In a peaceful, once traditional fishing village, tucked away from the coast road yet within easy walking distance of shops, pubs, fish and chip shop and a lovely sandy beach - perfect for surfing or sunbathing! Walma has become a firm favourite with our holidaymakers over the years. A perfect retreat for family and friends.

This is a constructive review - not a moan! We have had a lovely stay at the house and have had a lovely holiday. Would we go back to walma? Absolutely!! If……..
- there were comfier chairs in the television room, the garden was a little more secure for the dog and maybe some instructions on how to use the hob (all the visual clues have been worm away from the hob itself. Whilst they are small things to fix, a safe pooch and a comfy bottom are quite important to us .

I took my mother to Norfolk as part of her 80th Birthday celebrations. Walma is a good sized, well laid out property, on a quiet private road in a beautiful part of Norfolk. The garden, although a little overgrown, is a sun-trap for much of the day. I chose this property because it has a downstairs bedroom and bathroom, and the stairs are a little steep.

Comfortable accommodation set on an extremely quiet private road with a good sized rear garden which has once been someones pride and joy although now a little overgrown.

A gentle 20 minute stroll into Cromer or you can walk into Sheringham in about 1 hour. There is a bus service at the end of the road which appeared quite regular although we didn't use it as we preferred to walk. East Runton has a small convenience store which sells newspapers etc and there is a pub and a take away fish shop.

we took our dog on walks to cromer and west runton

What a lovely cottage, ideally situated with a lovely warm atmosphere. The beds were comfy ,the kitchen was everything we needed Only a couple of things, the sofas are due an update and the television would be better in the lounge as only two small chairs in the snug. It would be difficult for six adults. However it didn't spoil our holiday and we loved sitting by the patio doors watching greenfinches, goldfinches ,blackbirds and a baby robin in the garden. East Runton itself has lovely walks on common land and has views from the cliffs towards Cromer. There is a handy shop and pub and chippy within a few minutes walk of Walma. The beach access is a bit steep but the beach is clean and great for a good walk or just to watch the fishing boats come in.

Lovely property in a quiet location, however the garden is very overgrown. The property could also do with better cleaning. The dust in areas was terrible and obviously been there some time and lots of cobwebs on the walls! Window sills outside were black and hadn’t been cleaned for some time! Beds were uncomfortable and the single beds squeaked terribly!
