Location, Location, Location! with unrivalled and uninterrupted sea views, Sea Edge is the perfect retreat for a couple looking for the ’wow factor’. The ever changing seascape is perfect for whiling the day away, whatever the time of year, with its upside down living and views of the sea from your bed too – this period, flint cottage is perfect for a romantic seaside break.

We stayed in Sea Edge for 7 nights, as we did last year. Oh my, the views! As the name of the cottage suggests, it is right on the seafront. The views, particularly from upstairs, are amazing. You can watch the sun set from the sofa. To lie in bed listening to the waves crashing is so relaxing. The cottage was spotlessly clean, with beautiful, bright decor. It was comfortable and warm. Sea Edge is really special, and we can't wait to return.

A really cosy upside down cottage right near the beach! Loved our stay-except for the weather-and the amazing location of Sea Edge! Definitely recommend.

Despite a wonderful holiday in Norfolk and the fabulous location and views from the property, we have to write this review. Cobwebs in the shower, a dirt smelly tea towel and oven gloves, dirt and dust on the shelf in the shower and on bedroom cabinets and the kitchen had clearly not been cleaned down (tiles, sink etc) before we arrived. Coffee spills on the floor too. There is a damp smell downstairs but as an old by the sea properly we expected a little must but with the lack of cleaning it made it ten times worse. This property clearly sells on its location and dire need for U.K. holidays - disappointing that because of this they fail to do the basic cleaning. We had an in depth email about how we should wash our hands and cushions had been removed for covid reasons … how about using dettol and actually cleaning inbetween guests. Such a shame!

This is our second visit to Sea Edge. The sea view never disappoints. It is just a calming place to stay. Location is top notch. Just hearing the waves from the sea even at night says it all.

Spent 3 lovely nights here. Location and views were perfect. However building work is being carried out behind the property, the scaffold spoilt part of the view. The shower was a bit hit and miss temperature wise.

Sea Edge is a beautiful small cottage which is nicely furnished and well equipped for short breaks. Although we sadly had inclement weather it was still wonderful to sit and take in the view, which you could never tire of. In fact this was the whole reason for booking this property for an October stay and it didn't let us down.

However, the lack of a hand basin with hot water in the shower room meant that we had to use the kitchen sink for shaving and all hand washing. We appreciate the logistics of fitting everything into the tight space of the shower room but felt that a basin could have been provided if it was adapted as a wet room. Nit-picking, it was a shame that the protection shield outside the balcony doors had become fogged between the two layers of safety glass as this somewhat marred the view.

Overall a beautiful property.

First visit to North Norfolk, and we couldn't pick a better spot. Located right on the promenade in Sherringham, with uninterrupted views of the sea. A very enjoyable stay.

Enjoyed a fantastic three night stay at Sea edge cottage, incredible views and a perfect location to explore the town. Cottage was well equipped, it’s compact but perfect as a base to explore north Norfolk. Could not fault it apart from a slight damp issue with the downstairs bathroom. Obviously given its location you have to make some allowances but it was difficult to remove the damp smell after a couple of showers. Small sink integrated in the Loo was also a little odd but space is at a premium. That all said we had such a great time that we have booked again!

Wonderful position for a holiday cottage overlooking the sea at every angle, you can’t beat the view. However be prepared, it’s not as comfortable as I’d have hoped. No proper sink in the bathrooms which made cleaning teeth, having a wash or a shave impossible (albeit the sink as part of the toilet systern is a neat idea, I think a proper sink would fit). One toilet barely flushed (which I did feedback on and has apparently now been fixed which is great) which led to a smell in the bathroom - when you’re in small property this affects the whole place. It’s also rather damp - can’t be helped due to proximity to sea potentially, but clothes got damp just sitting in the wardrobe. I’d recommend this property for a long weekend as the views are amazing but a week would be too much due to the impracticalities

We stayed here for 3 nights and although we paid a bit more than we wanted to, it was worth it. The house itself is 'upside down' which really works; you can open the patio doors upstairs to sit and view the sea and everything else that is going on along the seafront - an added bonus is that you can watch the sunrise and the sunset. Everything you need it close by; beach, shops, pubs, cafes etc. There isn't a parking space allocated but we found a space opposite the house on the roadside - so no parking fee. Don't know if we were just lucky. For location, this is one of the best properties I have stayed in and Sheringham is a lovely little seaside town.

Such a fantastic location with stunning sea views. Great base to venture out from or on a rainy day, stay indoors and watch the sea from the sofa
