Wonderful place for a break. Small but well appointed. The Atholl Estare staff always so efficient and friendly. Our second visit to Blair Atholl and we shall return.
Perfect stay - from pre-arrival information, to the cabin, the quality and the setting, everything exceeded expectations.
Clachan Cottage was a really lovely place to stay. A beautiful renovation on a great site - good layout, big bedrooms, well appointed kitchen with everything you needed, peaceful setting. The local walks are brilliant and really accessible, including if you have dogs. The cottage is in a great location, close to Blair Atholl but also the A9 to Pitlochry or Aviemore. Great value for money.
What a fantastic location with walks and biking routes from the doorstep. Great views across the valley - we loved watching the mist roll in. Cottage is well equipped and clean with the best hot shower and the outdoor bath a treat even in the windiest and wettest weather. The housekeeper was excellent and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back
Cottage was very well presented and equipped with a good enclosed garden for our dog. Great layout and amenties in the cottage. Only downside was that you have to follow a single dirt track road that’s very bumpy with potholes for a couple of miles to get there. If this had been clear in the description we would not have booked it.
Spent a couple of nights here again at the Shepherds hut at Tulliemet. Did a lovely walk up on the moors and spent a wonderful day at Blair Castle and its beautiful grounds. Have been there many times and never tire of it.
Cabin in lovely location, accommodation very good standard. Perfect for walking and relaxing. Very peaceful
Hazel is a perfectly appointed, super stylish and comfortable place to stay. Every detail has been considered in the layout and amenities within the cabin. Sitting on the cabins deck in the beautiful chairs with a cup of morning coffee watching the mist rise over the loch was incredible special. Conveniently located next to Dunkeld which is packed with lots of lovely cafes and shops, as well as plenty of walks which can be done either from the cabin door or in the surrounding area.
All the comforts of home and against a beautifully restored background of a cozy cottage at the end of a one-track-road. Well equipped kitchen and audio visual gear.
Great location for the Highland Games. Wonderful walks directly from the property. Overall property very comfortable for 3 people and very nice to have the laundry. Would definitely recommend to others!
We have been coming here a while.... and truly love it. Magnificent landscape, wonderful and comfortable lodge, wonderful team on site, memorable holidays.
I stayed here for my birthday hoping for somewhere I could go, forget the world and switch off. I wasn't disappointed. The hut is small, but warm, modern and extremely comfortable but the views across the Glen are indescribable, woke up to a cloud inversion toward Dunkeld on the first morning - a memory that will stay with me. I have to say, the customer service is above and beyond also. Everyone i deal with was incredibly helpful and flexible and made me feel right at home.
Excellent week with my partner and our 2 year old. The house was very spacious, clean with a nice feel to it. The location was excellent - we spent time at Aviemore, Newtonmore, Blair Athol and Loch Tay. There is a bus stop right outside the properties that goes to Pitlochry. We used this to go to Blair Athol, very handy!
The location is stunning and was made even more beautiful by the gorgeous autumnal colours, spreading as far as the eye could see. Lots of trees planted between lodges gives plenty of privacy too. The lodges have a fantastic loch side position, take in the tranquil views while relaxing in chairs with sheepskin pads from your decking. The kitchen is very well equipped with an assortment of crockery pots, utensils and dishes. Plus the usual oven, hob, dishwasher and an under-counter fridge with freezer compartment. A microwave would be a useful addition however, and if wall mounted wouldn't us...more
Our 15th (?) year of our two families getting together in Easter holidays for long walks, cycles, games, and family meals. As the kids have got older they have dipped in and out depending on university, other holidays, work commitments etc. but everyone is clear they want to keep coming back to this beautiful old house with family connections from the 1950's. One of the main charms of Old Blair is how comfortable and relaxed it is. It is in lovely condition but not so smart that it lacks character. It is our special home when we visit
Tulliemet is a large and very comfortable house in a stunning location. It is well equipped for a large number of guests. It is well maintained and, importantly, has plenty of hot water! Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful housekeeper who can also provide eggs and meat from the farm on which Tulliemet sits. I highly recommend it.
Wonderfully comfortable cabin surrounded by gorgeous scenery. Couldn't ask for a more peaceful holiday.
This has been our second visit to Marble Lodge and we can’t wait to return next year. The location is incredible and the lodge itself is a complete home from home; so clean and comfortable. Plenty of logs for the fire, faster internet than at home and a very comfy bed. We absolutely love it. The team at Atholl are lovely too.
We had a wonderful stay at Kindrochet Lodge and were thoroughly impressed by every aspect of our experience. The lodge is spacious, impeccably clean, and exceptionally cozy, offering the perfect blend of comfort and charm. The interior design strikes a great balance between traditional Scottish character and modern amenities, making it an ideal place to relax after exploring the surrounding nature. The service was outstanding – professional, friendly, and always attentive without being intrusive. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in ensuring guests have a memorable stay. We wou...more
