This house was just ideal for our family, plenty of space for all of us to enjoy. The basement room became the musicians' hub. We all had the best time here and would definitely return :)
Customer service was extremely efficient.
Couldn’t have asked for more for a weekend away with friends. The location was perfect, the house fabulous, the beds comfy. Had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend.
My family stayed here on the weekend of Storm Daragh! Despite this we found the cottage excellent for us . It was warm and cosy inside despite being very cold and windy outside.
Spotlessly clean and well decorated.
Every conceivable utensil was to be found in the kitchen and lots of crockery.
Only issue was the parking space which is fine for a small car but I couldn’t squeeze my 4x 4 in it and get out easily. However there is a large car park next to the cottage so not a big problem for us,
All in all a great place for a long weekend.
we visit the Ambleside area at least twice each year and this is certainly the best place we have stayed. The views from the beautiful bay Windows in the living room are spectacular and the central location is wonderful. The condition of the apartment is very hard to fault. The only thing I would point out if being hypocritical, is the water for the bath didn’t run quite hot enough, but with a couple of kettles added it was just fine.
Thomas Fold Flat was lovely & warm and in an excellent location. I did find though that the sofa was really uncomfortable. I had to go and buy a camping chair to sit on (costing £45). I also feel that the outside space is not safe for dogs. It is on 2 levels with quite a big drop. We had to block off the top level to make it safer for our dogs.
Great apartment with parking. Great location just few minutes walk into central Bowness. We parked the cars and never used them until we left. Sofas and chairs uncomfortable. Need brush and pan for floors upstairs kitchen lounge area. Other than that perfect.
We really enjoyed our stay at Beech Cottage. As some other reviews have touched on, the garden is not secure for dogs so just bear this in mind when booking to stay with your dogs. The house was cleaned well but needs some TLC in places, mainly the family bathroom that needs a new blind urgently as it is not private currently. The kitchen could also do with some larger pots and pans to serve 6 people, half of them didn’t work on the induction hob and the extractor fan was broken. The house is in a perfect location to explore the Langdales. Chester’s on the River serves lovely baked goods and l...more
