This was my first time in Fitzwilliam Lodge, having stayed in one of the other lodges previously. The lodge is really cosy, but spacious, and well equipped with everything you could need. Beds (and pillows) were comfortable and bedding was high quality and clean. There were a few cobwebs around the hanging light fittings, but otherwise very clean. The hot tub was amazing, always hot! The decked area is enclosed so the dog could run around without escaping. There is plenty of grassland around for the dog to run about on a long lead. Had a wonderful relaxing time with my mum for her birthday. The setting and lodge was more than we had expected. The only negative thing I would say was that maybe the sofas could have been facing the lake as that view was lovely and peaceful.
Excellently appointed lodge in a superb lakeside location. Lodge was well equipped and comfortable. Ideally suited for couples with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms st the ends with a warm and comfortable lounge and kitchen. Deck area was extensive with a superb hot tub. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Needs a little step for getting in and out of hot tub. Couldn’t reach middle or top shelves in kitchen. A little step ladder required otherwise perfect.
