This was such a beautiful home in a fantastic location. They have provided everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Definitely be returning for sure

We stayed at Strand Cottage for 2 weeks and had a very comfortable stay. The property is fully equipped and is spotlessly clean.
The only drawback was the fact that there is no off-road parking with the property so you have to find a space on the road outside and this was very often difficult, so unfortunately we will not be staying there again.

Stayed at Strand Cottage for a week in July. After arriving at 4pm, we unpacked and settled downstairs around an hour later. To our horror, we found that downstairs had not been cleaned. It became apparent that a dog had been in the cottage during the previous three weeks. There was dog hair everywhere! The carpets and rug were covered, and so were the sofas.
As we did not deem this to be an emergency, and also didn’t want to trouble the owner (the agent was closed by this time), we decided to run the vacuum cleaner round ourselves—we also didn’t want to have a cleaner come in and vacuum around us on the first evening of our stay. The vacuuming, though, took an amount of considerable time—we had to empty the vacuum cleaner three times!
Eventually, we entered the kitchen to make a drink. There, we discovered dirty glasses, crockery and cutlery. The kitchen tops and units were also dirty, and so were the microwave and toaster… the list goes on.

On the Monday morning we let Keys, the holiday agent, know of our findings. They advised that they would let the owner know and would get back to us. As a gesture of goodwill, £80 was refunded to us—evidently, that was what the cleaner was paid!
Correspondence continued, but after we’d returned home, the owner advised that no further refund would be given, apparently because we should have phoned the emergency number on the Saturday evening. I’d consider a burst water pipe an emergency, a broken boiler, perhaps, or loss of power to the property, but my personal interpretation of what constitutes an emergency was the reason the owner gave me for not offering any further refund!

It seems that the cleaner concerned has now been dismissed. Good luck to the new one, as some serious cleaning is required.

Extremely disappointed with the agent and owner. We most certainly won’t be using either again.

Lovely property, in a perfect location in Sheringham. The holiday home was very well equipped. We really did enjoy our holiday there.
The only issue was the cleanliness. It looked like the only thing that was cleaned and changed, was the bedding.
The kitchen was not clean, crumbs and dirt in the fridge. Kitchen utensils had dried food in them. Floor hadn’t been cleaned. Cupboard under the sink is full of lots of old products, dirt all over cupboard.
The bathroom was not clean, bath was dirty and floor has not been swept. Shower head was dirty.
Thick dust around skirting boards in main bedroom. Carpets throughout property looked like they had not been hoovered.
I cleaned the property when we arrived.
The garden is completely overgrown, and you have to walk through bushes to get into the back part of the garden.
Would be absolutely perfect if had a full clean through and decluttered from all old products etc.

My sister, myself and dog spent three weeks at this property.
We also spent three weeks here last year. We enjoyed the sunny garden. The property has everything you could need. The location is very near beach and all amenities.

This is a delightful cottage located on a quiet street and yet minutes from the sea, shops and restaurants. I didn't use my car all week as I walked, and used the coast hopper which is not far away. There were lots of interesting places to walk to as well as on the beach which my dog very much enjoyed.
Would be happy to book again

We had a lovely week in Strand Cottage which is in a great location. A short walk to sea front or shops or bus/train point. Ideal especially if you haven’t brought the car with you. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. The main bedroom is very spacious, the other bedroom is small for a double but cosy. It was nice to have a secluded garden patio area to enjoy al fresco meals. Would visit
Strand Cottage again.

The cottage was a lovely place to spend three weeks. The cottage had everything you could ever imagine. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and towels of good quality. We loved the suntrap, private garden where we had breakfast most morning. A very short walk takes you to the promenade and the high street where the shops and cafe are. The cottage abd the town are dog friendly which was a bonus to us. We would certainly like to return.

We really loved Strand Cottage, a really beautiful cottage, very clean, comfortable and very nicely furnished, it's a very pretty cotttage with a lovely secluded garden even though it's a terraced property, it's perfectly situated for the High Street and the beach and we found parking no problem, onstreet parking looks impossible but you can always find somewhere to park not too far away.
The only thing we would have liked, and it is a bit petty, but it would have been really handly to have had a spare front door key, we did separate at times from the other two in our group but we had to keep in contact for the others to be able to get back into the cottage if they needed to, there was a back door key but using that meant having to leave the back gate to the property unlocked while we were out and we weren't happy doing that. Do realise that providing two keys may mean a key gets lost etc so can understand why only one key was provided. Having said that we would love to stay in Strand Cottage again sometime, it's a perfect holiday retreat.

We loved our stay at Strand Cottage. The cottage is well equipped. The outside space is excellent.
The smaller bedroom is quite tight for two adults, however the living spaces are big enough for 4 adults.
We would love to visit again.

There were so many positives that it is far easier to list the negatives. Only two really and they were both very small suggestions, a bin in each bedroom and a pair of kitchen serving tongs. We thoroughly enjoyed the secluded patio and would hope to return soon. Thank you
