Decided to “get away” for a pre Christmas break for our wedding anniversary in the Dales and happened upon The Dairy by chance. What a great time we had at this lovely little cottage, the standard of the accommodation was exceptional in all departments. The thought that has gone into this property is fantastic, the dairy is mainly focused for guests with disabilities but suitable for all. The hamlet that this cottage is situated in is peaceful, however a great pub is only a short walk away that serves good pub grub, an extra bonus! Attached to the owner’s house but totally self contained “The Byre” is a luxurious cosy retreat for two. We loved the festive touches which made it an extra treat for us. There is a secure parking space and outdoor seating in a patio area by the back of the property plus access to shared (with the owner and another rental property) gardens and seating areas. Newbiggin is a small residential and farming village (no shop) tucked away from the main road but within easy walking distance of a dining pub on the main road. We had a very enjoyable weekend at “The Byre” and hope to return.
