This is a fantastic cottage in an idyllic setting and equipped with everything that you might need. Nick and James were very welcoming and extremely helpful with making accessible equipment available. We strongly recommend this cottage.
I booked Mill Race Cottage for a bit of peace & quiet for me and a spot of fishing for the hubby and it all lived up to our expectations. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Nick and James welcomed us and looked after our home comforts, ensuring the heating was on and we knew where to find extra blankets etc. Little touches like leaving tea, coffee, milk and cookies were much appreciated. They explained where the best place to fish was and the layout of the site. Strongly recommend you download the app for a guide to to the cottage. As soon as we enter the gates at Mendham mill and drive to the lodge we feel at home. The lodge is comfortable and welcoming with a large sitting room with sofas to relax on. The kitchen which looks onto the walled garden is very well equipped and the terrace outside is a lovely sun trap with a place to sit and have morning coffee. We love the under floor heating in the shower room and the very efficient shower. Lastly the mattress on the very large bed is so comfortable that it’s definitely the best!
