Faraway is a lovely single-storey holiday home in Rhosneigr, Anglesey, perfect for multigenerational family groups and just a short walk to the beach.

Great place, suited us just fine, very kind neighbours…just one thing doors!

Two great grandparents, two great grandsons. Very spacious open-plan bungalow. Nice garden more than adequate for summer fun. We all immediately felt at home. Two bathrooms, comfortable beds and bedding. No trying to understand/or controlled heating system (as so often happens in holiday lets), just turn the switch. Thankyou for the welcome pack, nice treats. Ample off street parking. Well equipped kitchen. Beaches, shops, eats and drinks all a short walk. Jets and Red Arrows training, Faraway suited us and the boys just fine. We stayed four nights during October half -term using Rhosneiger as a base. The local beaches and facilities are good. And as we’ve visited Anglesey before had already formulated an itinerary to keep the boys busy. Sand sledging on the dunes at Aberffraw, they made friends with a couple of local children with their mum and we meandered to the beach and sea. She invited them to meet up later on Rhosneiger beach and she’d bring dinghy, life jackets, kites etc. They had a great time as we watched them and a lovely sunset. As the light faded they finally acknowledged they were blue with cold we bade our farewells happy with the serendipity nature of chance meetings and making friends. Back to Faraway for warmth and hot chocolate (from the welcome pack).
Our youngest great grandson had come prepared for Halloween and we carved pumpkins. Walking back from the shop in the afternoon we met a lovely lady (Arwen) in the neighbouring street, and she welcomed him to call on her Trick or Treating that night, telling us “they go mad for it here.” So at dusk Dracula and I set off. And Anwen was not wrong! The streets were filled with folk in fancy dress, houses lit up, pumpkins aglow. Arwen’s sister also kindly invited him to call on her and her mother across the road. We were welcomed by others too. On return to Faraway we then had lots of excited groups of youngsters knocking at our door. The best was a quartet of girls in Wizard of Oz themed costumes.. So if you go at Halloween - go prepared and join in the fun.
Next day beach-combing at Newborough, exploring LLandywyn island and finally a last day Rib Ride treat before heading home.
This is my first time using Anglesey Lettings, and compliments to them. They’re a very easy company to deal with, excellent timely communications and guides. The discounts are a bonus too.
The ‘just one thing’ about Faraway is…….three doors have been removed between living room/dining room/kitchen, and between dining room/conservatory. Totally unnecessary and serves no purpose. I suspect in winter, unable to close off rooms it could be chilly as the space is so big. My main concern though is Fire Risk. Experience shows no one expects a fire, but they occur. My sister’s was a fridge fire set their kitchen ablaze as they all slept upstairs. Through her experience whenever we stay away from home I check for fire hazards, escape routes, doors, keys etc. Faraway has an open fire in the living room and candles are around, there is just one door (which is not a fire door) separating the whole of the living area from the bedrooms. I know there are the required working fire sensors and fire precautions in the bungalow. But it makes sense to me to minimise the Fire Risk and maximise the potential escape routes especially for infirm/disabled people - simple just put the three doors back on!

Anglesey is just beautiful, always able to visit new places each time we visit. Faraway was in a quiet, but perfect location, only a 10 minute walk to the shops and beaches. Seeing the RAF jerts flying over us each day was amazing as were the sunsets you could see down the road towards the beach. Amenities within the house were good, esp the ninja air fryer, we were converted & bought one when we got home! The only issue we had was with the bed in the main bedroom, very springy and squeaked every time one of you moved, disturbing sleep but otherwise a perfect stay, thank you Anglesey holiday Lettings

From the moment we stepped into the property we felt at home. Nicely furnished, comfortable and so spacious. Well equipped for self catering including a double air fryer and a bread maker. We love Rhosneigr and this is our third visit to the village. We loved the location of the property which has easy access to all the local amenities. Lovely garden and very quiet. We were so impressed with Faraway that we rebooked for next year whilst we were staying at the property. A credit to the owners. If anything could be improved it would be to have a shelf in the shower for toiletries. Thank you for a five star stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Faraway. Lots of space, very comfortable, light and clean. Slight problem with the washing machine but Anglesey Holiday Lettings sent someone to fix the problem immediately. Such great service. It was so good that we have booked again!! The only complaint was we could not find the vegetable peeler!!

First impressions were positive with plenty of space to safely park two cars off the road. The accommodation was well laid out with a comfy leather sofa - so all good in that respect. However, the beds were really uncomfortable that’s why I can not score higher. When you go on holiday you want to sleep well and this was not possible - so invest in some premium mattresses to score well on comfort. The location was good - close to beach and town centre.

We are sorry to hear that you did not find the mattresses to your liking at the property, and of course we will pass on the feedback to the owners. However, we have not had any other issues with them or their comfort level and find that in general a mattress is a very subjective matter..previous guests that have stayed have passed on feedback that they were indeed very comfortable. We are sure that the owners take onboard all feedback, and changing the mattresses may be something that they consider in the future. Thank you again for both your feedback and your custom.

We would recommend faraway it is a fantastic location and very dog friendly and the air frier was a bonus lol We love the location only slight complaint would be thicker bedroom curtain s as light in bedroom but for a two week stay 10 out of 10 cheers

Upon entering the house we were pleasantly impressed with the gifts that were left for us. Red wine, cheese and crackers, hot chocolate packets, a spice jelly, milk, and even dog treats to name a few. The house was lovely and well furnished especially in the kitchen. It was equipped with a bread machine, ninja, four slice toaster, coffee press, two ovens, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. Close to the beach.

Check in was not util 17:00. We all thought that was a very late check in since we were paying for the whole day.
They advertised a barbecue grill which we found was locked in a container. The lock was so rusty that it wouldn't open.
You only get one roll of toilet paper and then you have to buy your own and no laundry soap for the washing machine.

Myself, partner, son, granddaughter and dog, enjoyed a wonderful 4 night break in faraway. The place was spotless, kitchen well equipped, fenced off area for the dog and comfy beds. Short walk to beach, shops, pubs/ restaurants and many lovely walks straight from the house. Would definitely stay again.
The only one tiny negative was there wasn't a shaver plug for our electric toothbrushes.

The problem with stating it was “excellent” or “perfect” – relating to our stay at Faraway in Rhosneigr – gives me pause for concern.

Having found our particular little Anglesey gem I’m loathe to share our wonderful discovery with others – in case demand is such we struggle to find it available again in the future.

But, it’s only fair to the evidently house-proud owners that we’re honest and give them credit where it’s due.

So, Faraway was pretty much perfect – exceptionally well furnished and decorated, near enough to the beach and equipped with everything anyone could want for a family holiday.

It’s the little things that are memorable though – and it was the white, fluffy, 5-star hotel towels that I’ll remember.

Whilst the weather was pretty bad, having a well-behaved labrador, meant our daily walks on the fantastic beach – just ten minutes walk away – were spent virtually alone. And the fully enclosed garden kept Obi securely in.

I suppose the question anyone would ask is: “would you go back.”

Suffice to say, on return to our Macclesfield home, one of the first things I did was to re-book Faraway – for next year.

You won’t be disappointed – I do hope that Faraway's popularity doesn’t mean that in the future we may be!

Spent four nights at Faraway.Had a lovely break away.
Place very clean,comfortable bed and everything you need.
Open plan as doors missing on lounge,wondered if it would be cold in winter.
Very convenient to beach ,local shops and restaurants.
Garden enclosed and ideal for dog.

We loved staying at Faraway. It was perfect for our family with the garden for the children and My Morher In Law loved the conservatory and a great location. We just felt it could of been a bit cleaner!

Four friends (two couples) and one dog had an extremely comfortable stay here in May. We loved the quiet, convenient location and being so close to beach, cafes and the beautiful lake walk, which we could also see from the bungalow. Plenty of space, well equipped kitchen and good showers. Sitting out in the self-contained garden was surprisingly private, thanks to clever fencing. The house was very light, and having windows facing all different directions meant that the sun was coming in from some point, whatever time of day. Rhosneigr itself was wonderful and we had a fantastic paddle boarding lesson and a great Indian meal at a local pub, as well as several lovely visits to local cafes. We were blessed with pretty good weather, but the bungalow would have made enforced staying in quite pleasurable- we were almost disappointed that we didn’t need to use the wonderful looking real fire or have a chance to play any of the board games there! Will need to go back! The booking process through Anglesey Holiday Lettings was superb, with very clear instructions. Once at the property, there was plenty of info all in a file on both the house runnings and local places.

Nice attractive bungalow in a quiet area, 5 mins walk from the beach. Spacious inside, with a bright lounge. Gardens were nice with plenty of seating. Bed was not the most comfortable we have slept in, but for a short stay was fine. A few repairs i.e the front door & painting by the curtains would make this feel a special holiday home. Overall a lovely stay in Rhosneigr. We will be returning.

The property was in very good condition, well equipped, spacious, warm and plenty of natural light.

Two bathrooms was a bonus and appreciated, the bedrooms were spacious, as indeed all the other rooms were too.

Peaceful location, but also the joy of bring able to hear the sea and a few minutes to reach the beach, which was fabulous especially for me and my dog. There are plenty of places to eat and the local people we met were friendly and kind.

We had a wonderful relaxed stay and we felt very at home here, we didn't want to leave!

Highly recommended and a credit to the owners.

There were 6 of us & we were all very comfortable in Faraways spacious surroundings. It is a very well equipped holiday home with nothing scrimped on quality.
It also looked really 'cool' & we all felt at home.
We enjoyed all the facilities in Rhosneigr especially on the beachfront but also had some interesting trips to NT properties. Eating out locally was great too.

Had a great week in rhossy.

House is in a great location in the village and was lovely and clean and had everything we needed with great safe garden for the the dog .
Definitely recommend and the starter pack including wine was a real bonus thanks.

The property was perfectly situated for all amenities in the village. Lovely position to enjoy sitting and watching the sunset. Great that the property is dog friendly.
Well presented property would definitely return or recommend.

We were so impressed with Faraway, the house is modern yet homely. We felt at home from the moment we stepped in the door. It is very tastefully decorated and the layout is extremely practical.

The location was great, such a short walk from the most beautiful long sandy beach and little village. The shop in Rhosneigr has all the basics and we enjoyed eating out in various places locally.

We are a family of 5 (3 grown up kids) and there was ample space. The rooms were comfortable with lovely bathrooms, it also had a well kitted out kitchen.
We enjoyed sitting in the garden too, we took our yellow Labrador and she loved having the space and the security of a walled garden.

We will definitely be back!!!!

We felt comfortable the moment we walked through the door. So bright and airy and lots of space. Grandparents enjoyed sitting in the warm conservatory, parents enjoyed the large living room and children loved the spacious garden. We all enjoyed sitting on the patio in the sun at the end of a beach day. Lovely, quiet location but able to walk to both beaches, the lake and the shops/restaurants. We loved watching the sunsets at the end of the day. Had everything we needed, warm showers and comfy beds. What more could you want ...

This is the second time we have stayed in ‘Faraway’ . Immaculately kept bungalow which has all you need for a happy stay. Lots of space so you are not on top of each other and a well equipped kitchen. 5 minutes walk to main beach , a little further to broad beach. Walking distance to village facilities.

Second time in Rhosneigr this year & didn’t disappoint. The properties we’ve stayed in with Anglesey Lettings are consistently excellent as Faraway was no exception. Everything you want for a relaxing holiday with a well equipped kitchen, spacious lounge, lovely comfy beds. Only slight surprise was the exposed garden - while enclosed & perfect for our dog, it faced the road at the front of the property so not as private as we would have liked when sitting in the conservatory.
