Our family (six of us with three generations) know Rhosneigr well, and have rented a number of AHL properties over the years, but this is the first time we have stayed at Dwylan.
In summary, we appreciated everything about this house. The property itself is spacious, comfortable and has lots of different areas where family members can seek the sun or shade, or some peace and quiet, or just enjoy spending time together in the large kitchen/dining/lounge area. It is a really well-appointed property, equipped with a good range of high end appliances. There were inevitably one or two maintenance issues, of which we have informed AHL, but absolutely nothing to spoil our enjoyment.
The location is just perfect - just a few minutes from the beautiful Crigyll beach, where we walked and ran our two dogs for ages every morning. The beach was so quiet, and the few people and dogs that we met were all really friendly. And Dwylan is only a couple of minutes from the heart of Rhosneigr, with its shops, eateries and takeaways.
In summary, we loved the house, had a fabulous holiday...and have booked Dwylan for next year!

We had a super week staying in this property. Our family consisted of ages from 6years to 75 years and the house catered for all our needs ( Layout of house, equipment, furnishings etc) We loved the location. Near to beaches, shops and restaurants.
A great holiday making great memories for all the family.

Myself, my partner, 4 kids and mother in law stayed at the property for a week. The house was lovely and in a great location for the shops. The bedrooms were perfect and having two lounges meant the kids could have their own tv.

A few downsides to the property, no balcony door or garage key was provided so the kids could easily access these which was not ideal.

The front door to the property is a twist lock which when having kids in the property was not good as our 3 year old could easily turn it and just let himself out. This did happen a few times.

The Roku in the kids lounge did not work, we luckily brought our Xbox and we did notice one in the cupboard on arrival but were unsure if we could of used it as no instructions to say so.

The dressing table in the main bedroom was not screwed tight enough and this came loose when my partner moved it.

Overall we did have an amazing stay and I certainly would return but I do feel the above needs to be looked into especially for family’s staying at the property with young children

We understand your concerns regarding the accessibility of the balcony and garage areas, as well as the front door locking mechanism when staying with young children. The turn-lock system fitted to the front door is a standard type of lock used in many holiday properties and residential homes. Unfortunately, we are unable to make alterations to this locking system, and we would always recommend that parents and guardians supervise young children around entrances and exits during their stay. We are sorry to hear that the Roku device was not working but we been made aware at the time, we would have been happy to investigate this for you. We will ensure it is checked prior to the next arrival. We will also ask our Maintenance Team to inspect the dressing table in the main bedroom following your comments. Thank you once again for your constructive feedback. Comments such as yours are invaluable in helping us improve the experience for future guests, particularly families with young children. Dwylan is a brilliant house that worked well for our family. Good space with areas for a bit of quiet time too. Fantastic location being so close to the centre of the village, and a nice space to sit on the balcony in the sunshine. Garden decent size and being enclosed was great for our dog. Minor points to note would be the downstairs bed was a little uncomfortable and there’s not an awful lot of kitchen drawer items, enough but limited. Nothing that impacted our time too much though!

Mattresses can be very much a matter of personal preference, but following your feedback the owner has now upgraded all of the mattresses throughout the property. They have also added even more kitchen equipment to make the kitchen even better equipped for future guests. Plenty of space. We will be coming again to this excellent house.
The only concern was that several of the door latches do not catch and keeping dogs out of rooms was difficult.

We have had a wonderful weekend spending time in this lovely property. Very spacious, beautiful décor, loved the open plan of the living area/kitchen.
We would definitely recommend to other large families/groups. Practically on top of the gorgeous village and minutes from the gorgeous beach.

We had a great week and really enjoyed the accommodation particularly the setting. The outside space was quite limited and dirty on arrival (we had to clean it) but the kids made the most of it and being so close to the beach and with a nice 1st floor balcony it didn’t really matter. Access to board games and a big communal open kitchen/lounge was fantastic. A boiling hot tap for tea and coffee was well used by us and a great addition.
Overall it was really good but probably frustratingly it could have been absolutely great with some very easy wins.
The grill on the barbecue was so rusty it was unusable and the front door frame was cracked at the bottom. Two rooms had no wardrobe space at all and nowhere to really hang anything and the mattresses were very uncomfortable in the double and twin room. It was just a few bits and bobs like this that let it down a bit.
Position wise it was probably the best location you can ask for. Within 100 yards we had beach road with shops, takeaways and coffee shops. The beach is 200 yards and you can easily walk to the Oyster Catcher too.
We had a really good week but just a few suggestions for improvements.

We stayed in Dwylan for 5 nights June 2025. Family of 6, including 2 elderly parents and 2 dogs. House was perfect for us, downstairs bedroom and bathroom ideal for the parents. Safe and enclosed back garden good for the dogs. House is 30 seconds fromthe village centre and 3 minutes to the beach. Very very clean and all facilities provided for. We have rebooked for September.

Wonderful spacious property. Very well equipped with quality furnishings and utensils. Well positioned in heart of village just 5 minutes walk from beach. Close to shops, bars, restaurants cafes etc.
We particularly enjoyed the balcony at front of the house which is a real sun trap, ideal for topping up your tan.
We loved this property and highly recommend and will certainly return.
