Our second visit and already looking to book the next! The rooms have a wonderful mix of calm and simplicity and yet are also luxurious in their feel. Very tasteful and conducive to the retreat feel. The kitchen and multipurpose room are very light and airy and worked well for us.
Wow, this place is beyond amazing. Such a privilege to have the entire castle grounds to ourselves after the tourists leave around 5ish. Coffee on the breakwater in the morning was also very special.
We were a party of five persons and spent a week in Hamptonne. We liked the quiet place, the animals and the surrounding very much. We were there without a car and reached all places by bus. The people were very friendly and we can absolutely recommend the appartment.
We stayed at the Archirondel Tower for 5 days. It was sweltering outside, but inside it was pleasant. The tower has been renovated exceptionally well, with great attention to detail and aesthetics. None of the floors feel musty or damp – the ventilation and heating are superbly designed – the underfloor heating is particularly worth mentioning! The kitchen is well equipped; the bathroom with shower is small, but everything is in tip-top condition; the bed is comfortable and the Wi-Fi works well; the TV and DVD player all worked perfectly. In the summer heat, the bay is perfect for a swim an...more
The most enjoyable short stay we have experienced for many years. It was just the loveliest place, walks on the beach, restaurant not far away, accommodation really clean, utilities and bathroom perfect. Would highly recommend for a small group. We will most definitely be back!
This is our third stay at Fort Leicester, and every time we say we should stay longer next time. The privacy, tranquility and stunning views are second to none. Simply fantastic!
A well-appointed, perfectly-located, pet-friendly, charming little cottage that was a wonderful place to call home for our honeymoon in Jersey. We managed to choose the hottest month of the year for our stay and luckily for us the cottage is one of those perfect old buildings that has such thick walls it stayed cool enough for our dog during the day, and for us during the night. If you're staying in the winter instead, don't worry! The living room has a beautiful log burner which was fully stocked with everything you need (of course we did not go near it while we were there!) The location r...more
My wife, daughter and I have just returned from a week in Jersey, staying at one of Jersey Heritage's beautiful self-catering apartments, located within Hamptonne Country Life Museum, however our hearts are still very much there. We saw a lot of Jersey over the last seven days, and - quite simply - we could not have picked a more perfect place to stay. Even before we arrived, the friendliness of the Jersey Heritage team set high expectations, and the Stable Apartment at Hamptonne did not disappoint. Perfect for my wife, daughter and I, the apartment was everything you would expect from a mo...more
What a wonderful property to relax and unwind. With sunning views of Bonne Nuit and Giffard's Bay. Nearby cliff paths to explore. Stunning Sunrises and Sunsets!
Although our stay was just for one night I would highly recommend to friends. Could have spent a few more nights but one is good. Location makes it with those spectacular view and tower has been adapted to a high standard. We all have to manage the temperature be too hot or too cold but air cooling devices were appreciated.Very relaxing.
Staying during a heatwave could have been difficult, but with a good breeze, some shade, outside and in, and cool seas, it proved wonderful. Peaceful times watching the ever changing seascape, and beautiful eves sitting outside. Another umbrella, an indoor fan, ( a barbecue ? tho not sure re health and safety) would be a recommendation. Big thanks to all the team.
Another great stay at La Rocco tower. We were lucky with the weather. Sunset views from the top of the tower were stunning and clear skies for start gazing in the evening. Seeing quite a few shooting stars. Kayaking there and back was kept interesting with a little swell and a few waves on the beach. A top mini adventure.
We had a wonderful 24 hours stay at Seymour Tower. It was good to be able to finally visit and stay overnight at this uniquely historic building off the south-east corner of Jersey. We were lucky to have Eva as our guide - she was great company and ensured we were safe, whilst we explored the areas around the tower at low-tide and guided us across the rocks and sand dunes to and from the tower. Whilst the facilities are somwehat basic, for a 24 hour stay they were more than adequate and we enjoyed the whole experience enormously. Highly recommended to both visitors and locals alike.
Wonderful views, fabulous location and an opportunity to be in nature with friends and family. Improvements on path to access Fort are needed when it leaves the main coastal footpath, ideally a sign, brambles, bracken and weeds cut back, the steps on this section especially towards the Fort need some attention to make safer.
Basic accommodation but good fun. Beautiful sunsets and lovely beaches around the Tower. Lovely walks. Enjoyed our stay.
