The Llanfendigaid Estate has six properties: The Main House Llanfendigaid (sleeps 18), Dove Cottage (sleeps 4), Stable Cottage (sleeps 4), The Cow Shed (sleeps 6), The Shepherd Hut (sleeps 2) and The Pod (sleeps 2). All share a newly refurbished 28' x 14' indoor heated pool. The Estate is located by the sea at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park. The Main House has a Grade II* listed building status given its historic importance.
A very peaceful and scenic location. Often, the only sound was that of young spring lambs chasing after their mothers or the early evening feed trailer passing through.
The weather was exceptionally calm, sunny and warm. Having said that, the nights were clear and cold. However, that was never an issue in The Pod - it was always a cosy warm. The large, double opening front doors allowed plenty of ventilation when the afternoon sun shone directly into the building.

As a family of 4 with 1 dog we found the Cow Shed perfect for our Easter break. We were so lucky with the weather and had sunshine the entire time enabling us to relax in the gardens while the boys spent hours in the pool-such a bonus having this!
The house was stunning - beautiful interiors, comfy sofa, chairs and beds and plenty of space. Excellent having Netflix etc and the showers were great-powerful and always hot (a simple but huge thing when coming away) We loved watching the sheep and lambs playing right outside and the fire pit up the top overlooking the sea with the sun going down w...more
Had a lovely stay at The Llanfendigaid Estate in Wales, quaint cottage in a great location with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. It also has a great indoor heated swimming pool for a relaxing evening swim with a view.
The best beach is at Aberdovey with the most golden sands and dog friendly which Dows has restrictions during summer months.
Great locally produced food at the Coast Deli & Cafe at Aberdovey and also at their sister site Millie & Sid's in Tywyn. Dolgoch Falls are a must place to visit, there is a climb and quite rocky to reach the top of the ravine but wort...more
This was our 2nd visit to this beautiful house with so much character, history and charm. There were 9 adults and 7 kids celebrating my parents emerald wedding anniversary! The kids loved the pool (which has had a upgrade since we were last here) and we all loved eating big family meals around the impressive dining table, then playing games in the living room around a roaring log fire. The weather was against us being February but we still managed to explore the surrounding area and find the benches and fire pits on the hill overlooking the sea, pity we didn't get a clear night to see the star...more
