The weather may have been against us, but the warm welcome from Lydia and the town made up for it. The lodges are immaculately kept, the grounds beautiful to have a wander round and it's only a short walk in to town. We chose the week of our visit to coincide with the towns gala week and it was so lovely to see the community come together to share their traditions and fun with all. We enjoy staying here, it is quiet and in lovely grounds, we would definitely use again and we have.
We had a most enjoyable week staying at Lodge 1, very dog friendly. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. A walk of 15/20 minutes down to the variety of shops in Moffat. Taxi is only £5 if weather turns or if your shopping becomes too heavy to carry! Would recommend these lovely Lodges all day long, you won't be disappointed. Come and relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings.
