Myself, my husband, our 7 year old son and my mum stayed on Elizabeth Castle in September. It was the most fabulous experience. The first night due to the winds we had to be back by 3pm and the Castle was closed from then to the public, we had the whole place to ourselves. The next day we got to explore the beach off the Sully Port. The accomodation was beautiful and very comfortable. All the staff working at the Castle were amazing. Nigel was on hand if we needed anything and he was fantastic. My son was spun out by the tides and we loved watching the water come up and surround the Castle...more
The Cider Barn itself was comfy, clean and fresh. I did however feel a bit nervy staying there because the history included on the wall in the living area (of the pope hanging) and the rocking chair in the corner - this freaked me out. My own opinion of course as others may not feel like this. I feel it was over priced and with no welcome pack whatsoever, not even a bottle of water. There was only tea and coffee but no milk available. I was a bit disappointed in that. The surroundings are lovely and on a nice Spring/ Summer day it would be very enjoyable outside seeing the chickens and w...more
We enjoyed our stayca enormously. Surprisingly fabulous weather too. Please make the emergency lights dimmer, they are far too bright. Tap water has a funny taste from the bore hole, I think. We were bringing in tap water from home. Thank you for a great mini-break.
Archirondel Tower is a fab getaway location. The conversion has been carried out to a high standard and we would not hesitate in returning although as Jersey Heritage offer other properties the temptation is to try one of the others next time.
We had an amazing few nights staying here. The property is very well equipped and very comfortable beds, which we were not expecting! Such a lovely place to stay, amazing views and great to be away from everything. Will defend stay again
Escape to the security and comfort of an ancient fort whilst surrounded by the beauty of the Jersey north coast seascape! My family of older children walked the cliff paths with the dog, swam, cooked together, watched sunrises, played games, read, did artwork, explored, connected, all from a warm, quiet and cosy heritage building.
A superb venue for a getaway adventure. The scenery was phenomenal. The guide was helpful and informative and a comfort to have around. We had a ball and would thoroughly recommend. Minor items are the kitchen facilities are adequate but could benefit from an upgrade, as could the bedside lights, some of which were not working.
Beautiful historic cottage with everything you need for up to four people to have a great weekend or longer stay. As a couple we could have just moved in and stayed! The cottage is furnished comfortably and cosily with everything provided for four. The kitchen has excellent cooking facilities, the bed was good quality and the shower room bang up to date with a rainfall shower - there is no bath in case you were wondering. There is a sofa bed in the main living/dining/kitchen area which we did not try out but looked fine and there were duvet and pillows in the bedroom closet. Other faciliti...more
We booked the site for our staff get together and had an enjoyable evening. A very special place, with a view of the sea and the sun going down. Everything was well prepared and the fire worked well to keep us all warm!
Had a great time. Everything was well placed and comfortable. A very unique experience all round. Would happily recommend to others.
Fantastic 24 hours at Rocco! Peter, the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and really looked after us. Marina was super helpful when we were booking. Views from the top of the tower are amazing and the boys loved the whole experience. Good fishing too!
Our second stay here and as before it was fantastic. The apartment is really clean and modern. Great comms and friendly staff
Really relaxing, great for a short stay on island away from everything . Even in the winter months the views are stunning .
I hired for my weekend of leaving dos and what a perfect location for it. The facilities themselves are basic and Heritage warn you of this. Just an added warning that you also share with some local wildlife! Food hygiene is a must - make sure you have boxes you can seal items like bread in. I was blown away by the surprise room in the tower. Perfect for when it gets a bit chilly or wet outside. In all, I'm leaving with the best memories from a perfect weekend stay at Lewis' Tower.
