A gorgeous getaway in Aberffraw! Three bedroom, pet-friendly apartment in the traditional stone complex of Llys Llewelyn just four miles from Rhosneigr.

We have stayed here before and love the location, the size of the unit and its layout. It is perfect for families and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cafe on Llys Llewelyn is an added bonus as the home made food is delicious. Aberffraw is wonderful, with beach & coastal path just steps away from the front door.
Unfortunately the unit smelled of dogs and there were dog hairs on all carpets. We had dog hair on our clothing from the soft furnishings and the head of the vacuum cleaners was thick with white dog hair. There is a charge of £35 for dogs and for this high fee we expect a thorough clean to have been carried out.
The response to our complaint, on our return,was that we should have requested the cleaners to return. However, check in time is already very late(5pm) and we did not want the cleaning team disturbing the short family time we had over the weekend.
The lack of customer care and attention to cleanliness means we will not choose Ty Cwyfan for future breaks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ty Cwyfan in Aberffraw, Anglesey. Our accommodation was wonderful and we especially liked that all three bedrooms were ensuite. We also liked the open plan living / kitchen/dining area. Everything was spotless. The enclosed patio was good for our 2 small dogs. Aberffraw is a lovely little village and Anglesey has some of the most wonderful beaches in Wales. Our dogs certainly enjoyed the sandy beaches. Will definitely be returning here...

5th.visit .Excellent as always.
If I had to be picky,perhaps a washing up bowl would be useful but otherwise the kitchen facilities are great.
Also the quality bed linen and towels are another plus point.

Lovely place really enjoyed our stay , The double bed needs a topper on as you could feel the springs through the mattress, also the frying pan is too large for the cooker rings but apart from that no other problems .

Great property. We stayed for 3 weeks whilst visiting family in the village. Very convenient location for us!
Unfortunately we had some issues with heating, the house was very cold, especially overnight, on windy days a breeze can be felt coming in through the windows, especially in bedrooms/bathrooms.
Apparently there is some underfloor heating. We were told user error when it came to the panel on the wall in the kitchen, yet the 2 maintenance people that came (they did come in a timely manner) gave us 2 different sets of instructions, both we tried yet neither worked.
We were given a couple of oil type radiator heaters to help with the situation but they couldn’t be left on due to safety issues with our toddlers being able to touch them etc and unfortunately we did all suffer from bad colds during our final week.

Overall it’s a lovely property but would be better suited to a stay during the summer months.

A spacious apartment, good sized rooms, en suite with every bedroom and everything you might need for your stay. Good location for Newborough and Rhosneigr. You can walk from the accommodation along the river to a big beach which was great.

The downside is that the village has very little in terms of amenities. The pub next door is closed. The cafe which is part of the complex had closed until the end of January. Will be different in season of course. There is also other accommodation above the twin rooms which isn't clear from the photos. A warning to dog owners that the little courtyard is not secure for larger/springy dogs, my spaniel leapt the wall.

Overall, nice accommodation which is well-located for the beach, Newborough and Rhosneigr. The Oyster Catcher restaurant is a 5 minute drive and serves delicious food.

We chose this accommodation as the reviews were good but it did not live upto them.
Beds really uncomfortable, now got a bad back.
Some areas dusty and cobwebs. Sofas stained and smelly, had to buy fabric freshener to use.
Paintwork in need of redoing in areas of every room.
Arrived on a hot day to find blinds had been left open and the sun streaming in, the room was boiling. No fan available.
Lovely area with beach and walks.
Could be a nice holiday home but has been neglected. Certainly not worth the money we paid

We love Aberffraw and stay as often as we can. Ty Cwyfan is a lovely place to stay. It is quiet and well equipped. We have stayed more than once. If you stay here I don’t think you will be disappointed. The beds need replacement as they are uncomfortable, but otherwise loved our stay.

Note: The local pub has closed down, which is very sad to see for the village. Hopefully it will be sold and be able to reopen.

Lovely property that is very well appointed. Although you have a drive to shops etc its not far, and is more than made up for by having the beach on your doorstep, some wonderful walks,.and a great breakfast cafe around the corner. Although we only had a short break we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

This is our second time at Ty Cwyfan and is in a beautiful location to explore the local area and easily accessible for the other delights that Anglesey has. The property is spacious and comfy for 6 people plus a bonus of each room being en suite. It is perfect to come back to after a day out or after completing many walks from the doorstep.

We love coming to Tŷ Cwyfan which is so well placed to get all over the island, and everything you need on hand.Well equipped too. Its our perfect getaway place! Only issue we had was with the heating but we have family that live in the village and they were able to borrow us some portable heaters.

Had a lovely relaxing weekend in this beautiful house and village. Welcoming pub and shop and really handy having the tea rooms/bar next door.

Icing on the cake would have been a dressing table for a lady. Something regularly absent from holiday lets but never the less important.

It’s our second holiday here. The location is great and the cottage is lovely. The cottage itself is well designed with 3 bathrooms and a large communal living area. We stay with the wider family. The walk to the river and sea is short and easy. The combination of the river and beaches on both sides is perfect. It’s a great base to stay without needing to drive anywhere.

Great accommodation, spacious and well equipped, en-suite to all 3 bedrooms was fantastic. Friendly Local pub within walking distance and excellent tea room next door which also does a great breakfast.
Beautiful beach walks on your doorstep and highly recommend a visit to the hidden garden.
Disappointed that majority of nearby facilities close on a Monday and Tuesday, hopefully this will change during peak season.

Our second visit to this property and as before it was a wonderful time.
The property is excellent and very close to the estuary and beach/sandunes, perfect for walks/dog walking.
The information pack is detailed and was needed to find an emergency vet, unfortunately, but the information was at our fingertips.
The strong winds caused problems with the gate, which once reported was fixed promptly.

We recently stayed here with family celebrating a 70th birthday. The holiday home was great , 3 bedroom each with shower/bathroom. Plenty of space and things to do. Kitchen well equipped. We had a lovely stay, and would love to visit again in the summer so we can take advantage of the outside seating area and local walks to the beach. We also visited the local pub ,The Crown food; was gorgeous and highly recommended.

We've booked with Anglesey Holidays for a few years now (5% discount for returning customers) and wouldnt stay anywhere else.
Love the complex of Llewelyn, have also stayed in one of the cottages.
They have tea rooms on site but closed Mon and Tues at the moment as is the pub.
The village of Aberffraw is small, one pub, one shop - what else would you need, easy to travel around Anglesey from here as the roads are quiet.
The estuary leads to a gorgeous beach with lots of walks for everyone although there is access to other beaches depends on walking abilities.

Although this was not my first time in Aberffraw it was my first time visiting this property and using Anglesey holiday lettings. I am delighted to say I have booked to return again in October and have recommended similar accommodation using Anglesey holiday lettings for a family member to be on holiday at the same time as us.
I cannot fault the high standard of decor, fixtures and fittings. I think in the kitchen you had everything you would normally have in your own house.
Beds were comfortable and we had lovely crisp white bedding and adequate towels for our stay there
The cleanliness on arrival was spotless and I thank the friendly cleaning staff for this (we met them on the day of our departure).
Electrical items were PAT tested for safety, I did mean to double check but I think the hoover may have been out of date in 2018 for this, but it still worked and we had no issues with it or any other electrical item in the house, I'm not sure if the sensor outside light worked or not as we never approached the property in darkness

We had a brilliant holiday here. The cottage was beautiful. It was spotlessly clean. The design was perfect. A bathroom attached to each bedroom made it very comfortable for the whole family. The lounge/ kitchen area had everything that we needed. A perfect spot to holiday too. I’d thoroughly recommend it.

A well equipped cottage with excellent use of space which made the accommodation appear larger. . The provision of three bathrooms was a real bonus.

Third time we have stayed in this little area of properties but the first time in this larger one. So much space and nice to have a bathroom for each bedroom. Everything you could need and lots of it. Everything is very clean and having the outside area is a bonus for storing body boards. We love this location and that the beach is always so quiet compared to other places. Great having the tea room next door as well. My only negative would be the bed 's are too soft and the pillows disintegrate under your head, so some slightly firmer options would be nice and we have found this in all 3 properties.
We will certainty be back though.

We are 2 old friends, living at opposite ends of Wales, who get together a few times a year for a catch up and to sew.
Ty Cwyfan met all of our needs for a week long holiday with my dog. There was plenty of room for us and the comforts of home.

Aberffraw is a wonderful little village in easy distance of all of Anglesey. We didn't venture out sightseeing much as that wasn't the purpose of our holiday but we did go to see the church in the sea, a bit of a walk from the village.

The weather was better than had been predicted, although after a dog walk in 63km/h winds my legs felt like jelly! I managed on the whole to avoid the rain :)
It is a perfect area for dog walkers, we never walked the exact same route twice and my dog loved running on the sandy estuary and beach.

For those with dogs I would recommend The Sea Shanty in Treaddur Bay, who welcome dogs and also the cafe at Llys Llewellyn likewise. Both had wonderful food and were very welcoming.

My friend also took the bull by the horns and decided to have her very long cut down to short bob in the onsite hairdressers and is delighted with the result. omething she never seems to find time to do at home.

We are certainly talking about returning again.

This apartment is perfect for parties that enjoy each other’s company but also enjoy privacy. Bedrooms are comfortable each with a shower and toilet. Whilst the living room has all amenities and the space needed for a large family. We have booked again as we enjoyed our stay immensely.
We do like Aberffraw and it’s wonderful beaches, walks. The Crown pub is a must to visit, great food and friendly as a pub should be.

From moment we arrived until we left we felt relaxed and enjoyed a wonderful week. It fitted all our needs and the dogs and although our second visit here was as much fun and enjoyable as the last.
If only we had been free to stay longer

We have stayed in these cottages for six or seven times and have found them to be the best cottages we have ever stayed in.
Modern, clean and stylish and the service is great.

We were two ladies with our dogs, having a short mini break, my third visit to this lovely site, beautiful decor, everything we needed, for a few days to unwind. Great location straight down and on to the beach, very friendly locals, already thinking about the next trip.

The property was outstanding; beautifully furnished and well equipped. Having three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, was a real luxury and gave everyone their own privacy. The location was perfect; lots of walks for the dogs, easy access to sand and sea, a very friendly pub serving excellent meals, a village shop and tea rooms. What more could you want? One suggestion if possible, would be an outdoor facility to hose sand and salt water from the dogs to minimise any mess inside the property.

VERY GOOD PLACE TO STAY,AND IDEAL LOCATION ON THE ISLAND. GREAT TO HAVE A GOOD PUB IN THE VILLAGE AND A LOCAL STORE .WE WERE A PARTY OF FOUR ADULTS , AND THE ONE COMMENT I DO MAKE IS THE LACK OF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE OVEN AND DISHWASHER THE CENTAL HEATING WHILST WARM IN THE MAIN PART OF THE APARTMENT DID NOT EXTEND TOO WELL INTO THE MAIN BEDROOM AND THE BATHROOM . WE HAD FAIRLY GOOD TEMPERATURES BEING EARLY SEPTEMBER SO THIS WAS NOT REALLY A PROBLEM FOR US

We had a very pleasant stay at Ty Cwyfan.
We struck lucky with the weather and it was my daughters graduation from Bangor uni. It couldn't fail to be a good week!
The property was more than adequate for our various needs once the members of the group had got used to the galley kitchen where there always seemed to be some one in the way!
The property is nicely furnished - I liked the colour palette - the only criticism being the rather garish table cloth which due to its colour scheme, it was difficult to determine what were crumbs and what was a jelly bean.
Several of the party have been to Aberffraw in the past so we were familiar with the area but the info book provided was a useful.



A perfect cottage to relax and wind down in. A quiet location with our own privacy area. Perfect!

The property was spacious and comfortable. We were 3 long term friends and we had a room each and a bathroom each which was a luxury. The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortably furnished and decorated in muted colours which was so relaxing. We used the outer courtyard area a great deal as we were blessed with perfect weather for our whole week there. The bedrooms had plenty of storage space making them feel like “ home from home”!
The Rhosneigr letting team were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The maintenance young man was so prompt to deal with only the one or two minor problems we had and so helpful and cheerful.
We were given some useful hints on the area and travel tips if we had used local transport, from one of the Team who visited on our first day there.
This is definitely a property We would love to visit again, sooner rather than later! Thank you very much. Diolch!

Great place to stay for a week.
Local shop, local pub with good food and service (shame about one of the customers £50.20 ).
The accommodation is on the ground floor and has an enclosed courtyard which is ideal for dogs.
Lee ,the maintenance man, was very helpful and attended to a minor problem.

Our second stay at this delightful apartment and not disappointed
Everything you need in the kitchen, gorgeous comfy beds and fluffy white bath sheets
A short stroll to the estuary / beach and lots of walks around the area
A post office / convenience store in the village best to do any shopping in Langefni about 15 mins by car
The Crown pub serves delicious meals but you do need to book

Another great stay in Aberffraw. Everything spot on, beds so comfortable with lovely bedding and towels. So well equipped too. Normally we take so much ‘stuff’ with us in case they are not provided but not necessary. Quiet location with lovely walks from the door. Thank you once again for another memorable holiday - already planning our next break with you this year.

Could not have wished for better and our Christmas here thoroughly enjoyable. Close to great places and super walks. Then lovely to return to warm very comfortable and spacious place all cooking and utilitues. The digs enjoyed theur long runs and small garden permitted them out occasionally. Like brand new quality and so well redesigned. Thanks!

Well presented property, clean and comfortable, with everything to make our stay enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and efficient when we contacted them. The property is a short walk from the beach which was dog friendly during our October stay.
The property is ideally located to explore Anglesey and North Wales. We would return to this property again.

Stayed for a late summer break over the weekend. What a find. We have stayed in Anglesey many times over the years but this was excellent. Beautifully appointed accommodation with everything provided down to the finest detail.

For us, this was a hidden gem in Aberffraw.
Easy access both in/out, accessible to the main road and for walking, plenty private parking.
High quality accommodation, beautifully presented, very clean, complete with everything needed for a holiday.

Ty Cwyfan is spacious, clean and comfortable and very well equipped - a home from home!

Aberffraw is a quiet little village on an estuary with an amazing unspoilt and expansive, dog friendly, beach. It has a lovely little pub, also dog friendly, serving wholesome food and the people were really friendly.

The locality, close to Rhosneigr, South Stack and Newborough Forest is great for walking and watching wildlife.

A great place to unwind and relax for a few days.

The 3 bed apartment was spotless & had everything our family of 2 adults & 4 children needed. Great location near fabulous beaches & short drive to some great family days out. From booking to arrival we were dealt with professionally & in a friendly way. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. We all loved Ty Cwfan.
