The Llanfendigaid Estate has six properties: The Main House Llanfendigaid (sleeps 18), Dove Cottage (sleeps 4), Stable Cottage (sleeps 4), The Cow Shed (sleeps 6), The Shepherd Hut (sleeps 2) and The Pod (sleeps 2). All share a newly refurbished 28' x 14' indoor heated pool. The Estate is located by the sea at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park. The Main House has a Grade II* listed building status given its historic importance.
I’ve stayed at the estate twice before but this was my first time staying in the Pod. It was wonderful! The weather was sunny but crisp, the perfect weather for walking. I walked the coastal path, visited Llanberis, Dinorwic Quarry, Corris and Beddgelert. After a lot of steps the Pod was cosy and warm for my return. I spent the evenings reading and relaxing in the comfort of the cabin. Being able to switch off from the fast pace of life and sit looking at the stars and the planets in the evening was something I’ll remember. Thank you for another wonderful stay, I’ll definitely be back for my 4...more
The pictures don’t do this barn conversion justice, so much bigger and more luxurious than we thought. Acres of space for 5 people and a golden retriever. All the appliances including a bean to cup coffee machine (!) . Everything spotless including the lovely warm pool, perfect for star gazing. Great location for exploring the Snowdonia coast and close enough to Tywyn for the fish and chips to still be warm when you get home. Don’t often return to places as we like exploring new locations, but would happily return.
Pleasant cottage, stunning scenery. Beautiful beaches locally. Is quite remote we visited end March and a lot of local attractions not yet open. A few basic items missing from kitchen (tin opener). Indoor pool fabulous addition. Unfortunately renovation works taking place in cottage next door Mon-Fri of our stay which we were not made aware of and although builders pleasant and tried to keep noise to a minimum I do feel we should of been made aware prior to our visit
What a perfect place to relax and unwind. Cottage was super comfortable and facilities were exactly as described catering for our fur babies and offering fabulous walks with fantastic sea views. The heated pool was an added bonus, clean and well kept. Can’t wait to go back!
This was our 2nd visit to this beautiful house with so much character, history and charm. There were 9 adults and 7 kids celebrating my parents emerald wedding anniversary! The kids loved the pool (which has had a upgrade since we were last here) and we all loved eating big family meals around the impressive dining table, then playing games in the living room around a roaring log fire. The weather was against us being February but we still managed to explore the surrounding area and find the benches and fire pits on the hill overlooking the sea, pity we didn't get a clear night to see the star...more
