What a fantastic place to stay that is certainly 10/10!

The house is perfect with everything you need for a family stay, plenty of space, excellent furnishing and nice and comfortable throughout when relaxing of an evening. The welcome pack was a real added bonus and logs for the wood burner.

The location is brilliant, you are right in the heart of the centre of Rhosneigr with so many excellent places to eat out. But to top it off you are literally 100 yards to the fantastic beaches and places to hire water sports equipment.

We will definitely be back and returning to this house without a doubt.

Had a fantastic 10 night stay at Driftwood. The house was really well furnished to a high standard Location was excellent, Within 150 yards there was a Great Corner shop, a fantastic Pizza take away a couple of cafes a pub, a bar (open at weekends) & and a pub/restaurant The house had sea views from the rear decking & rear bedroom. Stayed in Rhosneigr several times now as it is a great base to explore the rest of Anglesey as well as having all the Great Amenities' you could ever need on a break away from home.



Looked a lot better in the advert. Feel mislead, disappointing stay.

Good location but - Heating not working upstairs and velux window was very drafty. Downstairs bed needs a new mattress. Advert said off-road parking for 2 cars to rear of property but the info pack said just 1 car and had to park on another street because there were cars permanently parked out the front of the property. Also advertised as dog friendly but when you get there in reality your dog has to stay in kitchen! We’ve booked many times with AHL but won’t rush back to this property

Bathroom very poor.Small,badly lit.Not up to todays standard.
Parking space at front just a small gap between yellow lines,anyone could and did use it for access to local shop.

Well fitted kitchen and nice welcome pack supplied

Claimed to be dog friendly and charged accordingly but areas of house signed do not let your dog in this room!

Driftwood was delightful. It was well equipped even with nice touches like firewood. The beds were very comfortable and the location was perfect for a morning beach stroll or watching the sunset from the balcony at the back. The only issue was struggling to get down the alley at the back to park due to other road users blocking access by blocking the wider entrance and another parking hanging over the access but this doesn’t reflect on Driftwood. Would certainly come again.

We’ve been to this property many times before as it is perfect for our needs. Plenty of room for four of us in easy reach of all the beaches and a well stocked shop 50 yards away! We’d recommend it to anyone!

We have stayed at Driftwood many times and love it here - as do our dogs! So sorry to hear it was not available for lettings next year but the lovely people at Anglesey Holiday Lettings have helped us find somewhere else for . We had a lovely stay at Driftwood, celebrating my wife's birthday and my son's final week as a med student, on placement at Bangor Hospital.
The house was perfect, in a great location for stunning beach and coastal walks with our dog Nelly, yet only a short drive to Holyhead, Beaumaris and Red Wharf Bay when we wanted to explore the Island.
Our walks in Newborough Forest, on the beach and on Llanddwyn Island, whilst looking across to Snowdonia National Park were simply spectacular.
We'll definitely be visiting again.

Driftwood is ideally situated less than 5 minutes walk from the beach, and in the centre of Rhosneigr. The property is very spacious for four people, the kitchen is well supplied with crockery, cutlery and other cooking utensils.

The bedrooms all lacked storage space, two of the handles on the drawers in the bedroom downstairs were unattached rendering each drawer unusable, and there was no wardrobe space. The upstairs bedrooms had drawer storage (not much) but no hanging space.

The two lounges were very comfortable and the log burner in one of the lounges would be cosy in winter. The kitchen window didn't seem to close properly and let in a lot of sound and a draught.

We felt that whilst the property was clean on the whole, but the kitchen cupboards and cutlery drawers hadn't been cleaned properly. We wonder if these were missed as there is quite a lot of additional but unnecessary decoration/accessories throughout the property which would increase the amount of time spent cleaning. It does need de-cluttering as it's excessive. The property would have as much character without these additional items.

Finally the document we were provided by the letting company on arrival did have some mistakes in, wi-fi password is incorrect, and the location of the thermostat is incorrect. This needs updating as it took me 10 minutes to find it (hidden behind one of the pot plants in the lounge, but the document states it's in the kitchen.).

Overall we had a lovely stay but addressing the above points would have made it exceptional.

This was our 3rd stay at Driftwood and we have booked for our 4th! The accommodation is wonderful with a beautiful, beachy look and feel. There is the added bonus of two lounges - one for the dogs and a luxurious one for the humans with a balcony! The location really couldn’t be better as well. Thank you for the lovely welcome pack and doggy treats! Look forward to next year.

The third time staying at Driftwood, definitely a firm favourite now! The location is fantastic, shops, cafes and restaurants all within minutes and the beach 2 minutes down Beach Road.
The house is really well equipped with everything you need. Gorgeous log burner which we definitely didn’t need this time but the decking on the back was a real sun trap!
Can’t wait to come back, already booked for a short break in December.

As a family of four with children ages 12 and 9, we had a fantastic stay at Driftwood. It is a large property with quite an unusual layout stretching from the front to the back of the property, so there is plenty of space inside and the two outdoor seating areas were very sheltered and provided a great option for sitting outside, as we had excellent weather all week. The house is well-equipped and comfortable; the children enjoyed having a bedroom each so that they had their own space, there was also a useful desk in the twin room which was really helpful, if you need to work. The sea views from the back deck and and the upstairs double bedroom were a bonus and we enjoyed some fabulous sunsets in the evenings.
Just two minor negatives - there was very little storage space, particularly in the 2 double bedrooms, and a chest of drawers would have been really useful for our clothes. Also, it may be a little tricky to manage with just one small shower room, if there were six people sharing the property.
However, I would highly recommend Driftwood as we had a wonderful stay, made by the fact that we were so close to the beach and could pop back in a few minutes if we had forgotten anything.

We have been holidaying in Rhosneigr for over 10 years using Anglesey Holiday Lettings staying in a different number of their properties and this is the first time we have stayed in Driftwood but it definitely won’t be the last!! What a fantastic place, the location is perfect, a 2 minute walk to the beach and great access to restaurants and shops. The house itself is amazing, quirky and fabulous. The 2 lounges are both beautiful, the only difficulty is choosing which one to sit in! The log burner in the front lounge was very welcome in February and the back lounge lovely and peaceful to rest and relax in. All the bedrooms are great, we had every intention of sleeping in the king size on the ground floor but when we went upstairs to the double fell in love with room and the views! The kitchen is really well equipped and has everything you need. There was a lovely welcome pack, the filter coffee much appreciated and our German Shepherd loved the dog bed provided and the biscuits!
Can’t recommend this property enough and are already looking at dates for our next stay!

We have stayed in Rhosneigr many times, but never at Driftwood. The home was perfectly located in the village, close to the bars shops and the beach.
Driftwood itself had a homely rustic feel and was very clean when we arrived. There was everything within the property that we needed, and the personal touches were very well received, and communication was great.
When we come back to Rhosneigr, we will certainly want to stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Driftwood. The location was perfect for us and having a parking space was a huge bonus. The welcome pack was incredibly thoughtful and the best we've ever received! The design and decor of the house was also really creative and worked well. We were fascinated by the planes at RAF Valley and the beach was just beautiful. The only downside was that the bathroom was rather small, but this would not prevent us from returning. For anyone on the larger side (height or otherwise), this could pose an issue though.

Our first time at Driftwood and we were not disappointed. The accommodation had everything we needed and catered for my husband and I, our son and his partner and their two children perfectly, giving us all plenty of space for all our individual needs. The two staircases to the upstairs bedrooms worked well, making everyone feel they had their own undisturbed space. The views of the sea from the back bedroom and balcony were superb, especially the sunsets. Close to everything you wanted in Rhosneigr without having to get the cars out. Would definitely choose to stay here again when we next visit Rhosneigr.

This is a great property to stay at with lots of space and very convenient for the shops and restaurants of Rhosneigr. Only complaint is bathroom being too small for the size of the property. Lovely outside space to make best of the morning and afternoon sun. Will come again.

We absolutely loved Driftwood. It felt like home from the second we walked in. Beautiful and spacious. Thank you for the welcome pack it was very much appreciated by us and the dog. Brody loved his treats.

Had a excellent stay in driftwood. Beautiful and warm and cosy. This was our third stay and I would highly recommend. Very close to shops and only a stones throw to the beach which we enjoyed every day. Lisa and Bret the owners are always at the end of telephone if needed. Lovely and warm especially with the log burner. Beds very comfy will definitely book again.

We loved our stay at Driftwood. We had had to postpone our trip due to the various lockdowns so it was a much anticipated holiday and exceeded our expectations.
Driftwood was perfectly situated so close to the beach and having restaurants and cafes nearby. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived which is especially important at the moment.
The layout was ideal for the two of us and the dogs having everything on one floor as we used the downstairs bedroom.The house is very comfortable and is well equipped. There were some lovely touches, like the bottle of wine, biscuits and even dog treats and a dog bed and towel to use. Anglesey Holiday Lettings have been great to deal with as we had originally booked for May last year but we’re able to move the holiday without issue. Just one thing to mention although it didn’t spoil our stay is that the lounge which accesses the balcony is dog free. Not a problem for us as our dogs liked the wooden floors in the rest of the ground floor and the other lounge off the kitchen and dining room is very comfortable. Would love to return although as mentioned in a previous review, the prices do seem to have increased quite a bit.

Had the whole family to stay for the W/e and the Cottage suited us fine. Handy to the beach and the Sandy Mount Restaurant!
Good facilities and lovely and warm. It was well equipped and having off road parking at the rear was a bonus.
Only small issue was the Bathroom light was a bit dim for showering and shaving.

We visited Anglesey last year with my parents and our two dogs. We had walked past this property many times and thought it looked the ideal property for our next visit. We booked our stay at Driftwood shortly after that. The photos looked really impressive and we knew this was the house for us. When we arrived in September 2021 it did not disappoint. The house was perfect for our two dogs, especially the outside space. There was plenty of room with 3 bedrooms (two doubles and one twin). However, there wasn't much storage space for clothes etc, only coat hangers hanging from the wall. I am sure a small wardrobe could have been placed in both double bedrooms. Although none of the bedrooms had en-suite, there was a bathroom with shower and and additional room with toilet and sink. The kitchen was large, however, we did think that it was lacking in space to store food. We are a family who don't dine out a lot so we had brought our own food, there just wasn't enough space to store. Other than that the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, cooking pots etc for our needs. The views from the lounge and upstairs bedroom were stunning, especially with a gorgeous sunset. There was a patio leading out from the lounge, which was lovely to relax on a warm evening. Even though the property fronted on the main road, there was very little noise. There is approximately 3 spaces to park at the front of the house but this was pot luck whether you got a space or not. There was a parking space round the back of the property but quite tight. I would recommend trying to park on the front whilst unloading your luggage (I parked round the back and had to do a few trips up and down the steps!!). Overall this property was fantastic. Could not fault and highly recommend. The only downside is that since we booked in 2020 for 2021, the same property now as increased by approx £300 for the same week, so this moves us out of our budget. But hopefully we will be back one day :)

Excellent cottage beautiful and clean and very spacious and comfortable. Owners Brett and Lisa are a lovely couple always on hand if needed. That was our 3 rd time at this cottage and I have booked again for January. Entrance flat so was easy for my husband her is in a wheelchair. Beach only 2 minutes away. Driftwood is a lovely, comfortable property. Quirky touches and very well equipped. Beautifully decorated. It is ideally placed for the beaches (3 minute walk away) and pubs and for takeaway food. The pizza place around the corner is well worth a visit, delicious, and Sandy Mount House was beautiful (burgers to die for!!!)
If I had one niggle it would be the 2nd lounge, which is by far the more comfortable lounge, is NOT dog friendly. You're advised that dogs are not allowed in there. The balcony, which is a real suntrap and which we used most evenings, is situated off this lounge. As our dog has to be wherever we are we had to carry him through the lounge so he could join us!!!! Having said that we would still consider Driftwood if we decide to come back to Rhosneigr in the future.

Driftwood is a lovely cottage in the centre of the village, even though it is on the main road and near all the amenities, it's is still quiet and a relaxing place, short stroll to the beach, with lots of lovely cafes and restaurants on your doorstep, even with Covid 19, we enjoyed our takeaway meal from Sullivan's, and pancakes from Mojo's, and of course an ice cream from Chaplins is a must. We had 2 slight problems with the heating and dishwasher whilst we were there, a phone call to the owners, ( who are extremely helpful and lovely people ) with in 10-15 mins fix the problem.
Will definately stay at Driftwood again.

Four of us (adults) stayed in Driftwood which has only recently been extended to sleep six people. The seating areas both inside the property and outside were a bit of a struggle for four people let alone six and the garden could do with a bit of a tidy but I have been informed this was due to the refurb only just being finished before guests could stay due to the pandemic and therefore not giving the owner sufficient time to address the outside areas and seating areas in the property.

Apart from that the property is lovely, centrally located in the village and close to the beach but can sometimes be noisy from cars parking directly outside the property to stop at the shop a couple of doors away, but a price worth paying due to location. The property was spotlessly clean and tidy with more than adequate crockery and cutlery provided. A lovely big fridge freezer and the added bonus of a washing machine. Some areas downstairs in the property are off limits to dogs so can be a bit restrictive as the kitchen area only has comfortable seating for three people but outside is totally secure for the dogs and the cost of the property certainly is value for money.

Be careful when going around the back, there is a notice to warn you that the decking is slippery when wet on the gate but there is no warning of the steps, one of which is directly under the gate so if you arrive when dark watch your footing if going to the bins.

Anglesey Lettings are a brilliant company to deal with, very helpful and friendly and we have booked another property with this company next year but would seriously consider going back to Driftwood in the future if there were just the two of us and the dogs or the little niggles were addressed for the four of us.

Absolutely loved this cottage. We stayed for my husbands birthday and wanted somewhere dog friendly by the coast. Driftwood was lovely. Decor and location were great. Great internet connection and cooking utilities. Very clean. Only two things we were not fully happy with was the fact that there is not control of the heating..which is set to come on at various times. We had a stormy day where we had to stay in and heating had gone off.. there was a gorgeous log burner but only a very tiny amount of wood was left which went out shortly after being lit. Other than this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If it was warmer weather this would not even be an issue for us. Will definately return to this gorgeous cottage..and will be our number one choice for future anglesey visits. The stay at rhosneigr holidays were very helpful too. Look forward to booking again and thanks for being so dog friendly. Nice little welcome pack for dogs too x

We arrived during storm Dennis and Lisa the owner met us there to make sure all was ok. It was lovely to shut the door and know that we were safe and no noise from the storm inside at all!
Everything you need for a comfortable stay, beds were so comfy too! Fully equipped kitchen. Gorgeous place. We have no issues at all...it was a lovely week.

Second time staying here with my family and dog. It has everything you need as a joke from home. Any issues and Lisa messaged back straight away and got it sorted. Location is perfect and the property was always lovely and warm.
My little one love the room upstairs and slept very well whilst we were there
Only very small gripe is how squeaky the bed is but that's not enough to lose a star.
Look forward to going again next year.

This was our 2nd visit to Driftwood. We love this cottage as its extremely comfortable and warm and in a great location. It is not a huge cottage but very cosy and the upstairs room is lovely, bright and comfortable for the children to relax as well as sleep. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need. Not sure were to start, Driftwood is possibly the best place we have ever stayed; trust we have only been to the likes of India and Thailand and Fiji and Oz - Rhosneigr is the cutest, most relaxed, best beach ever, such a feeling of remoteness - the kids and mum and dad loved every minute. The place itself was magical and rustic and hi tech all at once with everything you need. We had a minor issue with one of the gates after an evening of gales and the maintenance guy was there to address the problem seconds after we hung up. WE WILL BE COMING NEXT YEAR. Love Anglesey and highly recommend Rhosneigr Holiday Lettings.

I would say an ideal place for two although there are beds for four. Perhaps a family with a couple of children. Having said that we enjoyed everything about the cottage. The location so close to all amenities. Given the layout you would not know that you were so close to the centre. Well impressed with the facilities and felt really at home. We stayed for a long weekend in November and found the house to be very cosy and comfortable for two people and a small dog. I would imagine that four people would struggle (lack of comfy seats, bathroom arrangement etc.)

We had a lovely week away despite Storm Helene and Storm Ali. Driftwood was quite difficult to find in the dark as we didn't know what the outside of the accommodation looked like and there was only a name which was on the window of the place, not on roadside furniture. The accommodation has a cosy feel and is well presented with everything you could possibly want for a week away. We struggled to operate the oven as the settings are different to ours at home and couldn't find the Handbook. Thankfully wifi works well and Google saved the day. There was no info about the heating / water or about the decking areas as we didn't know where we were allowed to go with the dogs. I would suggest that the Cottage Manual is brought up to date. There was a letter indoors with contact numbers for Rhosneigr Lettings and a mobile number. We rang both numbers, one the office was not available the other just rang and rang, so I'm glad there were no emergencies. Everything was clean and tidy.
Thank you for the goodies on our arrival, much appreciated. The beach is a very short walk away and is heavenly. I could have just sat there for the duration. Much activity on the water with boarders and surfer etc and plenty of birds for any Twitchers. Lots to do across the Island which is beautiful. Shame we couldn't find the little ginger creatures, but we will return another day.

Your feedback, as with any feedback, is always acted upon where possible and we have spoken with the owners to organise improving the contents of the welcome folder to help overcome some of the little niggles you had. We will also look into improving the map, access and directions email guests receive ahead their arrival. I'm very sorry to hear that you could not get through to us, we have an automated system that re-directs all calls to whichever phone is not busy or to whoever is on duty; I will check your number against our call log and investigate why this call went unanswered. We had a few issues the main one being the noise from the office next door, the other issues were sorted in a speedy manner. If the noise can be sorted I would recommend this property. The beds were great, the decor excellent, the location ideal.

Lovely property, great location and helpful staff! Driftwood is right next to beach and shops - so convenient and meant you didn’t really need to go anywhere else in the car. Beautifully decorated.

What a gorgeous cottage with great amenities, the location is perfect. The photos don’t do it justice, my jaw dropped when we first walked in, it was me and my partner 2 kids 6 and 1 and our 2 dogs and it was perfect, one morning we chucked our coats on and walked to the beach in wellies and pjs, made some marvellous memories and will be returning, the fire was a highlight for my partner he loved keeping it going and getting the logs, the decor and the little touches around the cottage were really lovely, can’t wait to get back there and didn’t want to leave!! Thank you for a glorious Easter Weekend from the Adams Family xx

Overall the accommodation was excellent, cosy, welcoming and an excellent location for all amenities. It was spotless on arrival and it was good to have on site parking to the rear. It was lovely that heating and lights were on for our arrival on a wet Friday evening and a doggie bed for our pooch was a nice touch. We did find poor water pressure in the shower but upgrading works were taking place up the road so could have been responsible and we would have loved a small freezer compartment in the fridge, we take the weeks supply of raw food for the dog so if we had known we could have planned differently. Otherwise fabulous and would recommend

On the whole we had a great week although the weather was not good, snow, cold and rain but improved towards the end of our stay.
We thought the initial supply of logs was poor (3) and we could not buy any more locally all sold out we had to do with sticks, but the main problem was with the log burner it didn't flame up just smoked. We initially put it down to the very strong winds, but we reported it on Sunday someone came in the evening and it was not getting any air some one had closed the knob, we didn't know that never had that type of burner before after that it was okay when we eventually got some logs. (simple instructions of use would have been good). The only other issue we had was not much ie. restaurants etc were open Monday to Wednesday apart from the pub and fish and chip shop. But both cafes were good and dog friendly but not open in the evening. Otherwise a good week.

Overall our stay at driftwood was nice. The layout of the downstairs works really well and the location for the beach is excellent. It is on te ain Road through Rhosneigr, but out of season when we went this wasn’t an issue.
Sadly the mattress on the downstairs bed was of poor quality which affected our sleep and the shower had limited pressure and heat. We have fed this back and we’re informed water works were to blame for the shower but they would look into the bed.
Some parts of the property were well cleaned however the bathroom bin had not been emptied from previous occupants and some kitchen utensils were dirty.
The letting agency were made aware of our issues and acknowledged them.

Location of property is ideal for beach. Inside of the cottage was immaculate with it's quirky and cool design. Kids didn't want to leave.

Instructions from letting agency regarding access to property were not clear. Luckily home owner was on hand to resolve this. This did not detract from our enjoyment of a wonderful break.

We really enjoyed our stay at Driftwood, it’s a lovely property just around the corner from the beach. There were roadworks right outside the house during our stay which we weren’t told about and we were disappointed with this but the lady came round and apologised herself which was nice but did put a damper on things when we wanted a quiet break. They didn’t offer any compensation for the loud noise and machinery which we thought wasn’t the best on their part. Despite this we went to see a few sights around Anglesey and still had a nice week. Once again, a lovely property and location.

We found this little gem several years ago and have returned every year since. It is ideal for our family - bright and airy, clean and comfortable with outdoor spaces to the front and rear. The welcome basket of goodies is a lovely touch. The location is perfect with the added bonus of off road parking. Thank you.
