Anchor cottage is the perfect place for a small family to stay. It is so close to the beach and shops that we were able to regularly pop back to pick up/drop items or use the toilet. The kitchen has everything you might need for. Self-catering holiday and the fact that each bedroom has a toilet is really useful. The only downside to this property is its size. Although it has 3 decent sized bedrooms, the living room would be tight for more than 4 adults. The only other inconvenience is the lack of a hall or porch to put shoes and coats. This resulted in us all leaving our shoes and coats in the first bedroom which is fine as long as that person doesn’t mind!

As regular visitors to sheringham the location of this property didn’t disappoint…
The cottage is beautifully decorated and thought has been put into the style and presentation of the cottage especially the stunning kitchen. Furniture and appliances could do with replacing as are showing age especially the washing machine… a dryer would be a huge improvement..
Love the fact the cottage has a full freezer and fridge.. pack some mugs and glasses cottage supplies are limited possibly due to previous holiday makers breaking and not replacing..
Overall I’d give this property a strong 8/10
The stairs are steep and help to burn off the excessive holiday calories :)

Lovely 3 beds cottage situated just off the High Street tucked behind the shops.
Space for one car.
All 3 bedrooms have ensuite ... helpful hint ...if you stay in the twin ans double on the otherside of the entrance pop your luggage through the windows.
The stairs are pretty steep but lead you up to the kitchen living area. Fully fitted kitchen ... TV... the settees I would say need to be replaced soon as felt like springs gone. Dining table for 6 ...leads out to large decked area that has a gas bbq that unfortunately did not work.
Another set of steep stairs take you down to a large double bedroom and twin. Both ensuite.
Their is a washing machine in the twin room in a cupboard ... which we used to wash our beach wear/towels they came out wetter than went in ... definitely need a new one... pref with a dryer as no where to dry stuff especially when we had wet weather.
We had a great week ....the neighbours were a lovely couple too ... would definitely stay again ...

Loved the property and the sun trap on the balcony. Really handy for the beach and town. Loved the upside down aspect of the property and the en suite in every bedroom. Will definitely stay there again.

The pictures on the website looked great. The furniture was decent quality but the general maintenance was very poor as was the cleanliness. The twin bedroom shower smelt foul from stagnant water plus no cover on the drainage hole. The washing machine seal was mouldy and the powder drawer was grey and slimy. The cupboard was used as a dumping ground. In the kitchen area the bin lid was not fixed, a two minute job. In the main bedroom en suite a coloured ring from an electric toothbrush was laying in the corner from previous occupants. The carpets between hall and bedroom one were not fixed under the bar so presented a trip hazard. Simple maintenance would turn the property into a really nice one as it had some redeeming features such as the kitchen, outside area and parking and good wifi.
