart of Rhosneigr village.Guests can enjoy the convenience of being a mere stones throw from all of the local amenities and just minutes from the sandy beach at the bottom of the road. As you pointed out a request was made for both a high chair and a cot during your stay. This information was added to the housekeeping notes but unfortunately the housekeeper employed by the owner failed to leave the items for you. We can only apologise on the behalf of the owner. As you say, they were in fact delivered to you later on by the owner. With regards to the cleanliness of the property, again the housekeeper is employed directly by the owner. In this instance the owner was badly let down by their housekeeper and we are addressing this with them as we speak. Due to the age of the building, there are some issues with damp and the owners are doing everything that they can to negate the problem. We appreciate you were incorrectly told that the property has been recently renovated and should however have been informed that it has been refurbished. Our maintenance manager attended the property whilst you were out in order reduce face to face contact during these time to address the issues made regarding the damp.We can only apologise that we didn't make contact with you to advise that he had been into the property. We are glad to hear that you felt that the property was in an ideal location but agree that at times it can get a little noisy with passers by and people queuing at the chip shop around the corner, however, previous reviews would suggest that the central location is more of a benefit but we appreciate this may not be suitable for everyone. Thank you for highlighting the need for some curtains, we understand that the early morning sun, particularly in the summer time can make for early awakenings. Our Director will discuss this with the owners. With regards to customer service, we work incredibly hard to provide an attentive, helpful and friendly service in order to ensure our guests enjoy their stay but understand your frustration when we couldn't be reached by telephone. With that said, we fail to understand your thoughts that the service that you received was extremely poor. Once again we appreciate your feedback and its being dealt with accordingly.

We had a lovely stay in Rhosneigr at Bryn Awel Bach. It is stylish, spacious and is right in the heart of Rhosneigr. We travelled with our two young children, aged 4 and 12 weeks, so we wanted a convenient location and we found that this flat suited our needs perfectly. The entrance porch was particularly useful for storage after sandy days at the beach. A great property and would definitely recommend!

Being right in the heart of the village, it's the perfect place for both the village amenities, cafe's and restaurants and then just a short walk to the beach. We really hope to see you again soon.
