Had a glorious week in September, have stayed at Lagwn Glas several times before, and once again didn't disappoint. Everything you could need is provided and the house is roomy, warm and comfortable. Couldn't ask for more.

No hesitation to recommend and will hopefully return for another visit before too long.

We have stayed at various properties in Rhosneigr over the last 50 years, this house Is the best property we have stayed in, everything, and I mean everything is provided, we couldn't find a single fault, so much so that my eldest son who paid a brief visit to the house immediately booked it for 2025

Lovely properly very spacious , close to amenities but in a quiet area. One small issue, perhaps an umbrella for the garden as there is no shade for a lot of the day. We will be back again for sure!

When we arrived, we were just delighted - we have explored UK over last 3yrs with our dog & have stayed in some quite awful holiday homes that were nowhere near “as advertised” This one definitely was & more.
The house is in a great location up a quiet private lane.
The house is bright, spacious, airy, CLEAN, superbly kitted out, well furnished, comfortable, quirky furnishings, homely furnishings, functional, with great garden space. (sun all day until 6pm’ish) Utility room is a big advantage as we went swimming most days & were able to wash clothes & hang out to dry.
In particular, the kitchen is so well stocked with crockery, cutlery, glasses, cups etc - HUGE plus
The TV & WiFi facilities excellent
The curtains & blinds are all fabulous & very much to my taste.
Pricing for 10 days was incredibly reasonable.
Our first trip to Anglesey & we will most definitely return as we had such a great trip exploring the Island - the house really felt like a warm welcoming space that was loved.
It’s all the small touches that make this house feel like a seaside house, whilst also feeling like a very happy cared for functioning house.

We enjoyed another great stay at this property. The location is excellent with it being central but tucked down a quiet & private lane, very comfortable bed, secure dog friendly garden & even sea views from the upstairs bedroom! It’s great that the property accommodates short stays too. I’m sure we will be back again!

Stayed for a week at Lagwn Glas in mid March, weather was a bit bleak but we were warm and cosy throughout. The property has everything you would need for an enjoyable holiday, the rooms are spacious and comfy with the added bonus of a new television since our last visit, handy at this time of year. The beach is only a few minutes walk away, for walking rather than swimming in March.

Have stayed several times before and it's one of our favourite places for a break in winter or summer.Hope to have another trip there later in the year.

No hesitation in recommending Lagwn Glas as a top place to stay.

The property itself is lovely but is in need of some tlc. For example the tv is well past its best, the picture is very dark and could not be adjusted any brighter, it was like watching it through sun glasses!

Cleanliness, when going into a holiday let we always do a quick clean of the 'touch points' (switches, handles, banister, hard surfaces etc), all the Dettol wipes that we used returned with dirt on them, the property was certainly not clean. We also always select the crockery and cutlery that we think we may use and put this through a dish washer cycle, a bowl that was selected was dirty - greasy with crisp residue stuck to the inside, this clearly had not been cleaned and just placed in the cupboard.

Heating, we had read other reviews which complained about the heating and thought that it cannot be that bad, it was worse! The thermostat is situated in the entrance porch and not in the main living area, not an ideal location. The thermostat never indicated a temperature above 18 deg C and the radiators were never more than luke warm! We had to wear fleeces indoors to keep warm! The heating setting could be adjusted but this made no difference. Upon looking at the boiler the timer was set for specific on/off times and the boiler temperature was set to minimum (1 out of 6), no wonder the radiators would not warm up in what was cold weather. This may be ok in summer but not in February/March. We found this most uncomfortable and cut the holiday short returning home a day early.

Due to the above the property was not worth the money spent on the holiday, which is a pity because everything is an easy fix and the property itself is lovely.

AHL may say that we did not contact them during our stay but we thought this was pointless as we had fixed the cleanliness issue and the heating issue had been brought up previously and had clearly not been rectified for cold weather occupation.

If the issues are addressed we would recommend this property but unfortunately not in the circumstances that we were presented with.

As part of our terms and conditions, we do ask that our guests kindly report any issues on their arrival to afford us an opportunity to rectify them. Unfortunately, you did not allow us this but chose to send an email after your departure. The owners were most upset, as they had engaged with you at the property and you had told them that everything was fine. The owner appreciates your feedback and has acted upon several of the points that you very kindly raised. The TV has been replaced and instructions for the heating have been put in place. The housekeeper has been spoken to and a deep clean has been instructed throughout. Rest assured that we go to a lot of time and effort to ensure that everything is as it should be for our guests and do hope that we are able to welcome you again in the future.

Peaceful, private and spacious place to stay in the centre of Rhosneigr. We had a perfect break away with friends in the delightful atmosphere of Lagwn Glas. However, it would also have been a great place to stay with family, including grandchildren, with a safe outdoor space for them too. The owners kindly accommodated our precious elderly dog and we had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you to all.

We had a lovely stay at Lagwn Glas, however the property was missing a few essential kitchen items (tongs and a fish slice).
The property was cosy, clean and in a perfect location. We were disappointed not to receive a welcome package as we know of other properties on the area who do provide this, especially over Christmas and we' were informed that this is the responsibility of the property owner.

Still we had a lovely break in one of our favourite places.

My wife and I stayed here with our dog Otis as a last minute week away.
The location was easy to find and it was just a short walk across the road onto the wide sandy beach so perfect for seaside walks.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need and the lounge area was nice and comfy.
Downstairs has a nice open plan feel to it.
There is a small outside area and it was perfect for the dog and to pick up after him.
The property is overlooked by other properties but this didnt give us any cause for concern.
The bedroom was nicely themed and king-size bed was very comfortable.
Rhosneigr, is totally geared up for dogs which is really good. We ate out at the Oystercatcher twice which was our favourite.
Overall it was nice and quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Anglesey.

Please note that the general area is close to the RAF base so you will hear the jets going overhead.

We were disappointed that the heating was not on when we arrived, as indicated in Agency information. It never worked in the two bedrooms.
There was a total lack of cottage appliance information which led to issues with heating, hot water and washing machine on/off switch.
The owner visited on our third day and showed us the Alexa, unknown to us as we do not subscribe.
All issues could be addressed with an Information Pack.

We're sorry to hear that you were without heating upon arrival, however we do not leave on if we are not made aware of your arrival time; that would be wasteful. We did contact the owner after you called the office and we're assured they would attend the property; they did that day. We do wish that you would have called us again on Saturday morning if you were still having an issue. All appliance information is contained within the digital welcome magazine you were sent; I have confirmed delivery and receipt of that. Not a very helpful or honest review.

We had a great holiday at Lagwn Glas and Rhosneigr. We were very surprised how spacious the property was and it was in a very central location in Rhosneigr. The house had everything you could want for a comfortable stay. The weather was mixed but this didn't stop our enjoyment, having our dog with us we had several walks at various locations around the island. Great choice of bars, restaurant and cafes in Rhosneigr.

A large well equipped holiday home for us as a couple and for our family when they visited us. A few maintenance issues but otherwise well maintained and spotlessly clean. Close to the beach and amenities of the centre of Rhosneigr. Some confusion because the house is differently named so we could not find it, nor could the Tesco delivery driver. This has evidently caused problems before.

Thank you to the owner. Lots of personal details make it feel like your own holiday home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The open plan layout was lovely, light and bright with windows on every side. The kitchen was well equipped with more than enough crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking equipment. Apart from the TV, the addition of a CD player and an Alexa added to our enjoyment. The outside garden/decking area managed to catch the sun most of the day and was a relaxing place to sit and was overlooked. The location was perfect with just a few minutes walk to the beach and local shops. Rhosneigr itself is beautiful, calm and safe with a fabulous beach. We only wish we could have stayed longer and didn't want to leave this beautiful home.

Only drawbacks (and not deal-breakers at all):
- Understandably, dogs aren't allowed upstairs and, as it's open plan, it's not always easy to police; if we had known we could have taken a baby-gate with us as well as the dog's crate.
- As we were there on a bin collection day, we had to trundle a large black bin with three weeks worth of rubbish and three smaller recycle bins down a long stony drive to the roadside the night before collection and then drag them back up the long drive after collection.
- We were bit disappointed not to have a welcome pack and had to make a quick dash to the local shop for milk on arrival that evening.

Having said the above, I wouldn't hesitate to book this lovely home again and would definitely recommend it and Anglesey Properties. This was my second booking with them and they have always been friendly, helpful and professional.

A lovely few days in Rhosneigr. Lagwn Glas was in an ideal location down a quiet lane but close to the beach and village amenities. The accommodation was fabulous and spacious. Very clean and had everything you could need. A welcome pack of milk etc would be handy for future guests is the only thing I would say was missing. Weather was good too !!

A wonderfully spacious two bedroom house, with enormous bedrooms. Very nicely kitted out with an abundance of chinaware etc.
Also a lovely sun trap courtyard garden and fully fenced for the dog. We had a lovely week.

We loved our week staying in Lagwn Glas.
It was much more spacious than we expected.
Tucked away off a private road. Entrance is narrow onto the private road then a right hand 90 degree turn into Lagwn Glas drive. Our 4x4 was ok but pickups and longer vehicles might have to do some slick manoevering. However being tucked away made it nice a quiet.
Well stocked kitchen cupboards with any crockery or utensils you might need.
Comfortable sofas for lounging around.
Master bed was soooo comfortable. As were the 3 single beds, reported by our children who loved their room.
The hallway is large with plenty of space for shoes and coats.
The local shop is a stones throw away which is very handy for essentials and snacks.
Beach is also not far away and we enjoyed our walks there.
Rhosneiger is a great place to stay.
We truly relaxed in this home. We are happy we have found it and are already planning our next trip.

Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy on our arrival.

Over last seven years we have stayed in various properties in the Rhosneigr area.
This review is our own personal opinion.

On the plus side, the property is quite large and roomy, and centrally located. It has all the facilities you could need, and the bed is really comfortable.
However......
The property is overlooked both front and back, to the extent that curtains/blinds needed to be closed both day and night. The bathroom window is not opaque and faces directly onto neighbours garden. The front windows (both upstairs and down) face directly into the owners garden/property.
We were also disappointed that there was no form of welcome pack (not even a pack of biscuits) but to be fair, there was no mention of one in the documentation. Most other properties we have stayed in have has one.
We did notice that there were several light bulbs blown, leading to a serious lack of light on the stairs at night. Reported to owner.
All that being said, we did enjoy our stay, helped by the glorious weather.

We had a wonderful week in Rhosneigar. The property was the best we have ever stayed in and have been coming to Anglesey for quite a few years. The house was excellent a lot bigger than the photos show. Very clean and comfortable and in a super location . Couldn't fault the house or the holiday. Wanted a few days in December but unfortunately the weekend we need is already booked!! Will definitely recommend it.

This house lived up to our expectations. It was really big and beautifully furnished. It’s also 5 mins walk from the beach and all the restaurants and shops in Rhosneigr. We had a problem with the double bed as the divan was broken when we arrived - the owner came straight round (as she lives next door) and ordered a new bed which arrived in 2 days. The new bed was extremely comfortable and a massive improvement. Anglesey holiday lettings were very helpful and professional too.
The only thing to mention is that Rhosneigr is next to the RAF jet training airport so planes start taking off from 8.30am in the week, they are quite noisy but you soon get used to it.
We had no complaints about the house and would definitely stay again when we come to Anglesey.

The house was absolutely lovely very comfortable and bright airy everything you need and plenty of it right in the village and short walk to main beach just perfect

We absolutely loved our stay here, the location is fantastic near the village but away from the main road. The garden area was lovely and short walk to the beach for dog walks. Very clean and no problems encountered.

We are definitely going back……

Myself and my family had a lovely relaxing time in this fabulous house - very clean throughout and much bigger than the pictures do it justice.

The outside garden area is a suntrap during the afternoon and it was nice to sit for a couple of hours having a drink taking in the sunshine whilst the children played.

Would highly recommend this property - it was spotless and had everything you would need.

The house was perfectly located just a short walk from the fabulous beach and the shops. Modern, clean and well equipped. We’ll definitely book again.

A beautiful holiday cottage in a lovely area!
The cottage is fabulous inside, very comfortable with everything you need, it is a "home from home",
We have stayed here several times, when you find the perfect cottage and location, you just have to go back!

Had a bit of trouble finding the house, because the name of the property had been changed. However, once we located the house we were impressed with the ground floor accommodation, the living and kitchen diner was very comfortable with plenty of space. Everything you could need was provided. Comfortable bedrooms, we were a party of 2 couples, so the layout of the second bedroom, which is obviously set up for a family group, with 3 single beds and a cot was a bit unusual, a zip and link bed and a single would be good, so that it could be used by several types of groups. Having said that the beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed the enclosed courtyard garden, which was great for Pepper the little dog who came on holiday with us. The location was fantastic, we all really enjoyed our break.

Lagwn Glas is tucked away off the main road down a driveway so is a lovely and peaceful location. Plenty of parking for two cars. The downstairs is spacious and bright with a handy downstairs shower room and separate utility room for sandy feet and clothes. The sliding doors into the enclosed court yard were lovely when the sun was shining and it was a great spot to read a book with a morning cuppa
Kitchen is well equipped and the large dining table was great for our daughter who loves to draw and paint so we could leave her supplies out whilst still using the table for meals. Bedrooms are extremely spacious and beds super comfy. A few minutes walk into the centre of town and the beach. The owner lives close by and sorted an issue that had been caused by a previous residents quickly and efficiently. Wished we had booked again for next year straight away as it’s now booked up. Would recommend

Lovely cottage with lots of space, modern open plan nicely furnished with quality appliances. Lovely bedrooms and ideal patio area.. ideal location for the high street and beach.
