The Llanfendigaid Estate has six properties: The Main House Llanfendigaid (sleeps 18), Dove Cottage (sleeps 4), Stable Cottage (sleeps 4), The Cow Shed (sleeps 6), The Shepherd Hut (sleeps 2) and The Pod (sleeps 2). All share a newly refurbished 28' x 14' indoor heated pool. The Estate is located by the sea at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park. The Main House has a Grade II* listed building status given its historic importance.
This was my second time staying at the Pod and fourth staying on the estate. Every time I return I feel at home.
The weather was wonderful so I took every opportunity to watch the sunset with a fire overlooking the sea.
I spent my days walking and cycling. I went to Barmouth and cycled along the Mawddach trail. Had a wonderful lunch in the George III pub before cycling back.
I visited lots of places of Welsh history including the Mary Jones centre, Bala lake, Tryweryn and Beddgelert.

Dove cottage is the perfect size for a family of four. The location and facilities are beautiful offering an indoor swimming pool, coastal views and walks, rope swing and garden games.
The cottage facilities were good, nicely styled and the furniture was very comfortable. Toiletries, cleaning products, tea, coffee, oil and shortbread provided. The fresh flowers were a nice touch also. This place was great for several 1975 babies, our families and friends. Particularly worked well as we could book the main house (very comfortablebeds), then add the various other properties on the estate as the commitments were made. Kids loved the pool, adults climbing the mountain, local hikes etc. Having such a nearby (request stop!) train station worked perfectly too, for those who didn't want to drive all that way.
