Situated in a wonderful location in the popular seaside town of Sheringham, this detached bungalow is within walking distance of the Blue Flag, sandy beach and town. The Sidings rear garden backs onto the North Norfolk railway used by The Poppyline, providing the perfect spot to view the restored steam and diesel trains.

Our 3rd time at The Sidings and it still is the best accommodation and location for us - so much so that we have already booked for next Spring. After really very heavy winds the Freesat reception wasn’t very true but after reporting to Keyes a new replacement disc appeared very very quickly. So thank you to very caring owners.

Overall an average stay but we are sorry to say but some Attention to detail required for cleaning in certain areas ie shower cubicle this was an issue last year when we stayed and did bring this up with the owners, needs steam cleaning to get rid of scale with dirt attached, did not look pleasant, cooker hood, dusty able to write on this, kettle desperate for descaling or even renewing due to some rust.
Bedding/towels immaculate.
Maintenance - shower screen in main bathroom, rubber at the bottom covered in scale, takes 2 mins to renew,
Location good, garden great with trains passing by, beds comfortable.

This was our third trip to the Sidings and the accommodation never fails to impress. The welcome gifts for both humans and doggy visitors are most appreciated. Our friend was so impressed that she is going to recommend the bungalow to her daughters who both have dogs. Our hosts are obviously dog lovers who also enjoy providing an excellent property for humans too !

An excellent holiday home, well equipped, clean and comfortable, backing onto the stream railway line so you can sit on the patio in the sun and watch traims go by. A short walk to town and both heritage and national rail stations. Fuel station and convenience store a stones throw away.
A nice selection of welcome goodies for you and your dog. Loads of off road parking is a big advantage.

The Sidings is a lovely place to stay in Sherringham especially with parking and so close to the town. We have been twice and intend to go again later in the Autumn. Ideal setting backing onto the railway. The bungalow is clean comfortable and has everything you could need. Dee is lovely and very helpful.

We had a brilliant holiday at The Sidings. The bungalow was just what we needed, comfortable, location was excellent and everything required was there and catered for. We will definitely go again next year. Plus the trains passing by at the end of the garden is a bonus.

The location is perfect for walking into town or the nearby park .
The garden was very secure as Houdini
( Freddie dog ) didn’t find any means of escape .
Everything you could possibly need was provided and the bed linens and towels were excellent quality .
Enjoyed it so much we booked for next year !

A convenient position for the town and front. Clean, although we bought a dishwasher cleaner because it smelt. TV so out of date. Not enough cutlery and plates for six. Garden nice, not dog proof if you have a small dog. No instructions for the current central heating control unit. Showers good, storage ok. Kitchen extractor hood thick with grease. Overall, it was ok, but not for nearly £1k.

We had a lovely stay with friends. The bungalow gave us plenty of space, with good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, comfy lounge and a great kitchen diner space, which we spent most of our time in.
We loved sitting in the garden (even when it was cold) and watching the trains go by.
Only negative was the water pressure in the showers was not great and if someone ran a tap or flushed the toilet, the shower went cold.

We were blown away as soon as we stepped through the door. This bungalow has everything you could possibly want, it truly is like a “home from home”. Very comfortable furniture, beds etc (although the pillows are a bit hard). Great enclosed garden, so I knew our dog was safe from the trains that run at the bottom of the garden.

We have been to Sheringham on holiday many times, but this was our first stay at the Sidings. What a delight! We have all expressed a wish to return here. It was comfortable, well equipped for self catering, and we all became train spotters during the week with the novelty of having the trains literally at the end of the garden. We chose a bungalow as we were bringing a wheelchair this time, and it was very suitable for a chair and walker. The location is straightforward for accessing the town and the sea front, and once we’d worked out the dropped kerbs in town, we became quite expert, as this was our first go at wheelchair manoeuvring as well! We only really paid attention to the garage two doors down at the end of the week, but it has a very handy supermarket in there with all the things you run out of for convenience. The property is well maintained and comes with useful things like the trinket trays by the bed to drop rings and watches in overnight. Plenty of plates, mugs and cutlery too. All in all, we were very pleased with this accommodation and are looking to return soon.

Comfortable, clean well equipped accommodation. Close to the shops and beach. Garden backs onto the Poppy Line so for steam train enthusiasts a paradise watching the trains go by and the rolling stock moved.
