Our winter stay at Elizabeth Castle was fantastic! Having the entire castle to ourselves made the experience unforgettable. We loved exploring the private beach, bunkers and taking long walks across the grounds while the children played on the grass. It was incredibly peaceful and the apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Chris, caretaker, was exceptionally kind and attentive. When we ran out of milk, he offered us some without hesitation and he even gave us a lift back to the shore during windy, rainy weather because he knew the children would struggle. We felt very welcome. The museum staff were exceptionally friendly. We can imagine that there are people who find clucking hens and crowing roosters a nuisance. But we really enjoyed the flock of hens and the roosters.
Our own 'castle' for 2 nights was just absolutely perfect. Every second just felt magical, the most special setting and everything you need to make it feel like home. We were so lucky with the weather, but would have been happy to cope with the log burner had that not been the case! Would absolutely love to stay again. Mosey down to the Driftwood cafe for an immaculate breakfast or lunch, head back for a chill on the balcony chairs and hunt endlessly (and aimlessly) for dolphins - bliss. Only note to fellow visitors; keep the gate and beach door locked when you're inside. We had 8 differe...more
This is a unique historical property with modern comforts, a private garden, and stunning views. Pet friendly, perfect for relaxing, and a well-located base to explore all that jersey has to offer. Excellent customer service and good value for money. Highly recommend for those looking to stay somewhere memorable.
We stay in Kempt tower once a year and love it everytime. The beds are comfortable, lots of towels provided. Always warm even without putting the fire on. The only negative is the couch, if 12 people stay than about 4-5 will need to sit on dining room table chairs and not comfy chairs, the couch only seats about 5/6 and there is one other chair.
We loved our staycation here. The cottage is so cute and comfy. Several great place to eat nearby- The Good Egg, The Wave and Roseville bistro. Corner shop a few minutes walk away. Might be handy to have a pint of milk provided so you can have a cuppa on arrival. Would recommend
The best part of the fort is the views to either side of both bays. I would recommend it as a very good place to stay.
We decided to have a staycation this Easter due to 2 of our children doing exams and picked the radio tower for the sunsets and unusual accommodation. We weren’t disappointed and had a fantastic family break, beautiful weather and sunsets and some lovely cliff walks. The accommodation provided everything we needed for a long weekend and was extremely comfortable. We would highly recommend it to visitors and locals alike!
We were very happy with our week-long stay in January despite the bad weather! The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need for a very pleasant stay. Located in a charming agricultural museum, we were surrounded by rabbits, hens, and roosters, which made for a very bucolic experience. It was very well heated, and we didn't suffer from the cold at all, despite the wetess. One small thing, however: we arrived in heavy rain at night (6 pm) with no lighting in the parking lot or on the street. Luckily, we were able to call the assistance service, and a very kind woman came to guide...more
Another great stay at La Rocco tower. We were lucky with the weather. Sunset views from the top of the tower were stunning and clear skies for start gazing in the evening. Seeing quite a few shooting stars. Kayaking there and back was kept interesting with a little swell and a few waves on the beach. A top mini adventure.
My family - daughter, son-in-law and 9 year old grandson - came over from the U.K. to celebrate my 80th birthday. We hadn’t told them where we would be staying for the weekend and they were so excited when we arrived at the Barge. The weather wasn’t wonderful but we still all enjoyed our stay and found everything perfect. Very cosy and warm and plenty room for the five of us. There was everything we could have needed for our stay. A wonderful time was had by all. Maybe a new dustpan and brush could be invested in!!
We were very fortunate to have blue skies for our one night stay to the tower. Our guide Peter was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. There is nothing to fault about a stay Seymour. Being in nature and enjoying great company.
We got a last minute deal for two nights. It’s not for everyone, but if you prefer incredible Panoramic views over comfort then this place will capture your heart. We are fairly seasoned campers, so we enjoyed the off the grid vibe. The sunrise from the balcony whilst having your morning coffee and a glistening sunset BBQ at night were what made this place special. What it lacks in facilities and comfort it makes up for in location and price.
Basic accommodation but good fun. Beautiful sunsets and lovely beaches around the Tower. Lovely walks. Enjoyed our stay.
