The lodge was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for a couple of days break. Although the location was very central it felt quite secluded. Bedrooms were small with comfortable beds although double room was awkward to manoeuvre in the dark due to sloping roof supports.

Amazing 3 nights ! The perfect spot for a relaxing break. Our two dogs loved it . Kay is so friendly and helpful. The lornty Lodge was beautiful and loved the extra little things like the dog treats and ball! We will definitely be back. Short walk to centre but the lodges feel a million miles away. So peaceful.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Every detail has been thought of with the lodge and the attention to detail was superb. The location is just perfect. You can hear the river flowing behind the lodge and town is a 5 min walk away. The town has everything you need for a week away including supermarkets and pubs. The walk along the river is beautiful if you have a dog that likes to swim. The river is slow enough just up from the weir for dogs to happliy swim for hours. The lodge itself has everything you could ever need. Great parking and plenty of privacy should you need it. The owners are brillaint and show you around the lodge so everyone knows exactly where to find everything for the stay. If you're looking for either a base location to explore some stunning nearby locations or a getaway to hide from the world, this can be either. I've already told everyone that will listen how much I enjoyed my stay and would love to return in the near future. Well done and thank you

We have had 3 lodge breaks since December and this was our best. Clean, comfortable, cosy, well furnished with everything we needed in the kitchen. Being able to walk into town was a bonus.

This was our second time staying at the Ericht lodges and I cant recommend them enough. The lodges are spotless, comfortable and spacious. Very short walk into the town and the river walk is on your doorstep. We will absolutely be back!

It was definitely too short stay for us. It was cosy and warm place to stay. Sound of river behind a window make you feel relaxed when go sleep to wake you up in morning. Great location with access to local shops and pubs. Everything within walking distance. Friendly staff will make you feel like home. I will definitely see them again

It was a beautiful experience to travel to Scotland with a border collie puppy. We arrived in a cottage where everything had been thought of.... Washing-up liquid, hand soap, cleaning products, a sweet welcome package with coffee, tea and sweets.The beds were fine, made up with clean linens. We got along fine in this house, only 1 thing we would not have chosen.... Floor coverings. With a dog, this is not very convenient to keep clean.... But it does give it a good time.The owners of the cottages were close and approachable and that is always nice.

We had a lovely stay despite the torrential rain but you can’t help the Scottish weather. The lodge is cosy and comfortable and has all you need with a few treats for the adults and dog .
Lots of wildlife to watch from the balcony including red squirrels.
Walking distance to town where there’s lots of shops and cafes. Beautiful walks along Ericht. The owner Kay is friendly and helpful and on hand if you need anything . Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed here for the weekend. This was our second visit. Well equipped, nice sized lodge in great location well back from the road with river behind. Friendly hosts Kay and son Archie. Town centre only 5/10 minute walk has plenty nice cafes shops etc. There is a great nature walk along the side of river starting from town centre. We visited blair drummond safari park on the way up which was great and on the Sunday went to Active kids Adventure Park near Perth 25 min drive. It was brilliant for whole family lots to do only £20 for family of 3. Can easily spend few hours there. Overall another great family break sure we will be back.

We had a 3 night break in the October school holidays. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My girls loved watching the red squirrel eating nuts. There are lovely walks near by. We have just returned from our second stay in Kay’s Ericht lodge..so easy and peaceful with all the freedom to come and go. Dog loved it and had a new found youth. Shopping at Bruar, coffee at Uisle and a lovely meal at Meikleur arms and stunning walks and drives to Pitlochry…added to which we had glorious weather.. we don’t want too many to know about this little gem! Otherwise we might miss out..we need another excuse to return asap…!!

Just spent 5 nights at the Lornty chalet in Ericht Holiday Chalets in Blairgowrie. First time in this lodge which is in an excellent position just as you come down the drive to the chalets. As always you get emails with information for your entry time etc. This year there was also a really useful app to look through with current information on the chalets, surrounding areas of interest and even some reviews of local eateries and shops! I went myself this visit and had 5 comfortable nights and quiet days sitting with both balcony doors open while i watched the local wildlife visiting the perfectly placed feeding stations, I even had a daily visit from a red squirrel!
The chalets are roomy, spotlessly clean with comfortable seating and bedding. I like the simple ways Kay has enabled us to help the environment e.g.Separate bins, eco products supplied for cleaning, washing etc. Kay has also wisely kept some of the covid regulations that were in place previously, which certainly reassured me, post covid holidaying.In Lornty the 2 bedrooms have the peaceful sounds of the river Ericht soothing you to sleep. Sheer bliss.
Thoroughly recommend the chalets whither like me, for a relaxing break in this quiet, ( only 5 chalets, so no crowds) peaceful site or as a base for a family holiday or a walking break.Dogs are also allowed.

This is the second time I’ve taken my aunt up to stay here and we both love it. The lodges are in a perfect setting. We also take the dog and he loves all the surrounding walks. The owner is just lovely and is on hand always, if you need to speak to her.
But once your all settled, you will find you won’t need any assistance.
Can’t recommend this place enough.

We booked Lornty Lodge but before arriving Kay offered us Ericht Lodge which was wonderful. Kay is very welcoming and explained things to us on our arrival. Booked for Xmas eve for 3 nights, Kay was lovely, so friendly & welcoming on arrival. The lodge was cosy, clean and had everything we needed for the next few days. Was a lovely surprise to enter the lodge to see a Xmas tree and lovely little welcome box filled with treats for us and the dogs, such a nice tough. The bedrooms comfy. We had the lodge in the corner with grass all around which was ideal for the dogs. Central for exploring the area as well, you can walk into the town and also onto the Cateran trail which I did for some running :-) have booked for next year because we had such a lovely relaxing break

The location is great if you want to explore Perthshire, Fife, and Angus. The lodges are very comfortable with all you need to look after yourselves. Blairgowrie is a lovely town with a variety of places to eat. Kay is very helpful, when we booked she helped us by suggesting which lodge would be the easiest to access for our disabled daughter.

We had a lovely week staying here. Lodge was well equipped for our needs and provided a relaxing base as we explored the surrounding areas. It was quiet and I loved being surrounded by nature and the noises from the river. Shosp were very close by aswell. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend booking with them. Weve stayed here 4 times now it's a lovely quiet location right next to the river
There's loads of places to go from there like Pitlochry and on our last visit found a lovely walk called tentsmuir specially if you have a dog we walked up through the woods then back down the beach where we saw seals popping there heads up in the sea it is about a hours drive towards Dundee but lovely

The lodge ticked all the boxes and the owner was very welcoming and explained everything and that they were at hand if any problem. The bed was so comfortable we fell asleep soundly on the first night. It was so quiet that our dog when hearing an owl jumped up with a start. We found Tesco fairly nearby and plenty of local shops and to our surprise a café that welcomes dogs. Our Hamish enjoyed a treat of bacon and dog biscuits from the café owners while we had lovely bacon rolls, great coffee and cake. We did not plan to do much travelling but we did go to Forfar and were surprised to find another café that welcomes dogs. Overall we had a lovely time and we both agreed we felt that we had a stress free time and would like to visit again in the near future.

We have stayed several times at Ericht Lodges. Kay is very helpful and friendly. The location is quiet and peaceful but near to the many facilities, shops, restaurants etc in Blairgowrie, and there is plenty of interest to do in the area. We find the lodges pleasantly compact, warm and comfortable, and very good value for money.

A couple with two young children.

We know Perthshire well and were delighted with the position in Blairgowrie. We hired high chair and travel cot and were very pleased with the cleanliness of both (which we have had unpleasant experiences of in the past elsewhere).

The lodge had everything needed to self cater for a family and more. We were very comfortable there and will certainly return.

Great little lodge on a small and privately owned park of only 6, Plenty of space between them, and ample space to park up right next to your assigned lodge. While they have been well used and show a few signs of this, they are clean and looked after. The only point we could make against them was that the sofa and chairs were not very comfortable, but that does enragae you to get up to make a drink.

The river flows directly behind the cabbins, which is very restful. Direct access to great local walks without having to drive, and a fair selection of take-aways if you happen to have a dog with you and can;t find any suitable dog-friendly pubs or restaurants near by. Lots of other places to see within easy reach such as Scone Palace, Blair Castle or Glamis Castle - all of which allow dogs in the grounds.

I would go back which is alwasy a good sign.

Hi Thank you for your great review. Just a quick update on the dog friendly places to eat and drink. We now have 2 restaurants that allow dogs and 2 pubs. Some of the information is in our welcome folder however, we are going to put together a new dog friendly guide for this Summer. They are currently, Angus Hotel, Cargills, Cartwheel Inn and Ericht Ale house. Thank you also for the lovely cards that you left and it was very much appreciate that you left the lodge so clean and tidy. Hope to welcome you back again in the future.

Stayed at the Lornty Lodge for a week in August and had a lovely holiday. The lodge is modern and clean and is situated in a beautiful spot close to the river, yet is not in the middle of nowhere. The owners are lovely and on-hand for any queries or advice on routes to walk. The town is close and has a good selection of local shops. There are lots of walks to explore in the area although the weather wasn't great on our stay. Dundee is a 30 minute drive away and attractions such as the Science Museum and Camperdown Wildlife Park are great for families. Overall, the accomodation and location are second to none and we will definitely be back!

wonderful stay over in blairgowrie, i holiday in blairgowrie often but this was the 1st time staying in the ericht lodges, superb location right beside the river, very friendly lady welcomed us at reception lodge was nice and clean with everything you need plus more, bed mattress was very comfy, outside the lodge was beautiful with the fantastic sound of the river couldnt of asked for a better place to stay compared to the other places i have stayed and priced this place tops the lot that blairgowrie has.

The Chalet was situated in a very convenient area within easy walking distance for amenities. The gardens were lovely and although there were only 5 chalets each one was private and had all had a nice outlook. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. Also it was a very good central point to visit lots of interesting places, castles etc. and not too far from the sea.

Picked the Lornty Lodge at the Ericht Holiday Lodges as a late deal, We required a nice, quiet break away from things - we were not disappointed.
The location was superb, a lovely walk into Blairgowrie which has everything you require.
The lodge was very clean and well equipped with all you could need - even with a few added extras which was a nice touch.
The owners are very friendly and well informed regarding their park and the surrounding area.

We hired out 3 lodges for a weeks holiday with all the family. We were really really pleased we did! Fantastic area, wonderful walks each morning down by the River and really close to Blairgowrie to walk and get whatever was needed. The grounds of the lodges were great, safe for the kids to float around all of the lodges and with a small playground which was used extensively! The were also immaculately kept, really great for seeing the birds, sitting out and having a beer or having a BBQ.

Kay was really friendly and helpful, but also gave us space to enjoy our holiday with the knowledge she was always there if we needed anything. Truly great holiday, in a fantastic setting. We will certainly be back!

We stayed in the lodges as my husband was taking part in the etape Caledonia bike race. They are beautiful lodges set beside the river, within walking distance of Blaigowrie. Pitlochry is a short driving distance away. The lodges are fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
There are plenty choices for eating out, takeaway or the kitchen has everything you require if you wish to cook your own meal. The beds were comfortable and made up for your arrival.
Kay was very friendly and welcoming and we will be certainly be returning for another visit. My teenagers were delighted cause there was Internet access. ( that's all they require to make any stay more pleasant for us)

We stayed here for a weekend and it was very pleasant. Warm welcome by Kay, who gave us lots of information. Lovely cottage, clean, provided everything we needed, it is cosy and nicely decorated. Located in a calm parc with trees, yet almost in the centre of the town. Lots of little birds and even a squirrel came very close to visit the feeding table in front of our cottage! We had a wonderfull stay and i hope to come back for a longer period.

The log cabin was lovely. Had everything you need very clean. Good wifi signal and to good channels. Lovely walks and friendly owner. U can smell other people's dogs but can't expect anything else when u want to have dogs on holiday with you. I would defiantly go back. There's plenty of shops too and a big supermarket as well.

We loved our stay at Lornty Lodge we were made very welcome by Kay on arrival, she took us to the lodge and showed us around the lodge and showed us how things work. The lodge is in a tranquil position with plenty of birds to see on the bird stand and squirrels running around in the garden. The lodge is a great place to explore the area with Perth, Pitlockry and Dunkeld close by, we will be returning next year as there's so much to see.

Enjoyed our stay in Blairgowrie and explored so many places. The sofa and chairs could be a little more comfy as could the single beds. I do realise they are in constant use but even so, comfort must be high on the agenda for paying guests surely? On the whole a good week.

The Ericht Holiday lodge is an excellent experience for any couple or family. You will be guaranteed a warm welcome from Kay, Alan and family. They are well organised and run an outstanding family business. The Lodges are clean, warm and comfortable. They are located in the lovey town of Blairgowrie, you can hear the river, which runs through the town from your bedroom window.
The Ericht Holiday Lodges,the comfort, the location, the nearby towns and villages, the fresh Scottish air, help to make sure you will have a successful holiday and will want to return in the future.

We booked a weeks stay for 2 adults and 2 children as we had tickets for the Open at St Andrews, I was pleased they did Mon to Mon booking and even more pleased when we arrived and saw the Lodge and it surrounding's! We stayed in the Lornty Lodge last week.what an ideal location ,the lodge was set in beautiful surroundings near the Ericht river which you can actually hear.The accommodation was perfect for us , two bedrooms,1 double bedded room and a room with 2 singles.the bed was extremely comfortable.Good sized lounge with kitchen diner all open plan.patio doors leading onto a lovely balcony.all feels very cosy.We went on some very good walks close by and it is a short walk into Blairgowrie itself.Lots of great places to eat.
We will definitely stay again and have already booked for next year.

Lodge was well equipped, clean and comfortable. It is set in a lovely peaceful quiet location, but only a 5-10 min walk along the river to the centre of Blairgowrie. Kay was very welcoming and helpful and a fund of knowledge of places to eat and visit. We would be very happy to stay here again and to recommend to friends.

We stayed Mon-Fri in Feb, to ski at Glenshee. We received a warm welcome, Lodge was very warm and comfortable. Had all we needed, including wifi & sky. Electric & gas included in rental and property very clean upon arrival. Situation is ideal being a short walk to blaigowrie but in a woodland next to the river, which can be heard in the lodge...lovely. Dogs welcome & Basil gives it 5 stars too. Did a run from lodge through lovely woodland along river bank...would definatly recommend and hope to come back

The Lornty Lodge was warm, comfortable and quiet. Ideally placed just a short walk along the river to Blairgowrie town centre, and the playpark.
The lodge was clean, and well provided for - and I had a really good sleep on the first night - which is not normally the case when I stay in a new place (as it usually takes me a night to settle) - we liked the fact you could hear the river and the birds (in the morning) from our bedroom.
The owner, Kay, was welcoming and helpful - and we enjoyed the recommended Chinese takeaway, and the town's Bangladeshi restaurant - which did really good food, and had friendly service.
The lodge was ideally placed for a trip to Glenshee skiing - and I am sure we will be back.

We were warmly welcomed to Lornty lodge and shown all that we needed to know. The lodge was very clean and very well equiped with plenty of space. Having the river behind the lodge was lovely and provided walks along the Catteran trail. At the main house there were leaflets about the area and games we could use if we wanted to.
We would definitely return for future holidays and highly recommend.

The lodge is in a great location, a nice 1/2 mile walk along the river to the centre of town, close enough to leave the car but far enough to be peaceful and quite. The lodge is clean and the kitchen well enough stocked for self catering unlike some lodges I've stayed in in the past. The heating system is more than adequate, I had to switch the heating off the timer setting so as not to cook myself, the lodge holds the heat in surprisingly well. My only negative would be the general maintenance around the lodges, the tables and chairs on the decking could do with a good clean as could the children's play area and the benches around the lodges need replacing as they are old or have been poorly maintained.
All in all, it is a beautiful quiet escape and very good value and we were made to feel very welcome.

We had a great time in Lornty Lodge. The surroundings are beautiful with the sound of the river Ericht on the background. Kay is very friendly and helpfull to get you on your way. The lodge is comfortable and contains everything you need. Blairgowrie is a nice town with enough entertainment and restaurants. For golfers are some challeging courses in the neighbourhood.

Great central spot for golfing. Lodges are well equipped and are warm and comfortable. Furniture needs updating. Good drying area with shoe rack for boots etc. Need to take own towels which seems unnecessary but they provide many basics other self catering don't eg washing up liquid, foil, salt etc We also had free wifi which they are trialling. Very quiet andwithin five minutes walk from town.

This was my second stay at the lodges and was again very enjoyable. The location is lovely, quiet but close to the river Ericht and an excellent base for visiting Perthshire. The lodge was clean, comfortable and very homely. Our hosts Kay and her husband are very good hosts who are very attentive to your needs. We had a slight problem with our toilet which was attended to very promptly. Everything is provided, advice for local shops and for the local area if you are a walker for instance. I would recommend it to anyone and would love to visit in winter one day if I can so I can see both the lodges and surrounding area at that time of the year.

Stayed in lodge number one ( Lornty) for a week at the end of May. It was our 2nd visit , returning after such an enjoyable stay back in the Autumn of last year. The accommodation is just super. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Great value for money, a delightful woodland setting with the river Ericht babbling away in the background.
Blairgowrie is a fantastic place to stay, with some great places to eat after enjoying one of the many nearby walks. Bluebell Wood and Knockie Hill are two favourites. It's also a great place to use as a base for exploring this part of Perthshire. Scone Palace, Dunkeld and Pitlochry are all within an easy drive. The local wildlife is amazing too, Ospreys, Otters and Red Squirrels to name but a few.

We would definitely recommend Ericht Holiday Lodges, the owners are warm, friendly and really helpful. We look forward to our next visit very much.
