A beautifully presented, ground-floor property located just yards from the town centre, but in a very peaceful location, tucked away from the passing traffic. It is comfortably furnished and very well equipped offering the added benefit of sloped access, extra-wide doorways and no threshold step to the front door and the benefit of a wet room, this bungalow would suit those with walking difficulties and wheelchair users. Situated in a lane behind St Peter's Church, the seafront gardens, shops and railway are all within easy, level reach.

We love coming on Holiday to Sheringham and staying in The Old Bake House.

We, that’s my Husband and I have been coming up to Sheringham for quite a number of years.
We used to stay in B & B’s but then decided it would be better if we stayed in Holiday Let’s.
We tried a few properties which weren’t too bad. However ever since our First Holiday in The Old Bake House we have returned to the same property EVRY TIME we have been on Holiday in Sheringham.
It’s great for us, as it’s got everything that we want from a Holiday “Home”.
The owner is very nice and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
We are already looking forward to our next Holiday which is in a couple of weeks time.
I’m disabled and T.O.B.H. has had some work done to make the Bungalow Disabled Friendly. It even has a Wet Room, which is great as I cannot get in/out of a Bath.

1st impression great location looked nice but fridge was filthy we cleaned it. All glasses plates cutlery pans mugs ect filthy. Keys have photos if you want a look. Owner turned up and took most items away to clean on Thursday. All he could say was that he thought we were a family with a similar surname that vist regularly. To be honest I've stayed in cleaner youth hostels. Most disappointed. This is the first time in 15 years of going with Keys we've been let down. But what can you expect for £900.

A lovely, well equipped little cottage, situated close to the town centre near a church. A quiet location with very little through traffic although the church car park opposite can get quite busy.
The only negatives are minor ones:
1) Although the main parts of the cottage were kept very clean there were areas where cobwebs and dust were evident.
2) At times the wet-room style bathroom was a little too wet with water covering the whole bathroom when the shower was used until we unblocked the plug hole(without tools!)
3) The small courtyard was a trifle too small and was crowded with plants with little sun penetration. We did stay early May so the sun may well penetrate later in the year.

On quite a number of occasions we have had wonderful Holidays in The Old Bake House. (T.O.B.H) Although the name suggests that the accommodation is a House, it is in fact a 2 bedroom Bungalow.
The bathroom is actually a wetroom, which is great for me, as I’m disabled. I can’t get in or out of a Bath.
Although T.O.B.H is situated right in the centre of Sheringham, it is very a quiet location. But is near Shops, Restaurants and a short walk to the beach.
The Old Bake House, has everything that is needed for a Family/group of n four people. There is parking on site, which can accommodate 2 Small cars or there might be space for a Large + a smaller cars.
The owner is friendly and helpful, if we have any problems with anything in The O, B, H. he comes to do everything he can to correct / fix the issue.
There is an enclosed Courtyard, with table and chairs, which can either be accessed from the double bedroom or via the front door, and through the wrought iron gate. We have spent many hours relaxing in the sun with a glass of wine or Champagne.
We have spent many Holidays Aboard, which has guaranteed sunshine, all you can eat and drink. But now we prefer to have our Holidays in England , for a quieter way of life.
We are already looking forward to our next holiday at T.O.B.H. It’s become our home from home.

Great accommodation more or less in the middle of Sheringham. Very clean and comfortable with all the comforts of home. It’s a minutes walk into town and only a couple of minutes walk to the beach, it’s also great to have its own parking space. The only negative is that it really is only suitable to sleep 3 due to the arrangement of the fourth bed.

Another week spent in this very pleasant, well equipped property whish is centrally located and with the benefit of a dedicated parking area. Ideally suited for any one with mobility problems with the benefit of a wet room. We always use this property when visiting Sheringham due to its location and facilities. it is also close to several excellent eating establishments as well as the theatre which are all within walking distance.

We have just got back home from yet another wonderful holiday spent at The Old Bake House, in Sheringham, North Norfolk.
Because this is a Bungalow it is really suitable for anyone who is wheelchair bound.
It even has a wet room, so there’s no problem trying to get into a Shower Cubicle.
It has 2 bedrooms, one of these bedrooms has French Doors opening onto a lovely hard landscaped garden. We have spent quite a few occasions sitting outside in the Sunshine.
There’s also parking at the property too, which is really good.
We are already looking forward to our next holiday at The Old Bake House.

We have really been impressed with The Old Bake House (TOBH) ever since our first holiday staying there.
It’s got just about every thing that up to 4 people could possibly want/need for a great holiday in Sheringham.
We have never been disappointed about any aspect of our stay in TOBH.
It sleeps 4 people, and has a single bed, that converts into double bed in the smaller of the
two Bedrooms.
The patio which can be accessed either through the larger bedroom, or via the front door and opening the full height wrought iron gate. We’ve spent quite a few happy hours sitting outside in the patio soaking up the sunshine.

We have had plenty of wonderful holidays at the Bungalow known as The Old Bake House. (T.O.B.H)
It’s located within the centre of Sheringham down a “Lane” off of Church Street, and is situated behind the Church that is sited on the corner of The Boulevard and Church Street.
We are already very much looking forward to our next Holiday staying at T.O.B.H. in Sheringham. And plan to have many more holidays staying at T.O.B.H.

It was a shame the sofa was different to one on picture.i had a bad back .now worse...the shower ,fantastic..but same about the smell from washing machine problem we didnt know about..And the owner turned up ,unusual...the courtyard is ok but need full sun..needs moss treatment to..be careful kitchen floor has loose tiles..shame about the sofa .would stop me from returning...

A well kept and functional bungalow in the town with everything close and available. Well Done !
The sofa was unfortunately too big for my wife who, when she sat on it her feet didn't touch the floor.
That was the only fault and not the end of the world.
We found the bungalow clean, functional, and with everything that we needed.
A flat walk to the shops which helped us immensely. Location was 100% for us.

A return visit for us after a long time away from Norfolk.
We were so happy to be back as the Old Bakehouse house has such a welcoming and homely feel.
The place smelt so fresh and amazing!
We were pleased to see new sofas, which were super comfy and welcomed the easy to use WiFi.
The location is the star here, as it's so close to everything. Having a parking space too makes a difference as well as being accessible.
The bathroom is very nice to use, especially with the heated floor!
We will definitely be back!

We have just enjoyed another wonderful holiday in Sheringham, North Norfolk, staying at a great 2 Bedroom Bungalow.
The Old Bake House (TOBH) has just about everything that up to four guests would need to enjoy a lovely holiday.
TOBH has car parking for up to 1 x Big cars, or 2 smaller cars.
We stay in Sheringham in Norfolk, because it gives us the chance to see our Family, the younger members of our family enjoy playing outside, either in the enclosed courtyard, or we often go to the beach, which is a very short walk from TOBH, so that the children can enjoy making sandcastles or going for a paddle in the sea.
Sheringham has some extremely good Restaurants, we enjoy going for a meal in Marmalade’s Bistro. Which has wonderful food a fantastic chef with attentive waiters/waitresses. After our thoroughly enjoyable meal, it’s only a very short walk from Marmalade’s back to TOBH.
On some occasions if we don’t fancy going out for a meal, we cook a meal in TOBH, which has all that is needed to cook a meal for up to four people.
TOBH is suitable for disabled people, as there is a ramp at the front door, and another ramp, to the courtyard, from the French Doors which are located in the double bedroom, leading to the Enclosed Courtyard.

We are regular visitors to The Old Bake House. It’s a lovely 2 Bedroom Bungalow, one bedroom has a double bed, but the other bedroom is smaller but can sleep 2 people, because it has a single bed, with a slide-out single bed under the aforementioned single bed.
I am wheelchair disabled and this is the ideal accommodation for myself, and my husband.
There is a large wet room, with a grab handle. (There is a perching stool in one of the fitted wardrobes in the double bedroom)
It has a nice contained courtyard which has a table and chairs, this is a great place to sit outside, in the sunshine and enjoy the lovely clean air.
There is also parking at The Old Bake House, bungalow, which could take 2 small cars, or one bigger vehicle and a mini type vehicle.

We have stayed at the Old Bakehouse before, they have updated it and it is much lighter than previously.. The only thing I would change is for a higher arm chair. The property was very clean and the beds very comfortable.

We have stayed at The Bungalow that is known as The Old Bake House on a number of occasions, and have enjoyed ourselves on every occasion.
The Old Bake House has just about everything that is needed/required to enjoy a Holiday. It has parking right outside the front entrance to the Bungalow, and is just about perfect for disabled people. There is a double bedroom with French doors that open onto a small enclosed courtyard, which also is accessed via a full height roughy iron gate, this area was perfect for when our young nephews and nieces came visit us, as we knew that they could play there very safely.
The additional of the Countertop Freezer was a very pleasant surprise and pleased my husband as he really enjoys plenty of ice in his Scotch & Coke.
T.O.B.H. is located very close to Shops, Restaurants and Pubs, and isn’t too far from the Beach.
We are really looking forward to our next holiday at The Old Bake House.

The Old Bake House is in an ideal position being almost in the centre of town, it’s great to have its own private parking and is well presented. The shops are seconds away and you can be down on the beach within 10 minutes. The bungalow had good facilities and was very clean, tidy and welcoming. Even though it’s central it’s tucked away and quite. The property is ideal for anyone with mobility issues as it’s all flat, inside and out. We will return.

Nice property, however we felt the comfort was compromised by some items of furniture. The settee was in two sections which occasionally separated owing to poor connecting brackets. The dining chairs were extremely heavy and not particularly comfortable due to their design. We also feel that a small coffee table would be a great advantage in the lounge.
It is a shame that the aforementioned detracts from the exceptional property and its location.

Bathroom completely wet after showering which caused a serious safety hazard as floor was so slippery. The mop can't remove the amount of water standing, a floor squeegee would be better. Also the shower head needs replacing.

The bungalow is lovely, well situated and has good parking.
But, there are two improvements which if made would make it better.
There is no direct lighting above the dining table and this makes it very dark. More light in the lounge would make for easier reading.

The other critical item is the shower head in the otherwise lovely wet room. As the spray is very hard and very wide angled this causes the whole wet room to flood. It means mopping the floor every time after a shower for safety's sake. If the floor is not mopped people will slip and fall.

The cottage was lovely, warm & welcoming when we arrived in very cold weather.
It is situated in a quiet lane but within easy walking distance of shops & beach.
With it all being on one level I found it perfect, as I have limited mobility re stairs.
All in all it was perfect and we really enjoyed our time there.

This is our 2nd stay at The Old Bake House, and again we found it to be very clean and a wonderful bungalow, with parking for at least 1 car.
It courtyard, which is accessible from either the Double Bedroom, or via the wrought iron gate, which is located directly opposite the Front door.
This is definitely suitable for Disabled Holiday makers, especially as everything is on the ground floor. The Wet Room is very good and has underfloor heating which is lovely and also practical as it dries the floor quite quickly after the shower is used.
We, that’s Husband and myself, will look forward to many more holidays staying at The Old Bake House.

The Old Bake House provides ideal accommodation for a stay in Sheringham. Its location could not be better, combining the convenience of proximity to the main shops and the beach with a quiet position, tucked away from passing tourists and traffic. It also has a very handy parking spot, right by the front door and is a few minutes' walk from the station.

We were really impressed with the spotlessly clean interior, comfortable beds and living room and fully equipped kitchen. The towels and linen were of good quality and seemed very new.

One slight problem is the wet-room style bathroom; when anyone has taken a shower, the entire floor is left swimming in water, which takes quite a long time to dry out. Any subsequent visitors to the bathroom need to go in barefoot and take a towel! Some duckboards would easily resolve the issue!

Overall, a delightful spot for a classic English seaside holiday - thanks for making our British summer staycation a lovely one!

Both of us were impressed with the cottage inside and out.
Inside was very clean and tidy one of the best we have rented .
It is close to all shops and restaurants in Sheringham and only a short
walk to the railway station.
We would certainly recommend it to anyone and may well visit it again.

We had a loverly time, and could have stayed another week, it had plenty of room to move about in, the only thing we felt let it down was the size of the Television in such a large lounge area, for some reason that maybe caused in the settings , the people heads were cut off in close ups.

We had only recently noticed The Old Bake House in Sheringham, and realised that it had everything that we need for a Holiday in our favourite location in North Norfolk.
My Husband’s first concern was if there was any parking at The Old Bake House, he was extremely pleased that we were able to park, off road, and right outside the front door of The Old Bake House✔️. Plus as I am wheelchair disabled it was wonderful to see that it had very easy access into the Bungalow, with no steps or raised thresholds within the accommodation✔️.
There is everything that a small family or a couple would need at The Old Bake House including an enclosed courtyard with outside seating and table.
We have already booked The Old Bake House for holidays later on this year and into next year (2022).

We last stayed at the Old Bake House in 2014 and were delighted to see that the property has had a refurbishment. New King size and comfortable bed; new settee and arm chair in the sitting area was most welcome. The complete redecoration of the whole unit made it fresh and welcoming on our arrival. Definitely a more attractive place to stay for us than when last at the Old Bake House. We look forward to staying there again next spring. As an aside it was also great to find that the EE signal in Sheringham has been much improved since last year. G4 reception means one can communicate on line. Perhaps like many holiday places now the Old Bake House might eventually offer a wi-fi hub. We would commend the Old Bake House to any couple, particularly seniors like ourselves, to stay there if they want accommodation close to shop and but a short walk to the promenade.

Choose this holiday bungalow because of the ground floor accessibility and parking .Location is excellent close to beach and shops.
Clean and furnishings good quality.
Only one problem wet room floods the whole bathroom when using shower so have to wait to use other facilities

Very close to the shops and a short walk to the beach. The bungalow was advertised as accommodating 3 to 4, but we found 3 to be the comfortable limit. If the occasional bed under the single bed was pulled out, floor space in the second bedroom would be severely restricted. Seating at the table was a squeeze, even for 3. The plan in the brochure shown the dining table and chairs in a different location and the table is nowhere near to scale as it seems to be about 2 ft square! The wet room also contained the only WC and wash basin. Showering was difficult as there was no screen to prevent water splashing over the floor and running towards the WC ad door. Clearing away the water after showering was a lengthy process!
