Really enjoyed our stay in the Little Nest.It’s compact but was perfect
for our needs.Within walking distance of a couple of beautiful sandy bays
and coastal paths,and very handy for the pub downstairs which serves great
food.

Generally this was a great little apartment as described in a beautiful location. We stayed for 7 nights with our small dog. Admittedly, it was probably a bit too small for us all for a week, but we knew that before we booked and we went for the proximity to the beach. Rhoscolyn beach/bay is lovely and a short stroll away. We went for lovely walks directly from the apartment/pub. Very quiet area although we did experience noise and noisey guests during our stay, especially during busier times. We did let AHL know about a few issues during our stay: we had pre-ordered non-feathered bedding prior to our stay as my husband has an allergy, and were assured the bed would be made up with this, but upon arrival we found feathered bedding. Housekeeping came and sorted this straight away though, as we had to ring the out of hours number. The crockery and some glassware was dirty and we had to clean these before use; this was disappointing and could so easily have been avoided if checks were made. We also informed them that a patron had vomited outside the external door leading to the apartment. Of course out of their control, but still not nice to see on holiday! A compromise of being above a busy pub! As per the other reviews, the bathroom layout is tight around the toilet and sink area and I can see how there are regular issues with the seat! We were cautious when using it! Overall, a great location and a lovely big bedroom with a pub that has an amazing view and serves great food and drinks. We'd definitely visit the pub again but probably not the apartment for a long stay due to the reasons above.

Unfortunately, whilst a sign is provided advising patrons of the pub that it is a designated space for guests at The Little Nest, we cannot determine who will park there, I'm afraid. we agree, it is most unfortunate to have been greeted by an unwell patron from the pub, but again as you kindly recognise, we cannot control situations such as these, as unfortunately you have booked an apartment above a public house. Thank you once again for raising these issues with us, all feedback is gratefully received. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with an even better experience.

A very pleasant time was spent in The Little Nest allowing us to explore the beautiful coastline.

The Little Nest was perfectly positioned for us to explore the west coast of Anglesey.
It was very comfortable and compact but had everything we needed. Always lovely to have a large comfortable bed and facilities to make hot drinks and breakfast. We ate in the pub in the evenings and had lunch out. I tend not to cook whilst on holiday but liked not having to go down for breakfast at a set time.
The pub staff were all very helpful, pleasant and kind.
We had an issue with a cracked loo seat which we found on our arrival and the pub staff sorted it out with you and the new seat fitted next morning. No hassle. Do the cleaners not mention these sorts of issues with you?
I have read some online reviews and must admit we were not bothered by the hoover in the bedroom, the blind not fitting the window, the kitchen extractor fan and so on…….

We had a three night stay in The Little Nest recently and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The location was great for exploring coastal walks and the beautiful beaches in the area. The White Eagle was an added bonus, welcoming staff and very dog friendly. We liked it so much we’ve booked to go again next year

Flat was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen knives were v sharp which is a bug bear of mine in self catering accomodation so great to use knives that worked well.
However a variety of minor niggles, some of which could be easily remedied. A vacuum cleaner was left in the room. Unnecessary and an eyesore. The teapot was extremely dangerous and a potential scalding hazard . The base was unstable and it rocked back and forth on the worktop. Needs replacing. One of the mugs was cracked. Needs replacing . No washing up bowl provided - one could easily fit under the sink so needed to use too much hot water to wash up. Nowhere for washing up to drain. Toilet is positioned v close to sink unit so anyone over 5 foot tall needs to sit sidesaddle on the loo. Hence loo seat now loose and not positioned properly on loo. A small shelf above bathroom sink would be handy. Hot water system not always reliable. The wooden shutters in bedroom look lovely and work well but let in a lot of light . A roller blind in addition in summer months would reduce too early waking ! Also one window had a very thick, expensive looking and well made Roman blind but it was a foot too short for the window so also let in too much early morning light. There is no freezer compartment to the fridge so no ice for drinks or small amount of frozen food.

The pub was great and location smashing - we ate there both nights. Because of the above niggles I am sorry I could not recommend the accommodation to others, but would do so if the majority of the problems could be resolved

We have eaten a few times at The White Eagle when staying in Rhoscolyn as a family, so when looking for a short break, staying here seemed ideal as it was just the 2 of us and The Little Nest was available for 3 nights.

It’s basically a nice hotel room with a kitchen but it was fine for a couple.

Pros
- location - Rhoscolyn is our favourite part of Anglesey
- parking space right outside and free charging for an EV
- easy access using key box
- lovely decor, massive bed and big fluffy towels, very clean
- nice kitchen with fridge, kettle, toaster, teapot, cafetière and full oven
- good central heating
- smart tv in bedroom, we logged on to our Netflix, Prime and Disney+ (remember to log out before you leave)
- handy for the pub/restaurant downstairs (definitely book) ahead / friendly staff
- can order food from the pub, we had takeaway fish and chips in the beer garden
- a short walk to the lovely beach
- walks can be done from the doorstep
- good Wi-Fi

Need to knows / could be better
- no storage space in the kitchen, also no microwave or freezer part in the fridge
- steps- not a problem for us but steps up to the apartment and steps down into the kitchen part
- washing up stuff provided and 2 tea towels
- water was really hot from the sink taps but not overly hot in the shower, even on maximum
- part of the shower is at a fixed height so over 6ft people will struggle to fit
- there is a high small square table with 2 high stools in an alcove that can be pulled out into the small space outside the bedroom but not very comfortable to sit at. It’s fine for breakfast or a quick lunch but not for a full meal.
- 2 chairs in the bedroom but not together and no table. Have to sit on the bed to watch the tv

We really enjoyed our stay and would go back again. For longer stays you’d need to do eat out quite a bit or get a delivery mid stay as there’s not much room to keep supplies but having the kitchen is great. The apartment is just across from the big 4 bedroom apartment, The Nest, which looks lovely and we’re considering booking this for the family. Both apartments can be booked together for a party of 10 people.

The Little Nest is great for a weekend away, the bedroom was more spacious than expected & the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfasts & an evening meal ( be aware there is no microwave if you do use one)
Best of all just downstairs in The White Eagle there is great food & drink with lovely welcoming staff.

The Little Nest is an excellent little apartment for a short break. It’s in a great location and having the White Eagle on the doorstep is a huge plus. In fact I think the only possible improvement would be an extra chair in the bedroom as there isn’t a lounge area.
We’ve already recommended The Little Nest to several friends and would definitely consider staying there again.

Lovely stay super close to the idyllic Rhoscolyn beach and super handy for us who had a wedding in the Hotel downstairs. I raised a couple of points with the letting folks but only small things - no signage on anything for The Little Nest including parking, actual sign on the door and wifi - so a bit confusing. That coupled with a really rude member of staff at The White Eagle made for an interesting beginning to the stay. HOWEVER - the flat is lovely, very nice interior, super comfy, lovely bed etc. I think the price is a lot but I understand that this is a sought after location.

Spoilt by minor problems no toilet paper in the loo had to get some from the pub and toilet seat loose.
Comfort would be greatly improved by getting another chair in the room.

Clean , Comfortable and great location,
The little nest was lovely accommodation to stay in , a couple of points , bedroom blind too short so light let in in the morning .Also extractor fans from pub very noisy when left on over night

Positives : Really lovely little apartment for 2 people . Very comfy bed with good textiles.
In an ideal spot to walk down to the beach.
Food and service in the White Eagle excellent!

Negatives: We could only open one of the sash window as the others were stuck , ( A fan would have been handy )

The Toilet seat is a real problem and definitely needs replacing as others have already stated .

A fabulous place with everything thing you need for a short stay. The tea bags, milk and biscuits are a nice touch. The apartment is lovely, very clean and well decorated. The adjoining pub is great too.
The only slight niggle was the roller blind on the side window was broken meaning daylight flooded in from 05.00 hours.

Reported problem with loose toilet seat on day 1- not resolved by time we left. Ongoing problem with room's Wi-Fi signal. Gave up in the end, and used White Eagle Wi-Fi bar connection ( Unsecured) . If Wi-Fi hub is located the The Nest room, then the Little Nest needs a Wi-Fi signal booster . No microwave in kitchen? Kitchen sink area also needs a draining board. Emphasis appears to be on looks over practicality? Large showerhead over bath located close to end of shower swing door, so that shower water goes all over bathroom floor? Overall pleased with accommodation, but it needs a few 'tweaks'

A small but well equipped little apartment. The bedroom had a very comfortable bed and there was plenty of storage but a second chair would have been nice. Well equipped kitchen but needs a cupboard to store food in.A fridge with an ice box would have been handy.Needs a pair of scissors in the kitchen.
